To be honest, I felt like the spirit is Chris’s mom. I don’t think he’s dead. I think his mom is protecting him. I think his super power is his mom. She’s protecting him, even in the afterlife. She’s making his dreams of being a super hero real due to his sadness with his dad to cheer him up and she catches him so that he won’t be hurt when he falls. Also, the levitation part seemed to surprise him, catch him off guard like he wasn’t in control of it, and he bounced as if someone had caught him. Life is Strange has always seemed to be about dead spirits giving powers to their loved ones in order to help give the living loved one closure. Chloe the butterfly gave Max the chance to rewind time when she died so she didn’t regret either losing her or never having reconnected with her at all. Maybe Chris’s mom is the mare and she’s trying to help him cope with her death.
So are we saying William gave Rachel power who in turn gave Max powers to protect Chloe? So now, Emily is giving x friend of Chris powers to protect Chris?
I don’t necessarily think that Chris is dead, but I think that he and the neighbor kid are gonna team up for sure. I think those two are gonna be the new Max and Chloe
For me, I see this whole episode as Chris trying to resolve his feelings about his mother dying and he does it in the way kids do; by playing make believe. There are the obvious ‘Captain Spirit’ fantasies he engages in but there are also more subtle things like cooking for his dad, washing his clothes... - all the things his mum probably did (there’s not much reason for this stuff existing in the game otherwise). In a subconscious way, I think he’s playing the role of his mum in the house. So, as interesting as it would be if Chris was dead, I think the death theme in this episode relates to his mother’s death and how it permeates everything. That he doesn’t defeat Mantroid shows there’s still somewhere left to go with his quest to resolve these feelings. There’s also the literal mystery of his mum’s death to explore, which is another way he might attempt to resolve things. These, I’m guessing, will be the themes of the LIS2.
well it's heavily implied that LIS 2 is going to have male leads so instead of it being lesbian (which is what past games depict) it would be literally gay.
I feel the mustard in the hotdog comic might be Hal, whoever that is, as his name comes up twice in Chris' room (once with playing and once at the arcade)
I think that's taking the metaphor too literally tbh. Also fighting your older brother (not in like a sibling way, in a hero vs villain way) would suck.
Not to shit on your theory, but I *really* *REALLY* hope that he isn't dead. I think that will be way too cliche and heavy-handed of a plot. Even if they just go the "Literally just LIS 1 again" route of having the boy at the end be the main character and have him protect Chris (and probs gay stuff) I'd be 100% okay with that. There's enough interesting stuff going on in reality in this plot already that it really doesn't need the Sixth Sense stuff imo
Zeldarulah idk, so in the midde of lis 2, he will see and talk to his mother? And as the final choice you make on lis 1 will change soms little things on lis 2, does that mean that he will talk to chloe, like a very short conversation, maybe just a voice in his head? Idk
I hope life is strange 2 will choose to focus on a male gay relationship not just because I want "gay for the sake of gay", but because it's honeslty rare we see a positive male gay relationship in games and Dontnot have already proven that they can handle LGBT relationships with extreme care, grace and maturity. With all that being said I certainly don't want to put any pressure on the developers to twist the story in a way that's not faithful to their vision just to appeal to a certain community, if chris or whatever character we end up playing as is straight, I'll be just as happy and I'm beyond looking forward to life is strange 2. #lifeisstrange2confirmedgay
Also, if they're both mustards and little mustard is terrified - maybe that symbolizes confronting an older family member? Omg we're talking about Hawt Dawg symbolism. Yep I'm proud of my life lol
Does anyone remember conversation between Chris and his toy in the treehouse? It was something about surviving the STORM. The toy said it didn’t do any harm. I know it’s stupid, but what if there is more to it.
The travelling protag idea makes sense. There's at least two train references in Captain Spirit, and one is about teenagers hopping trains. I thought it was just LiS1/BtS throwback (considering the Kerouac reference) but now I'm not so sure. If you're right about Chris.... damn, DONTNOD! I mean. "Hey come play our super fun atmospheric demo about imagination & superhero play! Oh btw his mom's dead. Also him."
