And to think she started out publishing her work anonymously. Craziness. Isn't that so funny that her writing can be such a comfort to us so many years later?!
YES, I know what you mean. I first read it in elementary school because our class did the play. I remember thinking how weird it all was then. haha And the movies get stranger and stranger as the years go on. haha
Totally agree with Narnia. That was a nice cover as well. I read it for the first time this year and it was soooo good. I read it around Easter which I thought was a good time to be reading that part with Aslan dying. It’s now my goal to read one of the series every Easter season.
I love that copy of Narnia!!! I actually saw it at a used bookstore once, but it was like $75. I was not willing to pay that for a book I already had multiple copies of, not even Narnia.
yesss Why is that that they are so comforting to us, I wonder?! Definitely. I always have an airpod in my ear and when I don't have a current book to listen to, I turn on a JA book for comfort ALL the time! 💙
I didn’t enjoy Emma and I’ve only read it once. But I disliked her so much I’ve never picked it up again. I have noticed in the last couple of years that so many people list it as their favorite Austen. I think I need to revisit it as an adult.
I don't know that she's my favorite, but I enjoyed it so much more the second time around! When I read it last month, it was my fifth time reading JA and I think I "got" her humor much more this time and loved it!
I'm actually working on a little mini guide pdf or video or something fun for those who want to jump into Emma and enjoy it as much as possible. Something I wish I'd had the first time around. 💙
That Narnia edition is so gorgeous 😍
Isn’t it?! Live it so much!
Good choices of classics!
Thank you, mam!
