If youre tech savvy enough, gifting a guitarist some software is also a good idea. Guitar Pro is a killer resource for tabbing stuff out yourself or for songwriting. DAWs are essential to make music nowadays. Amp sims have come a long way since their humble beginnings as well. A pro membership to songsterr or ultimate guitar might also be a decent idea
