I didn’t know she had a privileged upbringing until I recently read about her after falling into a Nirvana rabbit hole. Looking back at this story I can now see how Courtney was the horrible influence in Kurt’s life. I truly believe he wanted to get away from her and fame but she needed him for her own success. She’s a narcissistic drug addict who should never have gotten his money or been able to raise their daughter.
He was a terrible husband and awful influence in her life.
If he wanted to "get away from her", he had every chance. He literally spelled out that he loved her until the day he died.
Cobain was the most unapologetic junkie of them all who actively mocked Love' for attempting to quit heroin in 1993 - calling her "detox queen" sarcastically and reacting violently to anyone who even questioned his drug use.
She had to raise their daughter alone because he checked out on his child and she was completely entitled to his money - she was his wife. She paid off his Kerslake lawsuit without any guarantee she'd even get her money back but his obsessed fans don't seem to acknowledge that.
Anyone who's ever had a problem with drugs knows that yes you make many,many stupid decisions but drugs take over your life without you realizing it until it's too late. And two junkies trying to navigate life together? Forget about it. A relationship where drugs are what your life revolves around... getting them, using them, coming down from them..rinse, repeat over and over and over, will never be a healthy relationship at the fault of neither person. The fault lies with the drugs. The frustrating thing is that deep down you know that but sometimes you're as addicted to the other person as you are to the drugs and it's hard getting away from both. Getting clean isn't the hard part, staying clean is. I think they loved each other as much as an addict is capable of loving someone . They just weren't good for each other. They never could be because the odds uf staying clean is slim, you try over and over and hopefully you'll be in the small percentage that gets it. It takes work. But the odds of both of them getting to that point at the same time? You'd have a better chance of winning a billion dollar lottery I think. I don't think it was the fault of either one of them. The stars just weren't aligned..if he'd lived and they'd met a lot later and if each had gotten clean before then..who knows but they'd at least had a chance at a healthy relationship. But IF frogs had wings they wouldn't bump their ass when they jumped.

He caught on to her using him for clout & to help her career because her band ‘Hole’ was absolute trash. Krist absolutely hated her , she took advantage of Kurt at his peak fame & addiction. She knew what she was doing. She stole her daughters money too, she’s trashy

I’ve talked to her on multiple occasions, and back in 2009/10-AFTER she released America’s Sweetheart, but BEFORE the following solo album she did, she actually asked me to come to NYC to get my measurements, bc she messaged me and said she really liked my online photos at the time-would I want to model for the next album cover. (They ended up using this HORRIBLE painting of a woman, & the background is green. Idk I didn’t listen to it.) -and that’s kind of my point. She was obviously always a big dreamer, super smart, but CANT pull it together. Kurt would be HORRIFIED at what she’s done just to her FACE. There was a lot more chaos AFTER Kurt died than I think we realize…grief + substances + ALIENATING THE WHOLE ROCK WORLD when Kurt WAS alive. She backed herself into the corner, and when she needed help she only ever got it when shit REALLY hit the fan. She would go on Kittyradio-the name of Hole’s official forum back in the day and type these messages with all misspellings, and ugh just rambling. She was a MESS for YEARS. They only managed to pull off Celebrity Skin bc she actually was clean, looked GOOD, and was sober. I would love to spend a full day with her in person, because as a Psychologist, I would REALLY like to un-pack her brain. Sheesh. She has EXCELLENT handlers now, bc we don’t hear SHIT about her, and trust me she didn’t get quiet with “old age”.

A musician on her own right when Kurt died, she got all his notebook songs he written he wrote hundreds of songs corny love use his songs for herself she didn’t wrote nothing she just stole them if Kurt Cobain life he would be still alive Kurt Cobain wrote most of Courtney love song in her career Currently love needed Kurt Cobain for her career.
Love covered one song that Cobain wrote (Old Age) and gave him full credit for it.
Love did POTI before she met Cobain, most of LTT was written before she and Cobain were together or in collaboration with others and he was dead when she worked on Celebrity Skin.

@skratchrapture I did see 1 of the channels I follow go to the house on Lake Forest(?), & there were 2 or 3 very young ladies, about 13 - 14, that were defending her even when given facts. So they are out there. Which is how she still gets away with the crap she does. I honestly don't understand how or why she's not in jail. Other than the $ she has in her own right, & the powerful people here in California's Bay Area, where she's from,that her family is tight with. You know, there's been lots of talk about her dad, because that is a flashy story. But it would be interesting to see &/or interview mom's side of the family!?

POTI and LTT are considered two of the best alternative albums of the time - if anything, her association with him fucked her career.
Celebrity Skin didn't exactly do badly either, despite being far more of a pop album.
Somebodies reality is completely distorted because Soundscan stats state Holes album sales as follows and mind you this is NOW so at the time they were WAY less than this, given the debate was who needed who and benefited from their association with the other.
