Fire reaction! You've chosen wisely - this group has it ALL: they're arguably the most unique in kpop and are among the best in quality/variety of instrumentation and genres, meaningful songs (ie, not superficial), vocals, visuals, choreo, personalities, and group dynamics. There's already been a lot of great suggestions, so I'll try to be a bit different with mine: - given your background preferences, here's their 2 heaviest, most 'metal' songs: No More, Endless Night - they cover a lot of diferent genres, especially on their b-sides, and here's a few of their best among them: Propose, Starlight, And There Was No One Left, Silent Night, Fireflies
Glad to see you digging into more of their music. I remember your first reaction to Bonvoyage and I knew you'd love them. I may have mentioned this before but it's been a while since that last reaction. Dreamcatcher are known for their rock/metal/k-pop fusion which has earned them the name "The Face of Rock in K-Pop" from Rolling Stone India, but don't let that fool you. They're an incredibly diverse group with the most diverse discography I've ever come across. Where all of their title tracks are Rock/Metal infused k-pop their b-sides cover a wide range of genres including Rock, Metal, EDM, Reggae, Jazz, Funk, Trap, Pop, Ballads, and many more genres of music. Finding a bias in Dreamcatcher is a difficult task and you're right, you probably won't be able to settle on any one member. I initially was a Sua bias (She's the one in Justice that sings the first pre-chorus 3:19) but very quickly realized that wasn't going to last. Some members will have stand out moments in certain MVs and performances, like how Siyeon stood out to you in Bonvoyage, but at the end of the day they're all amazing and its hard to pick a favorite. This will get even harder (or easier) once you see some of their behind the scenes content. They're all ridiculous and hilarious. The powerful voice at the end of Bonvoyage is Siyeon, who is the main vocalist. She's also the one in Justice who does the first chorus and the last chorus with the belt that goes up. She's ridiculous live. I typically recommend people start at the beginning and work their way forward. I saw Mrjackpots already have you the rest of the Nightmare series that follows Chase Me. As you saw with Chase Me, they've always been really good and their whole discography is great. If you want some live performances here are a few you can check out. I'll try to keep it to songs you've heard or covers. You may need filters for some of these videos. - Bonvoyage performance from K-Con this year. ruclips.net/video/N5IDdmFfKyE/видео.html - They had the whole stadium singing along in the added section they bring out for concerts. - Cover of Seventeen's Rock with you at K-Con this year. ruclips.net/video/dHnVG0FKPek/видео.html - This has become one of my favorite DC covers (they have well over 100). - It's Live Justice performance. ruclips.net/video/ZeXZ_ixi58I/видео.html - This is a vocal showcase and will let you see a bit of their personality. - Deja Vu concert performance from this year. ruclips.net/video/Axga3FlZu90/видео.html - They changed up the beginning of the song and it starts off acapella, this was the first time they did it like this. If you want some guides these are two that recommend to people. An Extensive Guide to Dreamcatcher 2023 by Dreamer. This is an overview guide. It will give you some information about the group, as well as some info on their time as Minx, snippets from each title track up to Bonvoyage, and a section for each member highlighting their personalities. ruclips.net/video/6TzMO2rkL0k/видео.html The This is ________ Series by Insomnicsy. I usually recommend this as a follow up to a big guide like the one I listed above. www.youtube.com/@insomnicsy# Enjoy getting to know them and their music.
Dude Dreamcatcher is soooo good. I think some of my favs are Odd Eye, Scream, La Maison and Black or White. Also there is a live version of Justice and its fantastic. Great channel thanks for the reaction.
Chase Me was Dreamcatcher's debut song and the first part of the Nightmare Story Arc. The next song is Good Night, then Fly High, You & I, What, Piri, and Breaking Out to wrap things up. Dreamcatcher always tell stories in their title tracks and usually the stories run over two or more songs.
