We were in Denholm on this trip. My previous Scotland trip was in Falkirk

usually gridding the land is the best method, we had so much land to hunt there and only about 8 days so we didnt have the time to do that, the finds were very abundant as well and hardly any modern trash to deal with. It was an amazing trip, definitely going back.

We were able to keep almost everything. A couple of items are going to the museum for review
Did you rent detector in Scotland, or fly yours out? A Scotland trip combining history and detecting sounds great, but I bet I’d be only lady there detecting.
I brought my machine with me from the states. The XP deus is a great machine for travel
If my Nokta Ultra hooks me into this hobby, then a Deus is my next choice of detector. Did you pay 40 pounds to detect ALL day, or is that price for half day? Their website isn’t clear.

every person there has a freaking Deus or Deus2....i would DEF have been killing it with a MINELAB!!
Nahhhh. The equinox doesn't perform as well as the deus in the Scottish dirt. Some people brought their Minelabs, but quickly changed them out
