Here's a good one: a guitar or bass that can further your playing. Example: a guitar with a trem system or upgrading your 4 string bass to a 5 or 6 string bass
Last christmas my parents bought me a guitar stand and damn, imo one of the best presents. I've increased a lot my practice just by having the guitar next to me really handful.
As to the comment about the Snark tuner working on a Trumpet... I can confirm, they work exceptionally well for brass instruments. I do a lot of marching performances, and during practice we use them so we can quickly check our tuning on the fly.
My wife got me a Thalia strap for my birthday this year. I love that thing! Genuine leather and has a wooden inlay. Very comfortable and I never realized how much difference a good quality strap makes.
If you're considering a guitar strap as a gift for a guitarist I would suggest Levy's Leather's. They make incredible straps and othe leather accessories.
Tyler you give all of your guitar super system subscribers a gift. Please add the acoustic course you said will be released soon. I have been waiting for months. Hope you release it this christmas.
Just purchased the monthly subscription of Guitar Super System this morning. Dude THANK YOU!!!! I’ve been playing guitar for the better part of 26 years and the GSS has reawakened my passion and love of playing and writing my own little jams. Super pumped to dive into more of the music theory and everything else that is in it. For anyone on the fence thinking of purchasing don’t wait just do it you won’t be disappointed. 🤘🏻🙏🏻🤘🏻🙏🏻🤘🏻
The Spark is great if you really need something small enough to fit on a shelf. But if you don’t have to have something that small, for a similar price, the Boss Katana 50 or the Fender Mustang GTX 50 both have way better speaker quality and just as many pedal and amp tones.
i’ve got a katana mini at my house, and where i take lessons/rehearse has the 100s. i love their setup and how easy it is to understand. definitely my favorite
I think Tyler has to be one of the few channels I've found when they were still rather small, but watched them grow and saw them get better, and y'know. I've learned more about music and artists watching this channels than I've actually learned ACTUAL HISTORY in school! Take that however you want, but I think that's quite awesome!
Thanks for making these yearly vids on gifts for guitar players tyler! Every time I watch these I realize that there's at least something I want for my guitarsenal that I didn't even know I wanted 🤣
Les Paul is in my opinion the best guitar style/shape and it always annoyed me he doesn't have any Les Pauls he got single cut guitars but these aren't Les Pauls, the reason he doesn't have a Les Paul is probably because he's SUCH a PRS guy, In guitars I'm a Gibson guy, in amps I'm a marshall guy and in pedals I'm a MXR guy, he's a PRS guy for guitars and amps, not sure bout pedals.
After using the Peterson Stroboclip HD I can never go back to a non strobe tuner... The accuracy is out of this world great!! They are pricey but worth every penny!
Tyler - something to consider for the future: room acoustics, including wall treatments such as sound diffusers. There are some good, decorative gift ideas in that category.
My birthday is on Christmas and The funky vibe pedal would be the most exciting gift. Also a huge Jimi Hendrix fan, read a ton of books on him and love his music.
Is it holding up well? I desperately need a new amp BUT my local guitar shop has a beautiful prs that you usually don’t see around here. I don’t have the money for the guitar and an expensive amp so if the spark really is that good i’ll have to buy it.
I gotta say, I own the G4 and I love it, since I play a lot of heavy music, but hearing the G3, I wouldn't mind putting it in my chain as my rhythm. Really like the video!
Been watching your videos for a long time, and I’m excited to have just gifted myself a year of guitar super system! Can’t wait to see what you’ve got in store for me
If you like the Funky Vibe pedal- Boss makes a modeling pedal called the PW-10- it's primarily a wah modeler- it models a cry baby, a Vox, a Morely, and it has Voice box and Uni-Vibe. It also has several over drives and distortions built in- M2 Metal Zone, EHX Big Muff Fuzz, Boss OD 1 overdrive, Marshal Guv'nor, Boss OD 1 distortion, Boss OD 2 distortion, Boss BD2 Blues Driver, and a clean boost. And Boss threw in some really odd distortion effect they called "Advanced dist." that sounds sort of like a weird phaser of some kind- really odd sounding. And it has a bass channel for use on bass guitars as well. It has a built-in noise gate you set on the overdrive or distortion you select as well. It's an amazing pedal that I'm really surprised doesn't get more press. I bought it like 10 years ago though so- maybe that's why. But if you want tom do the Hendrix thing- here you go- you've got the wah he used, the UNi-Vibe effect he used, the fuzz he used, and the overdrives that sound just like him- all in one pedal.
