When they debuted, they literally had no help with making the choreos because the company cannot pay for a choreographer so they had to do it themselves(shining diamond, adore u, fast pace+ all the perfomance unit choreos, etc. are 100% by them) Gladly, now they are being helped by a choreographer but still, the performance unit always participates with the making so they can show the emotions they want to portray by dancing
and to add to it, they often use korean sign language thinking that those who can't have the ability to appreciate their music might appreciate their performance, we love these kings

Their formation changes are so fluid and well planned out it's unbelievable. Girija exactly, this is the most amazing choreography I had ever seen from the kpop industry on this year. The syncronization, the uniqueness of the dance moves, the natural flow of each parts and the beautifully made formations. I might be exaggerating but I really can't avoid from doing so. They need to win some sort of award for this level of performance
Yah this is the only only category they could possibly win. But votes are powerful and it can make the results reverse. And I think they won't win at MAMA. Only in MMA, because MMA is a pure domestic data w/ international voting. While MAMA is a domestic and international data. And SVT is poor on International points since they haven't conducting a world tour or even a debut in Japan. Its easy to nominate but hard to win. MMA would be the most possible for them on winning best in choreo and Seoul Music Awards(although Seoul Music Award is kinda bias).

SVT idolized BTS. And yeah I both they are in the same direction but I think our boys needs to practice producing and doing a choreo for their song just like BTS. That would be a big slap for big companies
Gelaigre Quirante Seventeen is called self produced idol because they write their lyrics, write rap, compose, produce and make choreo by themselves. their talent took them into attention even they are only two years old in kpop industry. i think if they keep working like this, they will dominate some day in future 💜
I don't think people appreciate the effort they put in in all aspects of their dancing. A lot of people don't understand how hard it is to be synchronized even with a group as small as 3 or 4. So the fact a 13 member group has some of the best synchronizations in the whole kpop industry is completely insane... legitimately insane. Also, huge props to Hoshi for playing a part in choreographing. The more members there are the more complex you can make things and the more formations you can create. I've been a choreographer for a dance team for a few years now and I admit it is very difficult. Seventeen's choreographers AMAZING at their jobs. They all don't get nearly enough recognition for their efforts.

Min Saeun indeed. I can tell that this choreo is deeply thought out into detail. The way they stop moving and then just one person goes to the middle, then suddenly all their movements are in sync and so on... I can't even talk about it properly. I always like to say, if one has problems describing something, then that something must be some kind of art. It is beauty that we all can see and understand but can't give a name for.
I'm no fan of this group and this is the only song of them that I know. But I must say that this is by far, imo, the most aesthetically pleasing, cleanest, on point creative choreography of kpop song that I've seen in my 9 years of being a kpop fan. I can't imagine the hard work they've put in to pull off such performance. The song is already perfect in itself but the dance made it even more perfect (if there is even such thing). Whoever choreographed this piece of art should be recognized cos this is no joke. This is beyond amazing. Lastly, I don't think any other kpop group (even my bias group) could pull off this dance. This is as if it was a match made in heaven for Seventeen. They are the perfect group to perform this piece of perfection.
One of the member, Hoshi choreographed this dance with the help of the company's choreographer. He had been actively participating in choreographing their group's dance since debut, with the help of the performance team.

How perfect Seventeen did that intricate formation from the cube at 0:37-0:38 then each step turns into a set of straight lines at 0:44-0:47 needs more than practices, they have amazing chemistry. My OCD self is so pleased by their perfect synchronization! HOSHI IS A GENIUS. WOOZI IS A GENIUS. SEVENTEEN IS A GIFT THAT KEEPS ON GIVING.
I am a complete ARMY and I've never cried watching a dance practice without it being from BTS until today. Seventeen has undeniable talent and ability to captivate an audience whether it would be through their voice or through their movement. Congrats to Seventeen for making this 19 year old guy crying at 9am.
Luxi I am a hip hop dancer and I can tell the difference between ability and passion and Seventeen possesses both especially for the performance line. I cry whenever I watch BTS dance practices because I can only dream to have dancing ability like J-Hope or Jimin for example cuz they are srsly blessed. I love dancing and BTS and Seventenn inspire me to become better dancers and that's why I cry 😭

