I grew up watching cricket at the WACA, and have now watched cricket at the new stadium. The WACA is a hellhole for a spectator. Terrible outdated facilities, no shade for large parts of the crowd, small capacity for potential max ticket sales. Takes you 20+ minutes to go to the toilet and grab some lunch.
I'm glad it's still being used and of course the pitches have made for some great cricket, but it really is an old sad outdated place nowadays.
WACA over a 100 years old. Only holds 25K. As a West Aussie, Optus stadium craps all over the WACA. Much better viewing and the pitch is as good as the WACA.