I am not really convinced, but if you look back at the early Geek Remix fan theories about Life is Strange season 1, they were eerily spot on about everything..... So... Btw you could take the Hot Dawg comic to represent Chloe and Rachel's relationship, where Rachel saved Chloe from her loneliness and then Chloe felt compelled to help fight Rachel's Demons with her. Or you could say it is like Max and Chloe's relationship, with Max also getting involved in Chloe's problems and quiet literally with the Chloe picking up Max with her car like the Mustard does with the Hot Dawg. Can't wait for more of the same, I really hope the Rainbow was really on the nose
i dont like the theory of chris being dead. i dont mean it's a bad theory or that it's unlikely. i just dont like the idea of chris being dead, cos i dont rly want that kind of game thats about spirits with superpowers. i would much prefer chris to be alive in lis 2, whether with or without super powers doesnt matter to me.
One thing that drew out to me when I played was the newspaper talking about the unexplained deaths in Seattle. Perhaps this too will have some meaning or reference to LIS 2?
Oh no! Did something happen to the video? Hope ya just wanted to edit it more. Anyway, like I said last time, it's a bit too odd that the two neighbor boys just wave at Chris after his "Death". Even if they both can see ghosts, they'd have both seen him just die. As for the possibility that the neighbor kid is the one with powers, and they may have to face someone like Chris's friend, but bigger and more powerful. Do you think that could be the neighbor kid's older sibling? Hope you and Stacy enjoy the game when it's out! =w= b
The idea of Chris being dead is so depressing. He's a good kid and has so much pain to deal with and is still processing it. I think the whole death theme of the prequel has to do with Chris having to deal with his mother's death. The original theme song "Death with Dignity" actually talks about the artist Sufjan Stevens missing and wanting to be with his mother (he lost his mother when he was young, just like Chris). In overall I think that LIS 2 will focus on another character, not Chris, because maybe that was the whole point of having this prequel, introducing the problem that Chris lives with to not waste time later on the actual game explaining it. The director of both 'The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit' and 'Life is Strange 2' confirmed that these two are connected and that LIS 2 didn't have enough time to get in dept with Chris' storyline but that it is so important to the story that it needed to be told in another way. AND YES, everyone is speculating that LIS 2 will deal with running away for home.
I think that the Shark-stinger is a nod to LiS season 1. The shark-stinger has a red color which represents Nathan, while the civilian has a blue color which represents Chloe. I think that intervening represents Max when she rewinds and doing nothing represents when Max lets Chloe die in episode 5 (depends if you sacrifice her or not).
I love to watch these theory videos so much. It’s clear Mari puts so much detail into analysing these games and I love to watch her passion in these videos. I’m really looking forewords to LIS2 and I can’t wait to see how it all turns out! 💖
I LIKE THIS Chris doesn’t need to be dead for part of this theory either (though he still could). There’s two lines of thought here: 1) Chris has no powers or is a spirit, but Neighbor Kid has powers and one is levitation (the thing that saved Chris) or can see ghosts. They work together and they have to fight someone from Neighbor Kid’s life (seeing as he is “also mustard”). 2) Chris has powers and works along side Neighbor kid who helps him deal with his Father (also mustard) or the person who killed his mother happens to also have powers which could make them “Also Mustard”. Chris mentions at one point that he wants Captain Spirit to work alongside Hawtdawg Man. Another thought that comes to mind is that Hawtdawg Man and Mustard are Neighbor Kid and whoever was with them at the end of the demo. Maybe all three of them work together?
The music playing in the last scene when chris runs outside and falls from the treehouse sounds kinda staticy like those spirit boxes you use to talk to the dead 👀
Horses were representative of a connection between other worlds, the living and the dead, as well as between reality and beyond. The symbolism of the horse is evident in the transportation between worlds in the world tree, Yggdrasil. specifically as Odinn’s horse, Sleipnir. This symbolic representation of the horse in Norse mythology is significant
Also why I think Chris *might* be gay or bisexual is when he is inside the tree house there's a doll.. and he says something like "dad says this is a girls doll but I don't care".. now I'm not saying young kids playing with dolls meant for the opposite gender makes them gay.. it's just a thought I had in that moment
Someone may have already noticed this, but there is also what looks like a kid's drawing of a horse on Chris's pencil case that you can see when he's drawing Captain Spirit/ at 0:43 of your video (I mean it is horse-like?)
your theory reminded me of "beyond two souls". when you mentioned spiritual powers and the other kid it reminded me (spoilers) of the girl and her dead brother working together to help her.
sry if someone probably already asked this, but did you go back and try calling mrs reynolds house? if you call when the dad is awake, she picks up and talks to you normally, but if you call when the dad is asleep, it's only silence and creepy breathing from the other end.
watching this after knowing everything about lis2 was so interesting. even though a lot of this was wrong considering what we know now, a lot of it still made so much sense and made me understand a lot more of who Chris is and how what happens in the game reflects what he was going through.