What’s holy amazing about Seventeen: not a SINGLE WEAK DANCER. not a SINGLE ONE. What an incredibly talented group. I mean I stan a lot of kpop groups ok... been into kpop since 2012. But I’d say Seventeen are honestly the most all rounded talented newer kpop group I have ever seen (so 2011 onwards; after the 2nd gen. groups)

I don't know if anyone has noticed, but seventeen's choreography (front & rear ver.) used to be full of little jokes between them and screams and stuff like that. This one is a *lot* more serious. They have become so mature & im so proud of our boys. But I still want to see them have fun. Seventeen fighting!!

I am absolutely mesmerised. I've never been so shocked by such a beautiful dance routine, this isn't just an ordinary routine either. The amount of footwork, cordination, flexibility, strength, and overall amazing stamina and durability to sustain such a heavy routine; honestly singing after dancing with a switch up paced routine like this is already difficult. What's more amazing and rare is that there isn't any weak links, you can tell they are all great dancers, talented, skilled, gifted and there is no doubt that this choreo is 2017s best. I stan talent, I stan seventeen.

So many members and they are perfectly synchronized and everyone is dancing THAT GOOD. Their choreography really caught my eye and made me listen to their music because it's just SO IMPRESSIVE. And their songs also are masterpieces. So much talent is kinda overwhelming. Who put these guys together like... Wow... Thank you
based on the choreo, he is at the back because of his height hihi same goes to Minggyu, Seokmin, Minghao and Jun. They'll only be center when its their part and front liner after/before their part. and YES YES YES Wonwoo is one of a good dancers in svt!

