Hi, Thanks for the video. Curious why there are two '925" stamps on some Tifffany & Co. Item's. One which may read "NEW YORK 925" on the front side and then "Tiffany&Co.AG925" on the rear? I went to a Tiffany Boutique not to long ago and did not see the "Tiffany&Co.AG925" on the physical store versions
My Tiffany store said they won't clean an item if it is a fake. My problem is all the styles I like are retired (otherwise I buy new). It is easier to pick the fakes on the RTT line but I am currently going back & forth comparing pictures on the infinity necklace/bracelet which is harder with only the AG925 marking. I got lucky with a filigree pendant from eBay - was real & looked like new - but eBay can be a mindfield. Facebook I tend to stick to groups where the admin authenticate before it goes up & only where they accept PayPal. The RealReal possibly but it is overseas shipping that kills it. Always best to buy with the store but I have been disappointed with the latest styles.
Thank you for explaining this to us. I just started collecting Tiffany recently and this is very helpful in determining what to look for. I buy my stuff online on EBay and try to be very careful of what I buy.
Thank you! I am happy this was helpful. Definitely need to be careful out there with Tiffany fakes but there are lots of authentic items on eBay too. ❤️❤️
Thanks so much for this video!!! It was super helpful!! I've been trying to buy some retired pieces and your tips will be helping me in the future. I've also been using the Tiffany and Co. Catalogues or booklet s the used to send out. They help to compare an online photo to the catalog and to look for details. Again thanks so much!! Please, post more via. I've missed them. ☺☺☺
Thank you for watching!! I wish I had kept all of the catalogues from the time I was working there! They are such great resources for authenticating. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Tx!! I just found a Tiffany Return To Bracelet in the bottom of a Marc Jacobs Bag I found at vintage store, I 🤔 think it's authentic but it doesn't have 925 number it says M02163?
Great video as always! It’s very hard for people to spot the fakes if they aren’t familiar with Tiffany. Tiffany is always perfect so if something looks off, it’s best to question it and test it.
I have a question I was hoping you could help with. I’ve found some pieces that instead of TIFFANY&Co. say T&Co. on the back of the tag. They pass every other authentication test but I’ve never seen that stamped on the back of a necklace.
Feeling confident, I picked them right away! However, I didn't know WHY I thought the heart was fake until you explained. Now, I want to double check a lot I received from ebay, as I certainly want to apply these lessons. I was obsessed with the catalogs, so am familiar with every piece made, the first replica was easy for me.
Hi there- yes they are all made in USA. Any items made in other locations will be marked with the country. Some items are made in in Italy or Spain and will always be marked if so. I hope that helps!
I just bought the oval return to tiffany choker but it is not stamped on the back. Are all Tiffany necklaces stamped? I bought it at a high end consignment store that insists its authentic.
If we were to come across a fake what would you suggest we do with it? I for sure don’t want to sell it or have it in circulation, it wouldn’t be fair for someone to buy a fake. If I throw it away it will end up in the landfill or again might end up in circulation, so I’d rather it be destroyed in some way. Any thought?
I’ve just bought a Tiffany toggle necklace but I suspect it’s fake for a few reasons. The o in CO is too big, it reads CO not Co. The box is the wrong colour. The care of silver card is a different paper, layout and content and the links are uneven. Can you confirm?
Hi, could you tell me if Tiffany's always stamped their heart charms with "return to Tiffany's" ? Did they ever produce one that is mostly blank but says Tiffany & Co. .925? Thank you
Hi- yes they did make a blank heart charm that only had a small Tiffany 925 stamping on one side. It was blank so that it could be engraved if someone wanted. I hope that helps- thanks for watching!
I’m trying to find a retired piece to match my necklace that I bought for myself on my 30th birthday many years ago. I hate that Tiffany retired the Round tag Return to Tiffany bracelet. Do you help people find authentic preloved items?
Tiffany won't verify ? I have needed my items cleaned before and needed to 'send them in' for service. Tiffany would not accept until I sent them specific pictures. Only then after they verified it was real did they agree to accept for service cleaning.....
Hi! Can I pls ask for your help? Recently I purchased a silver bean on eBay, it is 25mm. And now I wonder, if it is a fake? Did Tiffany produce beans in such size? I cannot find any info on that...
Hi there! They did make the bean in many many different sizes including a 25mm. It is hard because many of the sizes were discontinued and brought back. I believe they ranged in size from 8mm to over 40mm.
Hello! I know this is an older video but I was hoping you would turn over the larger heart so I could see if it was stamped on the back. I have the charm I purchased from Poshmark but there is no stamp on the back. It looks authentic with all the other factors. Can you tell me if it is stamped on the back? The on with the registration number. Thanks!
Hi there. Yes- the Peretti signature and Spain should be stamped on the chain near the clasp. It should also be stamped on the back side of the heart charm itself. The stamping is not on the back of the mini heart charm on the chain style bracelet but I believe that is the only exception. I hope that helps!

my necklace has everything as you mentioned a real authentic tag having but instead of saying "tiffany & co 925" on the back it sayd "T&Co AG925" is it still authentic/real?
Hi there- some Tiffany pieces do use the T&Co. AG925 stamping so it most likely is authentic if everything else checks out! I also have some items with that stamping.
@@LittleBlueJewelryBox oh that’s great to know thank you! My issue is that most of the pieces that I have seen up for resale in that specific style say “Tiffany and co AG925” vs this necklace heart tag in that same style only says t & co AG925”
I work for Tiffany and Co and I can assure you that This isnt accurate at all. Tiffany and co has altered and changed their Stamping throughout the years and many Times even brought back previous stamping and hallmark styles, Thus, pieces that are exactly the same style, will have slight variations in stamping because they were most likely produced during different years, so comparing logos is not a reliable way to determine if the jewelry is authentic or not.
I worked for Tiffany for nearly a decade. This is reliable on modern pieces specifically in the Return to Tiffany collection- which are the most commonly faked. Older pieces- like the original RTT key ring from the 1960s- yes will have different stampings. As will items outside of this collection. This is only in reference to this specific collection. The RTT jewelry line was released in the 1980s- and the RTT stamp has not changed much. Also many of the other points mentioned in terms of finishing- apply to all pieces. The logo will nearly always be centered and scaled correctly on the piece no matter what collection it is from. The silver itself should not be uneven or bubbled. This information is helpful to people who are not familiar with what red flags to look out for.
Hello- I have not seen that style of bracelet sold by Tiffany. That is not to say that they didn't ever sell one- it is possible it is an older style or something I am not familiar with. But- I will say that it is not a widely known style of Tiffany bracelet. I hope that helps!
I am asking myself if some of the fakes have been "stamped" or rather have just been produced by "molding" ? Are the authentic ones have inscriptions stamped ?
Some of the fakes out there could be produced using a mold- I think replicas of many jewelry items are created by taking a mold of the original and then casting new pieces from it. Genuine items will have stampings of the Tiffany hallmark and metal marks.
Thanks so much for this video. I have purchased a heart that has the same registration number as yours...N72464...did they dupilcate numbers or is this fake as well. Also are the backs of the pieces usually stamped as well
