- A follow up review of the 2020 Cube stereo hybrid 160 Ebike, including the new 2020 Bosch 85nm motor update. In this video we cover what its like to own longer term, how reliable the bike is, the good points the bad points, and obviously we take the bike down some good old DH stuff to see how it holds up!
Nice vid fella. As a 56 year old myself, my 140 HPC SL has transformed my leisure time. I live in a mountainous village on the West Coast of Scotland and until I got my Cube, I could only dream of the rides around here. Now I can’t wait to get out on the bike. No one else here but the deer and the midges - I can’t believe how many people you saw out on your ride!
I visited Scotland as a young lad, beautiful place, great for riding i can imagine, yes lots of people are always out in my local spots mtb is massively popular in Cornwall!
Great video, just got the 2021 model on order finally found one in stock , can't wait to get it 😀
Great review, I currently have a 2018 Levo and fancy a new bike , I've narrowed it down to Gen 2 carbon levo with 700wh battery or the 2021 Stereo SL with the 625wh. The cube seems much better value.
The brose motor is so smooth and quiet, but the Bosch is certainly in the same ball park regarding torque only let down by a bit more noise. I can put up with that for a £2000 saving and the new Rockshox Reb fork on 2021 SL. Once again great review 👍🏾
Nice I have the 140 and loving it was going to get the 160 but was out of stock but very happy with the 140 I have done 280 miles in about 12 weeks while working nights 60 hours a week and family to run well worth it if you ask me keep the good vids coming 😊💪
8 weeks not 12
Climbing with no effort, damn you must be Superman mate...lol Maybe my local climbs are steeper, don't know.
I stick my jam2 6.8 Bosch gen4 in emtb on most climbs sometimes even turbo if my heartrate is getting too high.
Unbelievable fun though hey, glad I went Bosch. Only issue I've had is a loose lockring on the chain wheel.
Nice vid. Have you had any chance to look at the Polygon Mt Bromo? I’d interested to see a comparison on these 2.
It was great fun ridding with you. I just purchased this bike. Did I understand that you installed a new motor? If so, what happen to the other motor? Thank you.
No new motor, just the mapping update from bosch
great video mate it’s on my list
Nice review... I'm currently searching for a new bycicle...compared all possible brands but it seems only Cube can offer the best package/price.. all the others at least 1k€ more same spec... i ordered the 2022 model but it will arrive in 3 month 🥲
Nice mate ive been out on my AT everyday since i got it absolute weopon m8 checked out BPK defo worth going . Just the runs a little compact and short but good fun great review mate may see you around the trauls sometime m8
Glad your enjoying it, see you around bro!
Great video 👍
great video. wheres little red?
Great vid 👍 some good looking trails there as you say in the vid about ebikes they are your own personal uplift I'm 53 I'm currently riding a 2019 cube stereo 150 c68 action team Non ebike i work 12hr shifts 😭 aswell I've had a go of a few ebikes and it will definitely be my next bike 😁👍 ps join our cube owners page on fb 👍 cheers tony
To make everyone aware, the small plastic cover around the motor is very weak. It will soon smash off, costs £39 and Cube don't have it in stock and don't intend to have it in stock any time soon. It's clear Cube are not supporting after sales. You have been warned.
Thanks great review,🤙
Thankyou!
Only had problems with that bike, got exactly the same model, brake discs are soft af --> brake pads hitting the disc while cornering and even while riding straight, headset is making bad sounds even after tuning it (carbon spacer, enough fat, new better fitting bearings), motor isn't attached properly to the frame anymore and is creaking while pedaling beacause of that, a tooth from the cassett bent to the side and broke off after a while, bosch motor rattels inside when riding very rough stuff and there is no way to fix it (google bosch rattle) and I own that thing for 3 months now....
Suspension and geometry is nice though
Motor Creaking is easy fixable, you just need to thight 8 screws behind the motor cover
Bike Size 20"?
Greetings from Germany
22 "
@@thebeardedsendermtb784 How tall are you / what is your inseam length? My local shops only have the 20", but it felt a bit small for me (6'2"). They won't have a 22" to try till December...
sounds like you are not easing of the power on gear changes, if you are not you will kill a 12 speed chain pdq
Doesn't matter, money is no object.
@@thebeardedsendermtb784 but the walk back from halfway through a 25 miler isn't much fun haha
@@kevinargust3694 is what it is bro, i ride all my bikes really hard, have done for years, wouldn't be the first time I've walked back to the van with a smashed up bike 😜
@@thebeardedsendermtb784 Legend sir
What height are you and frame size (I'm about 6ft)? Thinking about getting a cube but not sure if i should get a 27.5 or 29 wheelset.
I have an XL and I'm 6ft1
I'm 6 ft 1 and I have the LG. Wish I had the xl
I`m 193cm, tried the 160 L but that was to short, than got the 160 XL. It`s nearly perfect. We have a 140 to and the XL is to big for me...
Also bei dieser Preisklasse würde ich ein bisschen vorsichtiger fahren. Material schonend
🙌🙌🙌🙌👍🤣👊👊👊🇨🇭
