Thanks for bringing these memories back into our lives. I know that seeing the photos and hearing what everyone is up to makes the miles between us less extreme. From the beautiful warm OC to all of you in the great, sometimes white, north keep those Montreal Memories alive.
Barry Zbar does an amazing job of promoting our beautiful city of Montreal on his Montreal Memories site on Facebook! He captures all the memories and pictures of days gone by in Montreal. I LOVE IT! He is helpful to everyone and is always highly supportive of all groups and events. I feel it is perhaps the best site on Facebook!!!!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK, BARRY! (KATHY!)
Barry, you have accomplished a beautiful thing! Created a haven for many people, from all over the world. I believe "Montreal Memories" is the BEST site on facebook! Don't pay attention to one ignorant person who doesn't know you and all that you have tirelessly poured into this wonderful site! You will always be heralded as the creator of Montreal Memories, that so brilliantly mirrors the great city of Montreal!!!! :)
Hi Everyone....Barry Zbar here....I can't tell you how amazed I am with all your kind support and enthusiasm! Montreal Memories has always been a labour of love for me and I encourage you to join and/or add your own wonderful friends! We have almost 4,300 Members Now!! Once again I thank Aaron Rand and CJAD for taking an interest in our Group! I can't thank you enough!! Hope to see everyone on Montreal Memories!!....
Ah, Belmont Park! When we were kids and my Dad drove over a bump, the kind that gave you butterflies in your stomach, he'd say "Better'n Belmont Park, eh guys?" Naturally I carried on the tradition with my own son, even though he had no idea what Belmont Park was and we were in Ontario. Last year I had to go to the hospital via ambulance (in Montreal) and the driver said "Don't worry, we'll give you a ride that's more fun than Belmont Park!!"
It looks as though the National Hockey League s expanding. It appears as though Toronto will finally be getting a hockey team. My sources tell me they will be called the "Rakes", because Rakes sweep Leafs. :-)
Please direct your outdated vitriol and feelings of resentment to a good anger management group. How sad that you attempted to deflate someone who is as authentically sincere about his love for Montreal and also generous spirited. Take a look around - this world really does not need any more acrimony! Barry, what a beautiful clip and a true testament to your spirit! Congratulations!
Barry envisioned such a beautiful site when he created "Montreal Memories". It is his labour of love. He unites and celebrates all languages, all religions, and all cultural identities. It is a wonderful place where people can share their love of everything "Montreal" with laughter and smiles.Montreal Memories has reunited people in a joyous fashion, and continues to bring happiness to everyone.Everyone feels welcomed by Barry in his warm and charming manner. It's a a truly magnificent site! :) :
Settled in Montreal in '48 and left to go to college in the States in '62. So many wonderful memories.... and a great interest in staying connected.
