I agree haha just get a laptop and if you want to hook up other stuff then id say thats silly just sell the other stiff as yoi can do everything with a laptop 👍
I have a similar monitor from uperfect 👍 works great 👌 just has some screen-blead. But not a deal breaker. I just got on the Plug-and play adapter from Viture. Saw it recommended on reddit. Works really well and that way you don't need to carry a hdmi cable and another power brick around. Passes-through enough juice for turbo mode and that way you can even use the touch screen on the uperfect (probably no touch on that screen though 😅) . Can definitely recommend.
Would be interesting to see how well RSR looks with this setup. 800p upscaled to 1200p and 1080p upscaled to 1200p. I bought the Arzopa 15.6 1080p 144hz just a couple weeks ago and it works great for me.
I have a stack of these monitors. I have an oled one and a Lapdock which looks like a laptop but requires an external device to be plugged in. I use that to plug in the ally and web browsing as well as download emulation stuff.
I have a drawing pen display that works even over my samsung phone using dex. It can connecte over a single type-c or uses hdmi adapter. It works on windows and Mac too. You'll get a little more usability if you care to do 3d sculpting and drawing.
Some game doesn’t do well with 1080p setting like the Quarry and spider man and RDR2 , u need to sacrifice graphic fidelity to have better frame rate hence to get best graphic quality it’s suggested to play with handheld itself but of course it’s up to personal preferences .
16:10 is great for PC use but not so much for consoles as they don't support that resolution. It's either going to do 1080p with the aspect ratio being off and hopefully your monitor will be able to fix it. I personally got a 17" 16:9 1440p 144Hz portable monitor and its pretty awesome! It gives me that resolution with 120Hz on all of my consoles. I have a retro up converter to 1440p for all my older systems that runs at 720p or 1080i/p. Also this monitor in this video is 2560x1600 QHD not 1440p as you had mentioned.
Them magnetic stands are just asking to be knock off. I got a cheaper portable monitor because it's something I'm not going to use very often. I have used mine to connect to the Switch and Deck running off of an exterior battery pack which can run both the handheld and monitor. A little less portable than a gaming laptop but useful for the Switch. I'm still amazed how thin tablets and monitors are when 20 years ago even my PC monitor was a CRT.
Hmm you made your Ally into a laptop 🤣 for the price you can get a laptop that is over 3x the graphical power 👍 Was looking at these monitors for a 2nd monitor for my Laptop. They're pretty cool but is just another gadget that is pointless.
I like the moniter because I can use it with just about anything haha but yeah I'm looking into getting a nice laptop and selling my pc due to portability!
I have that same monitor I use with my Ally, it’s great! Taking it on a business trip next week.
I’m sure you know this already, but the mini hdmi only supports 120hz refresh rate- recommend to just change display setting to 120 hz -
Might aswell just get a z13 instead
You could hook up other devices with a portable monitor vs a labtop display.

Yeah I always forget when it's that 16:10 it's different you are right haha
What portable monitor are you using? Seems like ps5 only output high frame rate / vrr if they support hdmi 2.1 input
Nice video man! Could we see some Star Wars gameplay soon? And are you also playing off of Ally?
Yes I am! I will install survivors to see how it plays on the Ally!

Does this setup works 30w turbo mode ?
Will the ROG Ally push 2560 x 1440p to the display?
👍👍👍
Honestly for me I would just rather set the ally screen closer to my face
We're all not young. 😊
Lowkey traded mine in for a PS5 😂
Ps5 exclusives low key worth it hahah
16" with 2.5K resolution and only 120hz refresh rate I'm sorry but its a no for me too small!
The portability is a big plus for me in that regard!
