Woa really solid advice and your "Random Kobeni'' Technique, actually makes drawing the same thing look fun! I don't find drawing from random refence fun but this might change that-
It's fine to do maybe 10 of these to get a feel for the process and the tools, but the rate of improvement will be very slow without using 10-20 hours per piece to developed deeper levels of value, color and edge control.
