Very well done, an almost comprehensive strategic overview of both KID and KIA in less than 20 minutes. You explain in one minute what some chess bloggers take half an hour to explicate. Subscribed!
I wanted to take a moment to congratulate you on the fantastic work you're doing on your RUclips channel. Your didactic approach is truly impressive, and the humor you infuse into your videos makes learning an incredibly enjoyable experience. Keep up the excellent work! Best regards from Brazil!
@@mortalchesshey if you need a game from my lichess account about a pawn break after using the KID (after seeing your vid lol) I can give it to you…pause
This is a breakthrough concept for going from 400 to 700. Build your pawn wall to restrict space on the side they castled to. Orient all your pieces toward the king. March pawns on king. Great lesson. Thanks.
14:30 Would Bf4 help in anyway? It closes Ke5, while still protecting the Queen. If Rook takes Queen, then Bishop take rooks and defends Knight. If Queen takes Knight, then Queen takes Queen and Bishop still closes Rook d2. If Bishop takes Knight, Queen takes B, Queen takes Queen, King takes Queen. Maybe I am missing something, or maybe this is just delaying the inevitable, but I would like to learn.
Loved this opening in the shorter format games. Once you built the trump wall your opponent wastes a lot of time trying to break through while you are busy attacking him on the kingside.
And Trump can't spell Chess ..... 😂 So who's your guy ? Giant douche or Turd Sandwich? You idiots who think it matters Crack me up .... The shadow government and the Military industrial complex run the country and until dipshits quit playing the 2 party capitalism game we are all fucked .... So congrats.... and here's your sign
I will watch the king indian for white a few times, I want to master one opening and know all the responses . That way I can go into a game knowing the actions to take. Like fighting, you have your go to combo and you know it so well, it is automatic. Like a machine. Like that
Another great one, thanks! Can't wait for the next one 'cause at the moment I'm studying chess like never before. Although I've played since childhood, last time I studied theory was thirty years ago from library books 😄 And please consider making a video about Nimsowitzsch Defence(especially Kennedy variation) or Van Geet Opening, both my new favourites, At least I would love to hear your opinion about them. Cheers!
I think I once played the King's Indian Defense without even knowing it. I remember obliterating the kingside castling side of the board and eventually getting checkmate. It was a fun game.
Can you give some tips on getting better at blitz? I'm a consistent 1900 plus player with classical time control but topped out at a 1000 in blitz. I either blunder or have a winning position but lose on time.
In a game i did all the plans but my pawn chain was so large that i couldn't attack. This is the hardest opponent. The one that doesn't trade the pawns
i believe Fischer had a game where the pawns where stretched at one of the diagonals and he picked that wall bit by bit in the right time maybe the host remembers the game im talking about
Very well explained. Though I would say, that there is a limited range of ELO for this setup. At my level (1600) I tried it a couple of times, but there was always the pawn exchanges, so you never came to the mid/endgame setup. Above 2000 most likely the opponents know the opening. Nevertheless, very educational and entertaining...
but what if your opponent actually knows what they are doing and knows basic knowledge of how to defend a kingside accurately? Then what do you do after your whole attack fails and the opponent has an insane amount of space because they played b4 as well? Or what if they attack on the kingside and play g4 to prevent the f5 push and get a battery with the queen and bishop to go to h6 and they start pushing their kingside pawns f3, g4, h4, and instead of castling kingside they castle queenside?
very direct and clear, very nice to see and learn. I will be watching your channel from now on. I have sub to all. Again, you are a prayer answered. May Jesus bless all that you do. Amen. Great job
these are great videos. I enjoy them greatly but please make the adult humor a bit more subtle so i can show these to my kids cause they love your sense of humor, too when i can prescreen the videos before i show them lmao

Best chess content! I'm nowhere near 2300. Seeing how good chess players have 'plans' is surely helpful.