My take on this is that this whole captain spirit episode is telling us how Lis2's protaganist (the neighbor) and its companion met up at the first time, years ago. When we start playing S2, there will be a timeskip and we will play them as teenagers or even older. What's interesting tho, is that the developers confirmed that you can play S2 without playing Captain Spirit. So I think that this episode will be just getting to know the backstory of your companion and what a shitty life he's having. It's exactly like Max and Chloe. Except Max is the neighbor and Chloe is Chris. EDIT: Can someone explains to me how did Chris's mother died exactly ? It could be the core mystery plot of S2. Maybe they did realize that there is more to her death than they know. And maybe the side characters of S2 will be the ones who were mentioned in Captain Spirit, like the private investigator and Charles's girlfriend.
Im pretty sure the backpack in the trailer is chris' backpack what we see in the game: just worn and turned dark, you can see the same faint outlines of the markings from the original bag, i'll try to make an image to show this.
You should be a person that reads audiobooks. Your voice is so nice. Just like "Ahoys" voice. You two could narrate a guy taking a sh*t and it would be good
Dontnod wouldn't have Chris meet those boys without reason. I remember an interview with Dontnod awhile back explaining that if they were to do a sequel, it would share similar themes with the original. Having it revolve two characters; one, having powers, and the other keeping them grounded, connects with your theory alongside Hawt Dawg Man. If it's true, it's hilarious that they made HDM valid. I'm so glad we have something to obsess over again
I teared up at the end of Captain Spirit because I also thought he might be dead. The neighbor kid made me question that, though. I kind of hope he isn’t dead-I can definitely imagine the comic being a hint at the upcoming plot, though! That’s a fun idea, for sure.
I think that Chris is going to be the Chloe Price character in Life Is Strange 2 and this prequel was designed to explain Chris's future angsty and awesome attitude similarly to how the before the storm and farewell chapters highlight why Chloe is well Chloe. This could explain death symbolism around Chris and the end could be foreshadowing the neighbour kid saving Chris in season 2. If you compare Chloe to Chris, they are very similar characters (both having decreased parent from car accidents, strong childhood imagination & abuses parental figures). Sorry this comment is little long, Love your Videos and your theories :)
A very solid theory. I thought the neighbour's kids were ketchup and mustard, but I didn't draw the conclusion that Chris actually died from the fall. I thought perhaps he had a power like Max. Then again I thought Captain Spirit was going to end with Chris and his dad dying in a car accident when his drunken dad crashed going to get a Christmas tree (so much so I was avoiding putting the car keys in the bowl). Given the mother died due to a hit and run I thought this would bring the story full circle.
Also Oregon enacted the death with dignity act in 97' and obviously if his mom was terminal then the song directly correlates with her and passing that way rather than it being about Chris's possible death.
In her note to Chris, his mom writes that he'll be "her own superhero" and she "can't wait to spend the rest of [her] life watching [Chris] save the world" and signs it with "Love Forever." Maybe his powers are a direct line from his mother. He gets his imagination and his art from her--the most important traits contributing to his imaginary abilities. There's a note about trainhoppers making a ruckus in Oregon. That's probably how the characters will get around in Season 2. Hal, one of Chris' friends, may be one of them.
It's Rachel's backpack. If u look at where the rips are u can see that it's where her patches were, u can see it if u pay attention to the part in before the storm when Chloe has to grab Rachel's belt from her bag .
