    • @wolfangdigital

      Hi Terry, thanks and yes! There are definitely other suitable video lights for uw photo/video shooting. My current favourites are from OrcaTorch. An excellent dive torch + uw video light to start off with is the D900V and they are right there in China! I have personally used OrcaTorch products and I love them. @@wolfangdigital wow nice thx!! How long does the battery last in video mode underwater?

    • @wolfangdigital
      @wolfangdigital  2 года назад

      @@lecotebizarre that's a tricky question as it really depends on:
      1) How long you record your clips
      2) If you leave your camera on throughout your dive
      3) If you record HD or 4K videos
      For me, I only switch on my camera when there's something interesting to shoot and my recordings are in 4K. Each clip averages about 30 seconds. With this in mind, the battery lasts for 2 dives but I normally swap it on the boat for a fresh batt. Hope this helps

    Do you recomend it in late 2023 the sony rx100.5 versus rx100.7?

    • @wolfangdigital
      @wolfangdigital  10 месяцев назад

      Hi, the RX100 VII has a long zoom lens which may not fit most underwater housings. Because of that, I think the RX100 V is still relevant until today

  • @BingSurjawan

    Supposedly to maintain good stable buoyancy the camera rig will need a float too?

    • @wolfangdigital
      @wolfangdigital  3 года назад

      If the camera rig is negatively buoyant, a float arm with the correct weight displacement should be installed to mitigate the effects.

    Hi! WOuld you be so kind to give me an advise? I am going to scuba dive with bull sharks next month. I am a photographer but I have never shot underwater. I have the RX 100 V and have a Meikon 40mts housing with a (i think) 2k lumen light (just one). We´ll be about 25mts deeps. Any advise on the seetings etc.. I am interested primarly in photos, great photos of the sharks and second be able to change to video soon to get some footage as well.
    Any thoughts tips or advise?
    thanks so much

      Hi Urroz, at 25 meters and shooting sharks, I think you'll need an additional torch for videos. I usually have my focus on Auto and focus area on wide. Shooting on Shutter Priority. White Balance on Underwater Mode. Please Like and Subscribe. Any questions, I'll be happy to help

      @@wolfangdigital Thanks a lot. Unfortunately I only have a 2k lumen torch, would that be enough? I might have to pump up the ISO a bit, right?

    • @wolfangdigital
      @wolfangdigital  5 лет назад

      Hey Urroz, it’s not really about the ISO... it’s also about colour. A 2k lumens torch is not effective past feet at 25 meters. And a shark is big. So hopefully you can get good close up videos. Are you using the torch for photos too?

    Hey mate, Im also a huge fan of the rx100 V. im not sure if ive not constructed my hosuing properly, but i am not able to change my shutter speed or f stop settings underwater. is this a housing restriction or something ive done wrong?

    • @wolfangdigital

      Hi COVE TSHIRTS, you can set your zoom/focus ring to be a shortcut for Aperture or Shutter Speed. Go to Menu -> Custom Settings -> Custom (Shoot) and select your choice. I suggest to go for Shutter Priority and let the camera open up the aperture while you select the shutter. Hope this helps