naega hosh honestly i've been listening to their songs since akkinda era but why didnt i stan them omg at that time i only knew the leader s.coups and jeonghan o(╯□╰)o should've stanned them earlier o(╯□╰)o
don't spill my milo haha of course! well first off, the best way to learn their names is to watch One Fine Day (they were on the show twice) or 17 Project (pre-debut stuff) so you get to see their amazing personalities too. And I also find it easiest to learn them by their sub-units too (Weekly Idol and ASC). I know 13 members can be over-whelming but here's a few things that separate some of them from one another... Mingyu: He's the tallest and has long legs, kinda hard to miss. He's the "mom" of the group so he's the one that can cook and stuff; probably the one doing all the kitchen work/cleaning. Woozi: Also kinda hard to miss bc he's the smallest by like a foot lol; probably the one judging the rest of the group and contemplating life, also probably the one that they make do aegyo (he hates it but he can't help but being cute) :) Hoshi: He calls himself 10:10 because of his eyes are like the hands of a clock at 10:10; probably the one goofing around laughing and imitating Wonwoo 24/7. Vernon: He's half American half Korean and they say he looks like baby Leonardo Dicaprio; speaks fluent English; probably the one laughing/smiling at his own members while in the background (but of course he has his moments) Joshua: Lived in LA most of his life; speaks fluent English; probably the one playing guitar/speaking english lol. Jeonghan: Had very long hair, but he has now cut it off RIP Jeonghan's beautiful hair; probably the one trying to cheat in games/play pranks on the other members. The8: Has a lanky body with long skinny legs; probably the one bboying/doing flips everywhere (*coughcough* like in this video). Wonwoo: Probably has round glasses on and has underrated long legs; probably the quiet(ish) one in the back that cracks jokes every once in a while that he thinks are so funny (also imitates Hoshi a lot). DK: Has a pointier nose and a super wide smile that's super contagious; probably the one laughing/cracking a joke and being extra af. Seungkwan: Has a rounder, chubbier face; probably the one also being extra af and loves making jokes. Dino: Also small, but not as much as Woozi; probably the one that all the members tease all the time and probably the one dancing to Michael Jackson. Jun: Quiet bb who's from China; probably the quiet one who doesn't speak much (bc he's not very confident in his Korean). S.Coups: Leader; also hard to miss he has a very unique face; probably the one trying to gather his kids around, but also acts like a kid himself. Hope this helps...not all of this may apply to their personalities all the time but it's just something to help! Let me know if there's anything else!
This whole choreography, my friend, is an art piece. Though we all agree this whole choreography is brilliant, these are some of my favorite part, which, I value as very interestingly aesthetic: 0:18-0:28 Vernon's part will always be one of my most favorite part, no joke. I don't think I even need to explain why. 0:35 I find it really artistic when everyone does a fast spin and Hosh's hands compliment the whole group's spin movement... get what i'm saying? 0:39-0:47 again, this one doesn't even need explanations. it's amazingly aesthetic how Woozi's little moves also compliment the overall synchronized turns of 12 freaking persons (which i'm super amazed at) 1:20 THIS ONE IS VERY THEATRICALLY ARTISTIC. tbh at first when i saw this on the mv, i initially thought this is cheesy and whatever, but then i found out that Coups' lyrics is all about walking on an unfamiliar path or sth. THEN i realized how amazingly clever this dance is (as expected from Hoshi who gets inspirations from even tissue papers or waffle cafe sofas, he gets this inspiration from when he's simply walking home at night hhhh) 1:29-1:37 I find that Hosh tends to do this kind of stuff, like in Rock choreography (the spinning x thing) which is simple but amazing to the eye, and totally make good use of the huge number of members. 1:39-1:47 this whole entangled thing blows my mind, period. (again, i find this has a similar approach with the one in Highlight, which traces back to our performance team leader's brain) 2:12-2:17 i love this part of the chorus 2:34:2:36 what complicated thing are they even doing with their hands in two seconds and why does it look so good 2:41-2:54 ok this is personally my personal choice for being the most artistic. the fact that they do nothing on a freakin chorus is mindblowing, yet it's aesthetic because it gives a whole new different feeling to the song (it feels more sad and dramatic now, no?) + it gives viewers time to breathe and listen through the song. YET it's followed by tiny movements that follows tiny parts of the song, which is very clever and again, artistic. As someone who's design-trained, this reminds me of every lecturers keep saying to us: give the viewers a place to breathe, the more full doesn't mean the better. Conclusion: Kwon Soonyoung deserves to get more attention to the enormous amount of talent and hard work he gives. YES I am aware the whole performance team also contributed to the dance, but if you do pay attention to each of SVT's choreography there are always several parts which you can directly tell that it comes from Hoshi's brain, and sometimes you can also tell which moves are from Dino's brain, etc etc. BUT let's face it, observing from little things like OFD (the dongsaeng performance thingy) and what the members have been saying, i'm pretty sure Hoshi does more work than the others when it comes to choreographing their dances. He deserves that World Performance award we get last time, and he deserves more. SVT deserves more.