I LOVE THIS SONGS!!!!!! I can't waiting for your another Dreamchatcher's song reaction. I think you definitely enjoyed their rock....lol Thanks for reaction
The blue haired girl is the same as the purple haired one in justice. Siyeon, pronounced she-yawn, is their main vocalist and the he only actual rock vocalist in kpop at the moment. Her live vocals go crazy and she loves ad libbing ridiculously difficult notes, making them higher, longer and adding more vibrato. Their older music was jrock inspired and by scream they established a core sound that is very them. Vocally, only Siyeon is properly rock since she used to front a band before debuting as an idol but all the other girls started taking rock lessons around vision era. Now they just flex vocals at every live stage. I personally think studio recordings don't do them justice (lol). Here's their live performance of 2 rings, a b-side- ruclips.net/video/qbii2TqALx8/видео.htmlsi=H74Oa9XpNo6SNAG And a live performance of rising, their very rock heavy b-side- ruclips.net/video/yT279aIn50w/видео.htmlsi=iUDkRmLjE6pmhs7r Both are from their recent tour.
Welcome to the Dreamworld! Dreamcatcher are very unique. They are the dark angels of Kpop and the only girl group who consistently incorporate Rock and Metal in their title tracks, fusing that with Kpop into something that basically is a new genre. They also are drenched in horror and social criticism, which again is special. Plus, they are massively talented, all of them. And while the girls look like they could rip out your spine when they are on stage, off stage they are adorable crackheads. 😉 Justice is part two of a two-part series, the first one is OOTD, which intentionally sounds very differently. While OOTD was about falling for the temptations of modern life and a satire on narcissism (especially influencers and fast fashion), I believe Justice is telling us to fight those temptations for a better world. It is a call to become a warrior for good in the world and fight the materialism that seems to be the most important thing for so many people in the developed countries. You can see JiU break the bonds that hold her down, and we should do the same. There are also many references to their older MVs in this. The paintings also have a deeper meaning in Chase me, there is a sword in Deja Vu and Scream, the bite into the apple is a callback to BEcause and the tree to the Dystopia trilogy - and so on. There are many more. The 8th figure in the end could also be JiU from Deja Vu, finally breaking the cycle of violence and leading to justice. Musically, I love the song. The guitars in the pre-chorus and chorus are pure heaven (just like Dongie with her wings). It has the right amount of heaviness for me, and it is an anthem and a call to action. I also love that they shortened the pre-chorus by two bars in the second half, throwing us into the chorus early. Justice is a brilliant, epic release, showing everyone that a group can still produce fantastic music and MVs after seven and a half years. Deja Vu is nothing short of a masterpiece. It is a beautiful, fragile ballad that kicks your teeth down your throat in the chorus. It is extra difficult to sort out, because it tells the story from two perspectives. You know how even evil people think they are the good guys? This is reflected here. One perspective is Yoohyeon's, who gets corrupted right in the beginning. She thinks JiU is bad (does not want to share power) and backstabs her and kills, imprisons or banishes the other members so that she can rule alone. The other perspective is reality, where we can see JiU be kind to Yoohyeon, but she gets killed for it. I believe this is a commentary on the different perspectives people can have about the same event. The lyrics seem to hint at an abusive relationship, where there are usually two perspectives as well, and the abuser finds excuses to justify their actions, while the abused find themselves in an endless Deja Vu. "Bon Voyage" is the 3rd and final part of the Apocalypse trilogy, which is about the destruction of the environment by humanity. The members have mentioned that it is about giving nature a break. Any encounter between human beings always has separation attached to it as well, just as death is a part of life. SuA also said that the fluffy floating thing that Dami summons from her painting is a cell, representing nature. It has been named "Celly" and is adorable, right? My dark mind believes that they are saying "Have a good trip" to humanity, since we are well on our way of wiping ourselves out. It's like a breakup between humanity and the earth. Once humanity is gone, nature gets the break it needs and the circle will begin again. For me, the key to understanding the lyrics is that they are singing as human beings, not as a single person. And they are singing to nature, confessing their love and the realization that we are not good for nature and that it probably resents us. It could also be the other way round (them singing as mother nature to humanity). SuA jumping out after the dove seem to represent their desire for peace. The story of the MV seems to be that the rest of humanity has sheltered away under force fields after the apocalypse. This gives nature time to heal. Musically I can already say this is one of their best songs for me. The chorus slaps hard, and the variations between heavy and slow are just beautiful. It has emotion and impact at the same time. Putting JiU's sweet voice together with an acoustic guitar is simply genius. "Chase me" was their debut, released on January 13th (a Friday), 2017. It must have been nerve-wrecking for the members, re-debuting with a genre that is not popular in Korea after Minx failed. (5 of them were Minx before.) But they already doubled their sales with this. And they stuck with the Rock/Metal vibe until today, now selling 50 times the albums than Minx did. This is the start of the Nightmare arc, which spans 6 MVs and 1 Japanese release. They are Nightmares here, and the Nightmare hunter is trying to dispel them - how that turns out is shown in the next one, Good Night. Their dance costume here is like a shortened Yukata, except wrapped right over left, something that's usually only done for the deceased. Fits well into the horror concept!
