I have the same rifle in .270 win. Got great groups but didn't like the muzzle jump, so I put an Area 419 Match grade brake on it. Problem solved. Give it a go and you will be very happy you did. 👍

Think you hit on one thing. The light gun is jumping. Think you should try holding the second hand on the forearm up front and they would tighten up nice.

After watching it over on video, i ended up going back out today and trying that exact thing. Groups were far better. Might look into getting a brake for this rifle as well to help keep it down a bit.

I think your results could be a lot better if you change some of the gear you’re using from your choice of scope mount why use a MSR type It puts his coat so high above the bore very difficult to get a good cheek weld and then the rifle rest your chest is so high off the ground. You’re balancing yourself on your elbows. The rifle cannot come back during recoil so you can see the front end. Hopping off the front rest just saying.

I see what you're saying. At the time, the scope mount was an extra mount I had laying around, so I just went with it. That makes sense though. I appreciate you pointing that stuff out. I don't shoot a lot of bolt action rifles and wouldn't have really picked up on that had you not mentioned it.
