Hi dear friend, nice to hear this video and technique may help you or someone of us who have had this issued, Thank you so much again, Have a nice wonderful weekend, Cheers!!! lol
thanks for sharing, great skills, but one tip, esp. for the 'beginner' repairman, these are 'micro-mechanics' which need these special screwdrivers (as seen in this video), and be LIGHT on them, The screws are 2-5 mm in size!!, it takes nothing to break them; also if on a table, PUT on a cloth to catch any 'wayward' parts, as they are so small they are easily lost in the garden, or household carpet, etc. Also a tray, a spare one from the kitchen (washed afterwards!!!), or 'tupperware' container, to hold these parts together, so they don't get lost is another good tip.
Oh dear Andy, Many thanks for adding this tip to users who need to know while they fixing it by themself, You adding great tip most appreciate sir, have a wonderful weekend as always, Cheers!!
@@hasselbladexpert that's alright, glad to help, but one other thing, this issue can also be, albeit temporary, due to NOT having a spool of film on the takeup side, aka the mechanics need this to operate the film counter, on some makes of MF cameras ( the film is 'senced' by a roller, and this operates the counter, like an odometer in your car)- ONE SPECIFIC example that NEEDS attending to is the Rolleiflex Tlr's as there is a roller which must go ABOVE the film, for this roller to contact the film, and operate the counter; this I think works with the first frame stop too 🙂; also an ALPHA or other old rangefinder camera, can't bring it's name to mind at the moment; but it's defining feature is the winder is a ROD, which pulls out of the mag, then back in again, if NOT extracted all the way, film advances, but the counter DOESN'T, it operates on this last 1/4 of the 'throw' of this rod!!

One of my A12 backs has strange problem. It starts off OK, but about frame 7 instead of showing white ( in the little window ) when shutter is cocked and film advanced, it shows red. Very strange. Have to open it and see what the hell is going on. Thanks for the informative video.
Hi dear!! Yes, it's seem your film back so special lol, From my experienced there's some wire or spring that controlled this metal pad sign [in red and white color when opened] just oiledม I think it's work, Thank you so much for sharing your unique issue that hard to find, enjoy your DIY, cheers!!

Hi Daniel, Thank you for your nice question that's good for users that maybe need to know, By this topic, it's can be answer in 2 directions, 1st, it's not a big matter, if the backs doesn't stop at 1, because the film backs still working as it should if there are not others issues, however users must be understand that stopping at 1st frame means to get 12, 16, or 24 exposures from each type of the film backs not lesser than these [ If the films past no.1, you will get 10-11, 14-15 or 22-23 exposures depends on how far from the starting 1st frame marks] 2nd, if users don't want to fix it but still needed to getting correct exposure 12 16 or 24 frames, you have to marked or noticed for use them by yourself, from my experienced, when I'm ready to started the film winding crank, I'm counting the rounds in my mind, it's takes 10 rounds or laps approximately, when it's winded next to round 9, I have to slower the speed down and carefully notice, the no.1 will be slowly appears that can be seen from the film's counter window, Okay, now it's work, so you can be use as a normally film backs and get correcting exposures frame, or you still can be fix it by yourself from this video to safe your budgets or you can send it to the technician repair or fix them, Thank you again for your question, Have a wonderful time with your photography and your family dearest, John Kasawa
