    i dont think it is happening cause devon just stepped out of a match which was nearly a month and a half away . aint no way he is gonna accept a match which is just 2 weeks away

      @@ThinkStoicPersona it’s different, Devon is totally off, has lost a lot of weights and needs a break. Ermes in that period was active and he was training and eating seriously. Devon is not mentally ready for competing against Dadikian in more than a month, how can he be ready to face Ermes in two weeks?

    I've talked a lot of shit to Devon in the past, but he deserves all the rest he wants after pulling Levan. Man was on non-stop 2 years straight-journey of peaking for rematch with Levan. Not to mention he is pushing 50.

    There's absolutely no reason for Devon to do it. The risk reward is horrible. He just backed out of a much lower stakes match with dadikyan further in the future. No way he should pull ermes rn. He's the opposite of peaking rn in his training. This will only look bad or get him injured

    I don’t think Devon will take the match.. he already canceled the Dadykian match.. I think Devon wants to take some time to rest and maybe restructure his training a bit.

    Without context, yes Devon should step in. With context, Ermes was in preparation, healthy and serious. Devon just pulled by far the biggest match of his 30 year old career after 20 months of goind hard. He lost already a significant amount of weight, got off juice and is 49 years old.
    Its not the same situation

    Didn’t Devon say he has to take a moment to rest physically and mentally after the levan match,he might not even be training for arm wrestling while he rests so maybe just let Ermes prep for 4 more months then face levan again?

    It'd make sense if a few days ago, Devon didn't announce he's taking a break from competing. I don't see this happening at all. He probably isn't even training currently, so he's not ready for a match. Ermes was at least peaked in their last match since it was still the same date.

    No chance this will happen. I dont see it as Devon now probably is on baseline TRT and in no state of mind, of physical strength, to face an Ermes that now has trained specifically for Devon's winning factor from their last match. Devon said this "I will jump in" when he was aiming for Levan, now he's freshly retired from super heavy weight pulling.

    He canceled Dadikyan match, how could he pull Ermes in june ? That would be disrespectful to David, moreover he is not prepared right now to face Ermes now that he improved his wrist.

    Well honestly I think Devon would stand a strong chance, it’s been less than a month, and with that recovery time and just light recovery work outs Devon’s arm could be pretty good right now. I doubt he has lost must power from the Levan training. Could be interesting

      It's not exactly the same tho ermes said before Jerry that if he felt good he'd do it and afterwards he was like "ok im good lets go" as opposed to not actively training for a match and getting called up out of nowhere. He also had if i remember closer to a month rather than two weeks in between matches

    With larratt going bk down in weight he's got to have a fight really to officially sort of pass the torch and it should really be ermes or genadi imo,
    But ermes might take a bit of flack from ppl questioning whether it's fair bc he'd just walked through jerry with barely a scratch and we know hes a natural super heavy who is always in top shape which made it a great replacement but we can't say the same for larratt post levan.

    I think for Devon, he hasn’t truly told us what’s wrong with him. He needs a break. His body needs to recharge. He’s lost a lot of muscle and who knows what’s going on and he hast to get it to come back again if he wants to compete in any level.

    I don't think the two situations are comparable at all. If Devon does it, it would solely be because he feels like he owes Ermes. More than anything it's obvious Devon's heart isn't in competing at that level right now, so not only is it unfair to Devon you're basically asking for a half-assed Devon to show up and I'm not sure Ermes would want that either.

    It’s a short notice for both guys. Ermes has been training for Denis. Which is very very different than training for Devon. I think Devon will win again. But if ermes has even 2 months to train for Devon then Devon stands no chance

    I dont think its going to happend. Devon right now is off. Ermes was in shape the time they face each other.

      He trained for Jerry as you said, who uses a flop press. Ermes admitted to not have trained his wrist for months... He just stepped in with no prep and gave Devon a free title shot. Devon owns him a rematch

      I understand he was not prepared but don't confuse things, he did not train too much wrist because he was focus on bicep strength since he thought it was the key to be #1.
      Since Devon he changed but even if he had time to prepare for a match with Devon, he learn his lesson which is fine.
      And I agree Devon owns him the rematch and if ermes ask for it, Devon has to go and show up