I want Seventeen to become like Infinite..everyone who is into kpop knows that ALL of Infinite members are great dancers, everyone are saying that they are one of the best dancers in kpop, they are known for they perfect synchronization so I really hope that one day Seventeen will get that title too, because all of them dance so good!
I think one of the many reasons I love SVT so much is that they are so independant. They do their own choreography, lyrics, production and they all work so hard! Not a single one of them is a weak dancer, they're all so synchronized and in time and work so well together. Not only are heir routines highly complicated but they seem to perform the with such ease and fluidity. I can only imagine the amount of hardwork they put in to produce these results. As well as this they are all amazing at singing and for a group of 13, they split the roles up pretty fairly and in a logical way, giving everyone parts. What I mean to say is that they all have a variety of great talents and I think they work really well as a team to bring them together and perform to the best of their abilities and for that I will forever love them. They genuinely look like they're having fun and enjoy each others company, something that is not always seen in the KPop industry. They care for their fans and all have great personalities. SEVENTEEN! FIGHTING!
Prachi Kulkarni actually, they don’t do it independently. They have choreographers and music producers with them but woozi helps with song production and hoshi(sometimes the8) gets involved with producing choreography because he’s the performance leader. They just get involved with their content but not do it ALL by themselves .
Old Kim Min if you follow them, yes they don't make it all themselves. They also have guidance of pledis choreographer and producer. But the thing is, they do the initiative in producing and choreographing. They don't help their choreographer or producer but instead the choreographer and producer help them. In short, they are the main choreographer and producer of their own group. (Specifically woozi as the main producer and hoshi as the main choreographer) Ps. I just want to clarify. Since you said woozi helps in producing and stuff.
Old Kim Min ps. Hoshi said it in seventeen project. He said that the company is teaching them to walk on their own with the guidance of the producer and choreographer of pledis.

Quarantine boredom brought me here and I’m gonna be really honest, This group has the most synchronized dance not even my main stan group can dance this well. The foot steps,Hand gestures and teamwork are all on point.

When they debuted, they literally had no help with making the choreos because the company cannot pay for a choreographer so they had to do it themselves(shining diamond, adore u, fast pace+ all the perfomance unit choreos, etc. are 100% by them) Gladly, now they are being helped by a choreographer but still, the performance unit always participates with the making so they can show the emotions they want to portray by dancing
and to add to it, they often use korean sign language thinking that those who can't have the ability to appreciate their music might appreciate their performance, we love these kings

Girija exactly, this is the most amazing choreography I had ever seen from the kpop industry on this year. The syncronization, the uniqueness of the dance moves, the natural flow of each parts and the beautifully made formations. I might be exaggerating but I really can't avoid from doing so. They need to win some sort of award for this level of performance
Yah this is the only only category they could possibly win. But votes are powerful and it can make the results reverse. And I think they won't win at MAMA. Only in MMA, because MMA is a pure domestic data w/ international voting. While MAMA is a domestic and international data. And SVT is poor on International points since they haven't conducting a world tour or even a debut in Japan. Its easy to nominate but hard to win. MMA would be the most possible for them on winning best in choreo and Seoul Music Awards(although Seoul Music Award is kinda bias).

I don't think people appreciate the effort they put in in all aspects of their dancing. A lot of people don't understand how hard it is to be synchronized even with a group as small as 3 or 4. So the fact a 13 member group has some of the best synchronizations in the whole kpop industry is completely insane... legitimately insane. Also, huge props to Hoshi for playing a part in choreographing. The more members there are the more complex you can make things and the more formations you can create. I've been a choreographer for a dance team for a few years now and I admit it is very difficult. Seventeen's choreographers AMAZING at their jobs. They all don't get nearly enough recognition for their efforts.

The way they stop moving and then just one person goes to the middle, then suddenly all their movements are in sync and so on... I can't even talk about it properly. I always like to say, if one has problems describing something, then that something must be some kind of art. It is beauty that we all can see and understand but can't give a name for.

I'm no fan of this group and this is the only song of them that I know. But I must say that this is by far, imo, the most aesthetically pleasing, cleanest, on point creative choreography of kpop song that I've seen in my 9 years of being a kpop fan. I can't imagine the hard work they've put in to pull off such performance. The song is already perfect in itself but the dance made it even more perfect (if there is even such thing).
Whoever choreographed this piece of art should be recognized cos this is no joke. This is beyond amazing.
Lastly, I don't think any other kpop group (even my bias group) could pull off this dance. This is as if it was a match made in heaven for Seventeen. They are the perfect group to perform this piece of perfection.