Chris is definitely NOT dead. LiS 2 main characters Sean and Dan is at the ending of this game. Dan has telekinetic powers of wind manipulation. He used his powers to save Chris' life.
then comcit kinda similar to the final scene hawtdog man crying alone looking like he ran away, finding support at the end in a smal and large mustard like the neighbors for example
Great theory but also when Mrs Reynolds stops she says that there the only people near by so why is the Asian boy there but all around I agree with all your points also life is strange 2 confirmed gay
Yeah, I just thought her comment was kinda dumb. She also said that she hadn't put up her Christmas stuff yet and there's Christmas stuff in the back of that house so that's not her house. I think she just meant she could tell the sound was coming from Chris' house but idk
they're mrs reynolds kids,,, why does nobody actually call her and talk about her sons that are chris' friends omg. but tbh theres lots of stuff to miss
that's weeird! It must be one of the time based things. You call her, and you talk to her about 'getting Stephen to help you with the treehouse' and then when you meet her you talk about Stephen and another boy and when I saw the boys at the end I just immediately thought 'it's Stephen and his brother'. To be exact, I called her a few minutes before the phone rings.
Did anyone else feel like they were deliberately setting up or alluding to something with the math/art dynamic? I don't remember exactly when, but they mentioned it in reference to the dad and mom, with her being into art and him being into math somehow (I guess through sports statistics?) I think it was when Chris was asking about basketball. IIRC the dad told him it was like math (somehow). The other time was somewhere in the old article about the mom and dad from the local paper, and it had a quote with him saying something like "I'm math and she's art". IDK it just seemed weird to associate the dad/basketball with math when there isn't really an obvious connection, so it stood out to me as something they might have gone out of their way to fit in. It could just be a recurring "opposites attract" thing; Max is a gifted photographer and Chloe has an affinity for chemistry. If so, we can probably guess that Chris is the "artist" half. Or it could totally be nothing.
I feel like the neighbor kid would be the one with powers. i mean, why would he be smiling and waving at him right after he saw chris float?? wouldnt he be amazed and/or freaking out??
I wonder if the developers listen to fan theories and factor those into the actual game. Apparently they took the criticisms of the bottle hunting event in the first game.
I think the main character of LiS2 will NOT have powers (hotdawgman / Chris) and the BFF WILL have powers (like mustard, making you fly / neighbor kid who saves the day). Will make an interesting dynamic and will change things if, for example, your partner doesn't want to do something for you or if they aren't with you for some reason.
Not a bad theory! The idea of Chris becoming a spirit to therefore take the role as a “guardian angel” for Neighbour kid sounds pretty appealing! But the thing that caught my eye about the ending was the fact that the older brother felt kinda... awkward, when he came into camera viewing. Almost like he felt... out of place? Like he wasn’t supposed to be there... or maybe he WASN’T there at all. My theory is that the older brother actually ISN’T the older brother, and, as matter of fact, IS the younger neighbour kid himself, just all grown up and reminiscing on the first time he met his best friend and/or soulmate (Still crossing my fingers for canon gay) . Notice how spread apart the younger and older “brothers” are from each other? And how about the fact that Chris doesn’t even bother waving back a second time for the older “brother”, and keeps his eyes fixated on the younger “brother”... Almost as if he’s the ONLY person he sees... I know it’s kind of an out-of-the-box theory, but I’m just trying to make sense of how bizarre the addition of the older “brother” is... he seems like an unnecessary third wheel... Anyways, I’m just hyped for season 2, and even MORE hyped to see you guys play it!! Hope to see more theories in the near future
I think that maybe he didn't die but instead hit his head and is in a coma, but he doesn't even realize this is a coma dream as he suddenly has powers. When he looked up after the fall, he didn't see any damaged ladder up to his treehouse to signify that maybe he was no longer in the real world, but a strange alternate world within a coma dream. My other thought is that the neighbour saw his spirit form standing there even though his real body was on the ground still, but Chris wasn't able to see it. I can't wait to learn the truth.
I don't know what to think about Chris being dead, but i found interesting how the neighbor is all ok with Chris flying XD, and i guess that maybe the other kid is the one with powers.
Let me get this straight, so the yellow mustard helps Chris team up with honey mustard the neighbor kid so they can fight off spicy mustard who is the street that Chris's Mom was killed on? All joking aside this was a fun to follow thoery, even after having played LIS2.
