There aren't many LeMans out there quite like this one! Right here is a highly-original 1966 Pontiac LeMans, dressed in the original drivetrain and all! For Pontiac, the LeMans was the "midsize' offering from 1961 to 1981. For 1966, Pontiac restyled the LeMans to have "tunnel back" (more streamlined) rooflines on two-door hardtop and pillared coupes, of which this specific '66 is an example. This sweet '66 is presented with a older "Montero Red" paintjob spread out over an incredibly straight body. The original "Parchment White" interior is in fantastic shape for its age, making this car a real comfortable one to ride in. The wood-grain trim adorning the dashboard and the center console is in great shape as well. This fantastic LeMans is powered by its believed to be correct 326 C.I. V8 paired to a 2-barrel carburetor making upwards of 250hp. Power is supplied to the rear wheels through a 2-speed "Power glide" automatic transmission, delivering an extremely smooth and linear ride. This stylish '66 comes with a plethora of options, including power steering, power brakes, an updated AM/FM radio, a working heater with blower fan, wipers, remote mirrors, a power antenna, ventilated windows, and a clock. The car rides on a set of BF Goodrich RWL tires fitted to some steel rally wheels that are in good shape. If you are looking for a nearly original cruiser, then this stunning '66 LeMans may just be the ride you're looking for!

My very dear friend had one in blue. She never ran the air conditioner because it used too much gas!!
I'm still looking for it high and low. Nice car.

If that is an original transmission, it is not a Power Glide. It is a Super Turbine 300, the same transmission which had a variable torque converter called "switch pitch" in Oldsmobiles and Buicks. The switch pitch feature wasn't used in Pontiacs though, so it did operate basically like a Power Glide. But it is a different design, and the bell housing would not mate to a Chevrolet engine.
