    So Wes do you think knowing Python has helped solidify your knowledge of other languages as well say C#/ .Net ?

    • @WesDoyle
      @WesDoyle  2 года назад +2

      Hey, for sure. Learning any language helps build some context for any other. There are, of course, major differences between Python and C#, but spending time in more than one language and community certainly helps develop a greater overall understanding of software development.

      It's good to know, as I have been pretty focused on the one and a friend mentioned after focusing on javascript it helped him understand some functionality/ structures and algorithms for c#

    Hello Wes, glad I've discovered your channel as it is the only one I know with great .NET and Python videos.
    My first language was Python, but my first full-time job was in C#. In my current job I work using both because there's a huge legacy .NET Framework platform and new stuff using Flask microservices.
    I see myself as a mid level developer and I think I should focus more in one path at the moment to become a senior, as it is not just the language, but an entire ecossystem to master .
    There are plenty of jobs for both, so that's not really a concern and I know there are multiple personal takes on this, but if this was your case what would you suggest?
    Maybe if you could do a video about this saying your pros and cons about both would be great.

    It’s off the topic. Do you think its worth learning Django?

    • @WesDoyle
      @WesDoyle  2 года назад +2

      I’ve enjoyed using Django in the past! If Python is your primary language and you’re getting into web development, then Django or Flask are good options.

      Currently going over the old Library project you did, but I am applying a .Net 6 approach. Figuring out connections strings to my db

      @@bigbeeforever Nice! I've started a complete re-write of that project in .NET 6 also, and have started planning videos for that to be released in about 2 weeks. Would love to see what you've come up with, too!