Well, if Chris is Mustard, and the villain is Big Evil Mustard, couldn't that mean his father is the villain? Or maybe it's just symbolic, with the plot being Chris dealing with the abuse he faced at the hands of his father?? Or, like, that the villain is similar to Chris in some way??? But all of this is just if Chris is the protag for LiS 2, which he might not be.
I don't think that Chris is dead by the end of the game because you cannot be dead by just falling off from a tree and besides there's a thick snow everywhere that can help too. The brother's just waved to Chris because maybe they know what Chris life (heard from other neighbors) or they are new and wants to make friends with him starting of by waving hello to him. If he is not the protoganist in the game then I don't think that the neighbor will be and maybe it's another character we see as the new LiS 2 begin... Chris is just part of the main event or maybe Chris is like Chloe too that needs help, he needs a closure too and to realize that he is not to blame for the death of his mother. There's a lot of possibilities here lol but I'm 100% sure that this game is a sure winwin like the first one.
I feel like it was one of the neighbour kids who had super powers. Chris thinks he saved himself but I think it's more likely one of the neighbour kids. Wouldn't they be freaking out more if they just saw a kid hover in mid-air, or even witnessed him fall from his treehouse? They seemed calm, as if they already know about the powers. Just my opinion!
I think Life is Strange 2 will have Chris eventually have the option killing someone - we have this kid have the option of directly and indirectly killing two of his toys in his room ( both a little morbid) - There's a grim reaper scythe in his toy chest, which is kind of out of place for a kid whose interests seem to primarily be on superheros - Mark -effing murderer- Jefferson's book is actually in their house - His mom's killer was never found, that fact specifically being told to the audience - In his fight with mandroid, we see him ending the scene with him promising to make his villain pay for what they did, effectively traumatizing Chris and his dad and possibly having a direct impact on Chris's dad's emotional state because he doesn't have closure for his wife (not excusing his actions, just saying that there's evidence to him trying to get justice for his wife without the police's help
Ok so: Hot Dog man = Chris, Mustard = The neighbour kid with telekinesis power, EVIL MUSTARD = The kid's brother with (maybe) a stronger power/telekinesis. After "Mustard" and "Evil Mustard" are somewhat the same thing/related.
Maybe Chris is" hot dog man" and someone else is "mustard." (That's why they saved him from falling from the treehouse.) So Chris will become a super hero but his power is whoever "mustard" is.
I was whispering because it was night time.
Geek Remix this is a bit too asmr for me haha
also mustard analysis lol
Your nighttime voice is nice :)
Always. Whisper. From. Now. On.
It sounded relaxing
No intelligent comments from me, but mari I'm loving your soft explanatory asmr-y voice in this video!

I wonder if maybe it’s the neighbor kid who has powers, not Chris or his mom... maybe the neighbor kid stopped him from falling?
Fantastic Beck I like that idea too. That could be a cool twist.
A ghost is definitely involved even the final ost sounds like a spirit box with the background static
Savanah Harris just a little add on to your theory that could be a hint, you can find a note Emily wrote Chris that she calls herself "Super Mom."
So are we saying William gave Rachel power who in turn gave Max powers to protect Chloe? So now, Emily is giving x friend of Chris powers to protect Chris?
Could perhaps the spirit be Chris's mother protecting him in the same way Rachel Amber protected Chloe and Max?
I don’t necessarily think that Chris is dead, but I think that he and the neighbor kid are gonna team up for sure. I think those two are gonna be the new Max and Chloe

MrLondonuts wait forreal or is this a joke? Because I get SUPER EXCITED for LGBT representation in games!!!
There is kind of in life is strange 1
and also in Life is Strange: Before the Storm.
It's getting cheesy at this point.
well it's heavily implied that LIS 2 is going to have male leads so instead of it being lesbian (which is what past games depict) it would be literally gay.
Hopefully that is optional because I want to keep playing Life is Strange without my friends thinking I'm gay.
Big mustard could be neighbor kid's older brother and mustard could be little neighbor kid.
Also the older brother seemed to be on good terms with his little brother

I can confirm that LIS 2 is nothing like LIS1. He also isn't dead. But he will play a very tiny role in LIS2. Yes hes not the main charchter
The theory produced by the comic is quite accuracte too. There is a lot of traveling. Two key people. Well done with this theory.