Luxi I am a hip hop dancer and I can tell the difference between ability and passion and Seventeen possesses both especially for the performance line. I cry whenever I watch BTS dance practices because I can only dream to have dancing ability like J-Hope or Jimin for example cuz they are srsly blessed. I am absolutely mesmerised. I've never been so shocked by such a beautiful dance routine, this isn't just an ordinary routine either. The amount of footwork, cordination, flexibility, strength, and overall amazing stamina and durability to sustain such a heavy routine; honestly singing after dancing with a switch up paced routine like this is already difficult. What's more amazing and rare is that there isn't any weak links, you can tell they are all great dancers, talented, skilled, gifted and there is no doubt that this choreo is 2017s best. I stan talent, I stan seventeen.

I stan a lot of groups, but holy crap. The Seventeen members are so in sync. I haven't seen such an in sync large group ever. Even compared to more major groups, I'd have to say that Seventeen has the better "in sync-ness".

well first off, the best way to learn their names is to watch One Fine Day (they were on the show twice) or 17 Project (pre-debut stuff) so you get to see their amazing personalities too. And I also find it easiest to learn them by their sub-units too (Weekly Idol and ASC).
I know 13 members can be over-whelming but here's a few things that separate some of them from one another...
Mingyu: He's the tallest and has long legs, kinda hard to miss. He's the "mom" of the group so he's the one that can cook and stuff; probably the one doing all the kitchen work/cleaning.
Woozi: Also kinda hard to miss bc he's the smallest by like a foot lol; probably the one judging the rest of the group and contemplating life, also probably the one that they make do aegyo (he hates it but he can't help but being cute) :)
Hoshi: He calls himself 10:10 because of his eyes are like the hands of a clock at 10:10; probably the one goofing around laughing and imitating Wonwoo 24/7.
Vernon: He's half American half Korean and they say he looks like baby Leonardo Dicaprio; speaks fluent English; probably the one laughing/smiling at his own members while in the background (but of course he has his moments)
Joshua: Lived in LA most of his life; speaks fluent English; probably the one playing guitar/speaking english lol.
Jeonghan: Had very long hair, but he has now cut it off RIP Jeonghan's beautiful hair; probably the one trying to cheat in games/play pranks on the other members.
The8: Has a lanky body with long skinny legs; probably the one bboying/doing flips everywhere (*coughcough* like in this video).
Wonwoo: Probably has round glasses on and has underrated long legs; probably the quiet(ish) one in the back that cracks jokes every once in a while that he thinks are so funny (also imitates Hoshi a lot).
DK: Has a pointier nose and a super wide smile that's super contagious; probably the one laughing/cracking a joke and being extra af.
Seungkwan: Has a rounder, chubbier face; probably the one also being extra af and loves making jokes.
Dino: Also small, but not as much as Woozi; probably the one that all the members tease all the time and probably the one dancing to Michael Jackson.
Jun: Quiet bb who's from China; probably the quiet one who doesn't speak much (bc he's not very confident in his Korean).
S.Coups: Leader; also hard to miss he has a very unique face; probably the one trying to gather his kids around, but also acts like a kid himself.

