When Barca and Madrid come together to win the big one.
Why are goalkeepers so underrated one save from a goalkeeper can save a whole country
2008 - 2012: The golden era of Spain team
As an Italy fan, this Spain team that won 3 international titles in a row (2 Euros, 1 WC) was the best team I've ever seen. They would just not let you have the ball. And let's give some credit to Iker Casillas - the best goaltender ever - He has won everything there is to win as a football player.
Iniesta scored the goal, but almost no one remembers that Iker Casillas saved Spain with his right foot. SAN 1KER!!!
Can't believe this was 10 years ago. Feels like yesterday
12 years. Oh my heart. Still the best for me.
Man the older I get the more the nostalgia on this tournament hits. It gets more emotional everytime I look back on it
South Africa hosted a great
Iniesta didn't scored much goals. But when he did scored, his goals changed everything.
In this WC, Spain had the best defense among all the teams. They had conceded only 2 goals in total through out the whole tournament.
Who came here after today's loss ?? This team was Pure Magic! See the lineup man 🙏
you gotta admit the pass sneijder gave was insane
2010: Robben big chance
A word for Jesus Navas. The way he carried the ball from his own half beating the dutch press and was involved in the build up.
That Spainsh team was stacked. The fact that it went to extra time speaks to the Dutch's team as well. And the fact that Roben got through that Spanish defense a multiple times and got so close... only to walk into Casillas
I saw this final with my grandpa in 2010, he passed away a few days ago
A Spain that had more than half of the players from Cryuffs beloved Barca beating his homeland using his philosophy.....
I'll never forget the moment Iniesta scored that goal. We were in a packed bar in Venice Beach, California. Half of us were rooting for Spain, the other half, for Netherlands. When he scored that goal there was an eruption in the bar unlike anything I have ever seen watching a sports match. My ears were ringing afterwards.
Looking at the footage, it just looks so old fashioned now. Watching this as a kid it didn't seem old fashioned but now it really feels it