Listen to the final ost on youtube the background sounds in it sound like the static of a spirit box chris is dead rip sweet prince
I hope life is strange 2 will choose to focus on a male gay relationship not just because I want "gay for the sake of gay", but because it's honeslty rare we see a positive male gay relationship in games and Dontnot have already proven that they can handle LGBT relationships with extreme care, grace and maturity. Let's make it the best of both worlds and make it completely optional.
Why, just why?
Also, if they're both mustards and little mustard is terrified - maybe that symbolizes confronting an older family member?
Omg we're talking about Hawt Dawg symbolism. Yep I'm proud of my life lol
Given that Chris's dad is a mean drunk at the end, think he's big mustard?
Does anyone remember conversation between Chris and his toy in the treehouse? It was something about surviving the STORM. The toy said it didn’t do any harm. I know it’s stupid, but what if there is more to it.
Its an Easter egg
Maybe little mustard is Chris, big mustard is his father, and hot dawg man is someone that comes to help Chris deal with his father being an obstacle?
The travelling protag idea makes sense. There's at least two train references in Captain Spirit, and one is about teenagers hopping trains. I thought it was just LiS1/BtS throwback (considering the Kerouac reference) but now I'm not so sure.
If you're right about Chris.... damn, DONTNOD! I mean. "Hey come play our super fun atmospheric demo about imagination & superhero play! Oh btw his mom's dead. Also him."

Omigawd.... Hotdog Man and Mustard is Chris and the neighbor kid
And they will fight bigger Mustard
I ship it already
Why would he be dead if it says “to be continued” and “meet Chris in life is strange 2”
She addressed this in the video. Chris would show up as a spirit.
One with powers: Daniel
One who can run: Sean since he is a track star

I love to watch these theory videos so much. It’s clear Mari puts so much detail into analysing these games and I love to watch her passion in these videos. I’m really looking forewords to LIS2 and I can’t wait to see how it all turns out! 💖
I LIKE THIS Chris doesn’t need to be dead for part of this theory either (though he still could). There’s two lines of thought here:
1) Chris has no powers or is a spirit, but Neighbor Kid has powers and one is levitation (the thing that saved Chris) or can see ghosts.
You were right about one having powers and the other being more grounded (the two brothers).
dude i freakin celebrate when I get an ad on your guys’ channel.... love you guys
thank you so much, Spade. :3
So, basically Beyond: Two Souls, but maybe good this time?
beyond two souls was great >:((
I thought that game was very good. Some really good graphics to boot for its time.
plus i think the creators of it moved on to make detroit, so even if it was a bad game they REALLY improved !!
Damn. I love that game. But u right lol
This didn't show up in my youtube notifications >< Glad I got the notice on patreon this is a great theory!
The music playing in the last scene when chris runs outside and falls from the treehouse sounds kinda staticy like those spirit boxes you use to talk to the dead 👀
I think its called parade rone
I love your theories Mari, they're really fascinating. I hope you're right because that sounds cool.

thank you! this is very interesting!
Thats just some excerpt from some random ass website but it would be interesting if thats true desu
that's amazing! i love that thank you so much.
1:52 LiS2 confirmed gay lmao yes! I just don't want the gay characters killed off again :c
your theory reminded me of "beyond two souls". when you mentioned spiritual powers and the other kid it reminded me (spoilers) of the girl and her dead brother working together to help her.
sry if someone probably already asked this, but did you go back and try calling mrs reynolds house? if you call when the dad is awake, she picks up and talks to you normally, but if you call when the dad is asleep, it's only silence and creepy breathing from the other end.
watching this after knowing everything about lis2 was so interesting. even though a lot of this was wrong considering what we know now, a lot of it still made so much sense and made me understand a lot more of who Chris is and how what happens in the game reflects what he was going through.
But damn you made some good points! Especially with the hawt dog man and the mustard! I really hope chris isn’t dead tho :/ he’s so cute
I like how this theory is totally off yet spot on when it comes to the game's overall theme of cooperation, love and understanding.
Omg your voice is calming. You could make mediation videos!
I don't think Chris will be dead, but your theories sure are starting to sway me!
I hope you're right! It would be so interesting to see death explored through the eyes of a child who enjoys being a hero
I don't think your theory is too out there, I like it and look forward to seeing if it plays out in the way you theorize.
