Couldn't agree more, yes it is the best country in the world. We will be doing the Simpson again this coming August and should be able to capture some video footage that should make for better viewing than what this one did.
Thoroughly enjoyable ,well narrated and not fast ,love it.I had plans of doing something similar but my brain overcooked itself thinking I was 20 instead of 70 and while I have been recuperating I have watched a lot of your videos and enjoyed the lot especially the detour of trucks from Adelaide to Darwin during the floods.Keep up the good work Mick and Sally it keeps me entertained.Safe travels.
Glad you like them Leon. We have another Simpson Desert crossing planned for the later part of next year. This one will hopefully be filmed a little better than the current one that you watched.
@@justcruisinwithmicksally837 Don't know how you will make it better but I will be waiting .I live on the coast at Maryborough QLD and I hope to be travelling out to Charleville soon.If you have never been to the Boulia camel races Mick try and get there usually held in July, free camp for a week and enjoy the fun.
@@leonwieland8046 as I drive to Darwin each week and see the sing to turn off to Boulia, I think to myself "I will get there one day" so hopefully it can coincide with the camel cup.
Fantastic mate - after 80.000 km travelling all over your fantastic country , meeting nothing but friendly and helpfull Aussies on my way - I hope one day to be back. Thank you for posting - it brought back heaps of good memories. Best of travelling, Helge Norway
Hi Mike what a great adventure you all must of had. It looked so unreal the country side. I am new to adventure and 4wd you mentioned about tyre change in loosing pressure and then gaining it back. Should a novice like me have a course in 4wd . Also the tracks you taken are they suitable for Semi off caravans. Great video like to see more of your adventures
Doing a course is a good idea if you are in a position to do so. All of the roads with the exception of the Desert are suitable for semi off road caravans most of the time, check road conditions at the time that you intent to travel. We are now in our 4th day of completing this trip again.
This bring back memories of trips we did with 5 other and again with my husband German relatives who have never been in any trip like this and go with very fond memories.
Wow mate, I'm such a city dwellers just going Inland 100km I start to feel out of place. I could never imagine myself in the true outback of Australia and do a trip thru the desert. The isolating feeling just makes me nervous. Watching this makes me realise how lucky I am to be an Australian and to call this country home. I've never said this before but this was So beautiful. This video almost brought me to tears of proud ness. I now want to have a trip outback and experience Australia's true beauty. Thanks mate, youre an absolute legend for creating this video 💪👊👍
Thank you for your comments, once you have done it no matter where you go, you will want to do more. We have another Simpson trip in the planning stages for August 2023. The trip can't come soon enough. We were not filming the trip here for a RUclips video at the time so hoping for a much better video of the 2023 trip.
The trip was done before we ever thought of recording it for RUclips, there is another trip planned for next year which should make for a better video. Glad you enjoyed this one.
Excellent, how a video should be be made, gentle music, pleasant voice-over and just enough info to whet your appetite to do the journey. We had done it ourselves three times between 1989--1992 in a 2.4 diesel forerunner. Can see quite a few things have been modernized around that area. Thanks for the memories
Another wonderful and enjoyable video thanks. One thing I REALLY enjoy about your productions, is the fact that you actually see something of where you are instead of the narrators face all the time. People these days seem to have a fascination of showing themselves a lot, which detracts from the video. Your upbringing at Siam has also done you well in the speech department, you're always clearly spoken and easy to understand, which is very handy for an older person. Thanks again, much appreciated, take care, Cheers.
You have written such kind words for which I thank you. Mum & Dad had a lot to do with the good upbringing of us kids, we have a lot to thank them for. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Even if this was not technically a video, your narration and gentle music, made it a pleasure to watch. Thanks for sharing. I am currently preparing my rig for my first Simpson Desert crossing in July/Aug. I'm from NSW but I too will be doing it from West to East as I was recommended this is the easier way - ideal for a first timer.
Really enjoyed this. Just a relaxed look at some of the most beautiful country we have. Well narrated. I look forward to doing this trip next year hopefully. Thanks.
Sherry's husband Rangoon here. Nice effort on trip & images. Surprised at lack of cattle, camels, sheep, wild horses, waterbuffalo.. I'm an old agriculture guy so look at farming and land. Back here in Ohio the land is farmed, buildings/houses on it, wetlands, rivers, parks. S.E. Ohio is our roughest but no comparison to the Outback for sure. Have watched Australian vids on truckers, ranching, excessive animals like rabbits, camels. As usual seen Quigley & Dundee alot. Don't tell my wife that I have seen a few Aussie Beach ladies. Oh hell tell her, at 73 I only attract blue hairs and women who need their trash hauled out....I'll sign on and watch some more. House bound with Covid-19. Looks like you & New Zealand have beat it. If I had one of your Chamberlin tractors I'd be a hit. Once worked for Massey-Ferguson. Enough from me.
We didn't see very much wildlife on this trip at all. Glad you enjoyed the video. Chamberlain tractors, now there is a blast from the past as I used to work on them for a living here in Australia.
When you say camper interior, do you me caravan? We used a tent on our Simpson trip as you would have seen. Eventually we will be doing on on our caravan.
We will try to produce one but it will not be until mid April as I want to do it while in a bush setting as it will also include the outside as well. Subscribe and you will get notified when it has been uploaded.
Hi Mick really enjoyed your video of your trip. We are doing something similar in a few week but going east to west. Csn you tell me how to get permission for the Bore Track I thought it was closed to the public. I would love to go that way if possible. Hope you can help.Cheers Trev
Sorry to say but the Pajero and it's owner are no longer with 😪us so I can't help you. Enjoy your trip, we are going that way again in August of this year.👍
Really enjoyed the vid, a great overview of the top spots out there. Small comment though: the music feels like someone died. Can still be classical, but perhaps choose a major key..

Glad you enjoyed it, yes a very huge woolshed in it's day.
Beautiful photos
Thank you! Cheers!

네, 좋은 여행입니다. 마음에 들어하셔서 기쁩니다.
G'day Mick and Sally. Wondering when you made this trip? Plenty of water and grass about. Enjoying your videos, Thanks for sharing. 😁
We did this trip in September 2008.
good work Mick ... nice movie making
:87)
Thanks 👍
Went across in 1982 when I was a teenager. Dad had an FJ55 LandCruiser at the time
Like us, you must have some good memories of it.
i’m over in the USA can you do a tour of your campers interior? Enjoy your videos, thank you!
When you say camper interior, do you me caravan? We used a tent on our Simpson trip as you would have seen. Eventually we will be doing on on our caravan.

Perhaps you could try the National Parks Web Site for some information on your requirements. Good luck with your trip.
I know its awhile now , but can the Pajero driver let us know how much fuel he went thru, as I'm going there in July

We are looking forward to doing it again soon making it our second trip that way. Don't think we will ever match your trips though.

Thanks for sharing, which month did you travel?
During September.
Like your travel and trucking videos mate, but I would pass on this one.
Not for everyone, fair enough.