Dystopia Trilogy: Scream/Boca/Odd EYE then their most kpopish title song BEcause, which was their first love song that ends in a murder scene (lyricwise)

Welcome among InSomnia!!! Ever since your first XG-Woke Up reaction I was hoping you will dive deeper into my Ult group - Dreamcatcher. Since you chose the same path to dive into XG as it was in my suggestion that time, I hope I can help with Dreamcatcher as well. My first and foremost assumption is that you WILL WANT to dig deep into Dreamcatcher as they have almost 100 tracks and a non-skip discography. So I assume that you will want to check it out fully. Some remarks to start with: All Dreamcatcher title track contain rock / metal elements. They are under their own small company that gives them creative freedom which is no surprise since they are already mixing in rock/metal into the title tracks which is not a popular thing in Korea to begin with. But they love to experiment and they actually cover a crazy amount of genres from Jazz, Reggie, R&B, Trap, Funk, EDM all the way to Punk Rock, Symphonic metal, J-Metal. But due to the restriction mentioned first a Dreamcatcher song that does not have rock or metal section cannot be a title track - only a B-Side - no matter how much of a banger it is otherwise. And they do not play around with tracks, all their tracks have a very high production and vocal value. So for this group, B-Sides are not optional at all. Just to give an example how true this is: Their last EP - VirtouS has the title track and 'Justice' you have just heard how much of a banger it is...Yet the EP has 4 tracks and I can name at least two reactors for any of the 4 tracks that placed that as best track of the EP and I would say only 20% put actually Justice to no1 position yet large majority agreed it is a very very good title track. But their B-Sides.... My current personal order for the last EP is 2rings>Justice>Fireflies>STΦMP but this order has changed twice over the past 6 months. But the message is clear: B-Sides are not optional for them. Having said all the above, the order I suggest to get into Dreamcatcher: Start with a guide to get to know the members and do ALBUM REACTIONS in chronological order instead of going through just the title tracks. Also that way you will get to hear their intros as well, since they are the queens of Intros. Never skip an Intro... As for the guide I personally like this: 'The Ultimate 2021/2022 Dreamcatcher Guide 🎠 Welcome to the Dreamworld!' ruclips.net/video/SY9ep3x0Pu8/видео.html But it is outdated. The 'An Extensive Guide to Dreamcatcher 2023' is also good, even better to collect the album details but somehow the ambience is not as great. ruclips.net/video/6TzMO2rkL0k/видео.html Also there is the 'This is ______ Series' by Insomnicsy, always 7 min each focusing on one member at a time throughout one year, highly recommended but does not replace the guide in the sense that the guide shows the role of a member within the group while the 'This is ______ Series' by Insomnicsy focuses only on personality. Here start with year 2000 and work your way up. Another remark: Dreamcatcher company is a relatively poor company, so especially in the beginning they were tight on budget so only the title tracks have M/V. But they have tried their best to add visual content so many of the B-Sides have low budget 'Special Clip' which is a basic M/V official to the track. If available, go for the Special clip as you will be grinding through plenty of B-Sides throughout your journey. The extensive guide actually lists if these are available for a track. Ok, this is for now, welcome and enjoy your journey!
if Her Vocal Reach your Heart and Soul , that's Normal , She is above Human , she is a Legendary Dreamcatcher , she is above wizards , angels , fairies and all beings
Also if you want to venture into Japan I suggest all female hard rock band Band Maid. There is healthy overlap between DC and BM fans and BM fans support reactors well. I’d suggest Bandmaid Domination (official live video) as a starting point. BM is best experienced In a live setting. Domination also has a music video but the live will give you a more complete picture
Some extra content recommendation early on: For 'Justice' both the 'DancEAR' and the 'Live Band' versions are highly recommended: [LIVE] Dreamcatcher(드림캐쳐) _ JUSTICE | dancEAR | 댄스이어 | 라이브 퍼포먼스 | Live Performance | 4K ruclips.net/video/mmDSxJxyxTw/видео.html [4K] Dreamcatcher - “JUSTICE” Band LIVE Concert [it's Live] K-POP live music show ruclips.net/video/ZeXZ_ixi58I/видео.html First shows them perform the full choreography basically with totally raw live vocals and spatial audio (no backing track), while the Band Live is also live with live instruments. One of the reasons you must see 'Justice' live is that from the M/V it might not be immediately clear but the chorus high note is actually belted out by 5 !! different members of the group (while a 6th member does it also in the showcase version)
i recomend you to watch Guide to Dreamcatcher welcome to dreamworld if you want to know their personality its very entertaining guide, and Dreamcatcher is full of funny girl and adorable
"Let's fucking go!" That's the reaction we Insomnias (Dreamcatcher's fandom) had when they dropped Justice.