That Hawt Dog man theory sounds ducking awesome
I HOPE CHRIS AND THE NEOGHBOR KID IS GAY PLZ
It was like I was in a spa... Anywho, your theory is very beyond two souls though, is Dontnod going to blatantly borrow from that game?
OH YEEEEEAHHH BRING ON THE THEORY VIDEOOOS
i would assume mustard is David(since he could fly in the end of captain spirit ) and hot dog is the neighbor kid. the big mustard is Chris
then comcit kinda similar to the final scene hawtdog man crying alone looking like he ran away, finding support at the end in a smal and large mustard like the neighbors for example
Great theory but also when Mrs Reynolds stops she says that there the only people near by so why is the Asian boy there but all around I agree with all your points also life is strange 2 confirmed gay
... woah
Wait what? I called her but I just got someone moaning on the phone.. I assumed it was husband who was like wheelchair bound or something.
that's weeird!
Wow great video m8 I loved the game and I was only disappointed by the time I beat the game I want more and great theory and video
You were right about Hawt Dawg Man and Mustard.
I feel like the neighbor kid would be the one with powers. i mean, why would he be smiling and waving at him right after he saw chris float?? wouldnt he be amazed and/or freaking out??
i don’t care what it is as long as it’s gay
I wonder if the developers listen to fan theories and factor those into the actual game. Apparently they took the criticisms of the bottle hunting event in the first game.
Life is Strange 2 is about gay ghost horses confirmed
This is actually pretty smart. I like this idea.
Captain Spirit (Chris) could be a spirit guide to the main characters of LiS2
what's the name of the background music? its so beautiful and calm 💙
It's the farewell episode theme.
thanks 💙 I knew it was familiar
I think the main character of LiS2 will NOT have powers (hotdawgman / Chris) and the BFF WILL have powers (like mustard, making you fly / neighbor kid who saves the day). Will make an interesting dynamic and will change things if, for example, your partner doesn't want to do something for you or if they aren't with you for some reason.
playing the game again, i cant see how chris would have died, i means its a short fall onto snow and all the wood chips are above him
Not a bad theory!
Does it sound like Beyond Two Souls? If Chris is becomes a spirit.
Just my opinion!
yeah chris is totally dead its not like every single person and their mother can see him XD your theory makes total sense 10/10 A+
I think Life is Strange 2 will have Chris eventually have the option killing someone
- we have this kid have the option of directly and indirectly killing two of his toys in his room ( both a little morbid)
- There's a grim reaper scythe in his toy chest, which is kind of out of place for a kid whose interests seem to primarily be on superheros
- Mark -effing murderer- Jefferson's book is actually in their house
- His mom's killer was never found, that fact specifically being told to the audience
- In his fight with mandroid, we see him ending the scene with him promising to make his villain pay for what they did, effectively traumatizing Chris and his dad and possibly having a direct impact on Chris's dad's emotional state because he doesn't have closure for his wife (not excusing his actions, just saying that there's evidence to him trying to get justice for his wife without the police's help
Unlikely for him to be dead, I mean falling a few feet into a ground of snow?? It will just hurts a little
Ok so: Hot Dog man = Chris, Mustard = The neighbour kid with telekinesis power, EVIL MUSTARD = The kid's brother with (maybe) a stronger power/telekinesis. After "Mustard" and "Evil Mustard" are somewhat the same thing/related.
Maybe Chris is" hot dog man" and someone else is "mustard." (That's why they saved him from falling from the treehouse.) So Chris will become a super hero but his power is whoever "mustard" is.
life is strange 2 wont be about max? now im sad, but i think kinda make sense
Honestly when you mentioned horses my mind immediately went to the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse.. I doubt that's relevant though.
Hope you guys or Mari do some Kingdom Hearts playthroughs before KH3. There’s such a drought of games to play till later this year :/
BULLSHIT! Hawtdog-man and Mustard its a eggs about Max and Chloe!
*That little kiddo cant be gay or dead!!!!*
Watching this back after LIS2, everything makes sense. If you make Sean the hot dog, all of her predictions are correct.
But what if Chris’s neighbor got powers?
Wait how do you get the chair keys!
mustard is chris, big mustard is his dad, hot dog is daniel (neighbor kid)
