when browsing for books to read, i always look for book reviews. reading vlogs have become some of my absolute favorite videos to film so i had to try out reading YOUR favorite books... (spoiler alert: i read 6 books AND the results were veeery interesting). booktube and booktok has buzzed about these books… let’s see if i’ll enjoy them. the video has a book talk / book review portion as i read the books that is completely spoiler free, as well as live reactions. i hope you guys enjoy this one and come out with one more book to add to your TBR and some good book recommendations for 2022!

I was one of those annoying people always recommending daisy jones & the six in your insta stories because I just knew you were going to like it!! It was so emotional and intriguing and you can't help but fall in love with these broken people...it's truly (dare I say) a masterpiece and one of my absolute favorite books. Daisy jones as a character is one of the most interesting and best written main characters. Her life was that of an unloved child who always seeked some sort of love in the wrong people and never got anything in return. When she finally finds someone who understands her, this person belongs to another. I love daisy with all my heart I could cry just thinking about her...and I would die for her (and camila obviously) any day!! Also let's not forget simone...she deserves so much more recognition!! I'm so happy you liked the book and I can't wait for the show because the casting is literally perfect OMG

Completely disagree about Kingdom of the Cursed but that's the power of readers opinion and different reading preferences. I enjoyed the KOTW but LOVED KOTC. I can't wait for the third one!!

I feel so VALIDATED seeing someone who thoroughly enjoyed the FBAA absolutely despising Crown of Gilded Bones LMAOOO like im convinced that book single handedly sent me into a fantasy slump right after I read it last year. I'm also so glad you enjoyed The Wicked King!!! That was definitely my favorite book in that trilogy🤩

The assassins blade novella were published before ToG but put together into a book later. She originally had parts of these as flashbacks in ToG but the editors/publishers said it removed from the story so they made the flashbacks into novellas instead. They were published one a season before ToG to build up hype

I didnt really enjoy Daisy Jones and the Six but I'm glad you did. 😭 I don't think it's all that interesting and good, and all the characters are just horrible, none of them are likeable 💀.

honestly i couldn't stand daisy jones and the six. the characters were uninteresting and the story was flat and boring. i rated it like a 1, total trash for me and not worth any hype. it was a bummer because i loved the husbands of evelyn hugo which i read first.

As you seem to read a lot, how long do you read in one sitting? Or how many hours a day? I honestly sometimes feel like I don't have enough time to read but I know that many people read much more than I do and I just wonder how much time you spend for it. :)
i honestly prefer to read as close to one sitting as possible because i suck at reading every day😭

Assassins Blade is the only book on this list I've read and I loved that it fleshed out so much from the series. I admit that until seeing your response, I had no interest in Daisy Jones & the Six but am now adding it to my tbr! 💯
having read the rest of TOG before TAB, i now finally have the context of how it directly impacts later books, and worldbuilding on characters that seemingly came out nowhere for me because i hadn't read TAB, so it was great!!!
