I have been very interested in Homeschool Planet, but really like the weekly writing things down. Although I print out checklists every week so HP would do that for me!
I started a new habit! I am walking on my treadmill for 30 minutes right after coffee and Bible time. So today I popped your video on for some entertainment. Now on to the rest of the day! Hope you are having a wonderful day!😊

Ahh Jerilyn I love that!! Cheering you on! Thanks so much for watching - we are on the road to Branson for Teach Them Diligently!

@@blessedhomeschool Oh fun!!! I wish I had one of those closer! Oregon is isolated from large homeschool conferences. We have a small one an hour away, but it’s not super big. Better than nothing though!

I set mine up differently, but I love homeschool planet! I print weekly checklist for each kid so they know what they need to do.

Yes!! I'd love to hear what you do differently, there's always new tricks/tips I can learn!

@@blessedhomeschool I wish I could share pictures! But one thing I do is put each resource in a separate class and each kid has their own classes, even if they’re doing the same thing. That way if one kid works at a different pace I can reschedule super easily. For instance, if I put all language arts topics for a child in one class but they don’t do all those assignments one day the rescheduling gets tricky. The only stuff I group together is the stuff I specifically do, such as a group read aloud. Then I print out individual lists for each kid that includes just their stuff on it, one week per piece of paper per kid. It’s like doing the Sarah Makenzie checkbook notebook system but waaaaaay easier. I have the older kids check their stuff off online too but they like the printout.

@@L--C great ideas!! I love how Homeschool Planet is sooo flexible and customizable!! 🙌🏻
I will share that my kids don’t always work at the same pace, but I can still reschedule them! Even if the lessons are “shared”, the reschedule helper will let me reschedule them for individual kids, which is nice.
For some (like CTC Math), they ALL have different “lessons”, so even though it’s the same “class”, I put the lessons in their individual lists (not shared).
I think there is something new I learn frequently with this program 🤣. I love it! Thanks again for sharing how you do this!

The only plnaner looka great. Question: does the subscription include lesson plans or I'd have to pay for each lesson plan in addition to the $70/yr subscription?
Thanks for the video, it was great!

Thank you! The lesson plans cost extra…usually around $5-7 or so I believe. I’ve purchased some, and some I’ve ended up typing in myself…both work, obviously, but sometimes I will spend that extra few $ to save time!
      Thanks for watching!

I used to wondered what it's like to have a kid right next to my birthday. Then my daughter was born at 6:10 AM the day before my brother's birthday. I had been in labor for 22 hours and he wanted me to wait another day so he can share a birthday with his niece. *scowl*

      😂 the nerve lol!
I loved my birthday growing up, and I still do, but I don’t like a lot of birthday attention 😂. So I love that I can divert the focus/attention to my little guy and HIS birthday celebration instead.

@@blessedhomeschool is there a way that you can add notes/ to do list per week? i know there's a general to do list.

    • @blessedhomeschool
      @blessedhomeschool  Месяц назад +1

@kitdelosreyes do you mean like make a list of tasks for each week (like a chore chart or something?). Here is their FAQ for to-do lists; homeschoolplanet.com/knowledge-base/to-do-list-widget/. I know you can add as many as you want, but I think you’d have to update it weekly as needed.

I think Homeschool Planet is a great invention, but I prefer notebook and pencil so I can bring it with me. Perhaps if I had a good tablet that might change.