The synchronization and dance moves are no joke the choreographer deserves a raise, by far one of the best dances in kpop
This whole choreography, my friend, is an art piece. Though we all agree this whole choreography is brilliant, these are some of my favorite part, which, I value as very interestingly aesthetic:
0:18-0:28 Vernon's part will always be one of my most favorite part, no joke. I don't think I even need to explain why.
0:35 I find it really artistic when everyone does a fast spin and Hosh's hands compliment the whole group's spin movement... get what i'm saying?
0:39-0:47 again, this one doesn't even need explanations. it's amazingly aesthetic how Woozi's little moves also compliment the overall synchronized turns of 12 freaking persons (which i'm super amazed at)
1:20 THIS ONE IS VERY THEATRICALLY ARTISTIC. tbh at first when i saw this on the mv, i initially thought this is cheesy and whatever, but then i found out that Coups' lyrics is all about walking on an unfamiliar path or sth. THEN i realized how amazingly clever this dance is (as expected from Hoshi who gets inspirations from even tissue papers or waffle cafe sofas, he gets this inspiration from when he's simply walking home at night hhhh)
1:29-1:37 I find that Hosh tends to do this kind of stuff, like in Rock choreography (the spinning x thing) which is simple but amazing to the eye, and totally make good use of the huge number of members.
1:39-1:47 this whole entangled thing blows my mind, period. (again, i find this has a similar approach with the one in Highlight, which traces back to our performance team leader's brain)
2:12-2:17 i love this part of the chorus
2:34:2:36 what complicated thing are they even doing with their hands in two seconds and why does it look so good
2:41-2:54 ok this is personally my personal choice for being the most artistic. the fact that they do nothing on a freakin chorus is mindblowing, yet it's aesthetic because it gives a whole new different feeling to the song (it feels more sad and dramatic now, no?) + it gives viewers time to breathe and listen through the song. YET it's followed by tiny movements that follows tiny parts of the song, which is very clever and again, artistic. As someone who's design-trained, this reminds me of every lecturers keep saying to us: give the viewers a place to breathe, the more full doesn't mean the better.
Conclusion: Kwon Soonyoung deserves to get more attention to the enormous amount of talent and hard work he gives. YES I am aware the whole performance team also contributed to the dance, but if you do pay attention to each of SVT's choreography there are always several parts which you can directly tell that it comes from Hoshi's brain, and sometimes you can also tell which moves are from Dino's brain, etc etc. BUT let's face it, observing from little things like OFD (the dongsaeng performance thingy) and what the members have been saying, i'm pretty sure Hoshi does more work than the others when it comes to choreographing their dances. He deserves that World Performance award we get last time, and he deserves more. SVT deserves more.

I notice Hoshi is very keen on wavy hand gestures & hip movements (Crazy in Love chorus, Rock, his solo stages, Boom Boom smaller-group-dance breaks, u name it- he uses this a lot). he also likes to create unique group formations (e.g. them creating their own logo, X formation in DWC, the spinning thing in Rock), and add storytelling elements in his choreography (Pretty U especially) :P while I notice Dino is more keen to rigid movements (which i spot quite a lot in Very Nice choreography)

they’re so in sync that they we’re probably all born at the exact same time just on different days in different years in different places.
I think one of the many reasons I love SVT so much is that they are so independant. They do their own choreography, lyrics, production and they all work so hard! Not a single one of them is a weak dancer, they're all so synchronized and in time and work so well together. Not only are heir routines highly complicated but they seem to perform the with such ease and fluidity. I can only imagine the amount of hardwork they put in to produce these results. As well as this they are all amazing at singing and for a group of 13, they split the roles up pretty fairly and in a logical way, giving everyone parts.
What I mean to say is that they all have a variety of great talents and I think they work really well as a team to bring them together and perform to the best of their abilities and for that I will forever love them. They genuinely look like they're having fun and enjoy each others company, something that is not always seen in the KPop industry. They care for their fans and all have great personalities. SEVENTEEN! FIGHTING!
Prachi Kulkarni actually, they don’t do it independently. They have choreographers and music producers with them but woozi helps with song production and hoshi(sometimes the8) gets involved with producing choreography because he’s the performance leader. They just get involved with their content but not do it ALL by themselves .
Old Kim Min if you follow them, yes they don't make it all themselves. They also have guidance of pledis choreographer and producer. But the thing is, they do the initiative in producing and choreographing. They don't help their choreographer or producer but instead the choreographer and producer help them. In short, they are the main choreographer and producer of their own group. (Specifically woozi as the main producer and hoshi as the main choreographer)
Ps. I just want to clarify. Since you said woozi helps in producing and stuff.
Old Kim Min ps. Hoshi said it in seventeen project. He said that the company is teaching them to walk on their own with the guidance of the producer and choreographer of pledis.