So true I think I listened to it 100+ times when they dropped Justice
I love Dreamcatcher my favorite kpop group I saw them in November absolutely incredible live and their sound mixes rock and metal
25:50 Yeah, the Blue Hair hit that note. She is Siyeon, an incredible Woman with an exceptional voice
Fire reaction! You've chosen wisely - this group has it ALL: they're arguably the most unique in kpop and are among the best in quality/variety of instrumentation and genres, meaningful songs (ie, not superficial), vocals, visuals, choreo, personalities, and group dynamics. There's already been a lot of great suggestions, so I'll try to be a bit different with mine:
- given your background preferences, here's their 2 heaviest, most 'metal' songs: No More, Endless Night
- they cover a lot of diferent genres, especially on their b-sides, and here's a few of their best among them: Propose, Starlight, And There Was No One Left, Silent Night, Fireflies

I may have mentioned this before but it's been a while since that last reaction.
Dreamcatcher are known for their rock/metal/k-pop fusion which has earned them the name "The Face of Rock in K-Pop" from Rolling Stone India, but don't let that fool you. Where all of their title tracks are Rock/Metal infused k-pop their b-sides cover a wide range of genres including Rock, Metal, EDM, Reggae, Jazz, Funk, Trap, Pop, Ballads, and many more genres of music.

Musically, I love the song. The guitars in the pre-chorus and chorus are pure heaven (just like Dongie with her wings). Also that way you will get to hear their intros as well, since they are the queens of Intros. Never skip an Intro...
As for the guide I personally like this: 'The Ultimate 2021/2022 Dreamcatcher Guide 🎠 Welcome to the Dreamworld!'

But it is outdated. The 'An Extensive Guide to Dreamcatcher 2023' is also good, even better to collect the album details but somehow the ambience is not as great.

Also there is the 'This is ______ Series' by Insomnicsy, always 7 min each focusing on one member at a time throughout one year, highly recommended but does not replace the guide in the sense that the guide shows the role of a member within the group while the 'This is ______ Series' by Insomnicsy focuses only on personality.
Can we already tell him 'Endless Night'?
endless night sound generic as jpop song
if Her Vocal Reach your Heart and Soul ,
that's Normal ,
She is above Human ,
she is a Legendary Dreamcatcher ,
she is above wizards , angels , fairies and all beings
Dreamcstcher is so good 🔥
Also if you want to venture into Japan I suggest all female hard rock band Band Maid. There is healthy overlap between DC and BM fans and BM fans support reactors well. I’d suggest Bandmaid Domination (official live video) as a starting point. BM is best experienced In a live setting. Domination also has a music video but the live will give you a more complete picture
Dreamcatcher e XG as melhores.
Some extra content recommendation early on: For 'Justice' both the 'DancEAR' and the 'Live Band' versions are highly recommended:
[LIVE] Dreamcatcher(드림캐쳐) _ JUSTICE | dancEAR | 댄스이어 | 라이브 퍼포먼스 | Live Performance | 4K
ruclips.net/video/mmDSxJxyxTw/видео.html
[4K] Dreamcatcher - “JUSTICE” Band LIVE Concert [it's Live] K-POP live music show
ruclips.net/video/ZeXZ_ixi58I/видео.html
First shows them perform the full choreography basically with totally raw live vocals and spatial audio (no backing track), while the Band Live is also live with live instruments.
One of the reasons you must see 'Justice' live is that from the M/V it might not be immediately clear but the chorus high note is actually belted out by 5 !! different members of the group (while a 6th member does it also in the showcase version)
Ateez and Dreamcatcher are sibling groups 🎉 they share producers
