This song is actually an OST for the mobile game King's Raid, so the storyline follows the game quite a bit. Dongie was actually trained in musicals and has some classic Chinese singing/dancing training so that's probably what you were picking up on. The part where Jiu stayed up, I think that it was a part of the choreography that was made when she had slightly injured her knee, so it might have been to not aggravate the injury even after recovery.
My favourite part of the dance is in the chorus where Yoohyeon pulls a memory from her head and JiU and Siyeon pop out as echoes. One of the many visual representations of Deja Vu.

The dance wasn't fully realized. There were many ideas but they had to rush it. They just hired on a new choreographer(Hwang Sooyeon) and as celebrated her return to her trainee company was, there could been more with more time to refine..
9:20 I love their opening dance to this as they move and twirl. The little bounce they put a the end of each step as well really feels like a Court dance. You could see this in a medieval fantasy which plays into the MV storyline very well
just my personal opinion, it will be nice if you would check out the dance practice instead, i mean, as you've said on your scream video, you love seeing the choreography in it's costume and basically entirety, i do love that too bc it gives the feels and the context, but the camera on dance version are moving a lot and you are also missing a lot of good things. i mean, you may watch them on your own pace, but it will be great to see your reaction of the plain and whole choreography. it's just, there's a lot of beautiful parts that are not included in the dance version :// but yes, i'll always be here for the dreamcatcher content :>
I know 100% what you’re saying. I did watch the practice version, though not much of my perspective has actually changed. My reasons were that this dance version was shot in one take and full costume, just so I can see the piece more cinematically for it’s intended effect on my viewing experience. But if you guys want me to include a dance practice at the end of it, I don’t mind! I just hope the video isn’t too long for you all, haha.
