NOTE: 4:20 , if you have fans like this to chain them, you need to know that you can put only 3 fans on 1 header(chasis fan), and if you have 3 others you connect them to another header.

Is BIOS fan curve setup needed for the third party fan control? Or can we just use the software?

You can use software.
If windows (secure boot?) prevents you accessing bios on restart try restarting from within windows while holding left shift, this will reboot into the windows recovery menu, select troubleshoot, advanced options, UEFI firmware settings, click restart and it will boot to the bios entry page and prompt you for whichever key you need to press to enter the bios.
does the saving profile portion in the beginning work if you need to update your bios?
Great video, exactly what I needed because I play on a gaming laptop, and MSI Afterburner doesn't allow changes.
My only issue is that I can only edit my CPU on the Rem0o app, and my laptop GPU doesn't show.

Used this for ages with Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280 cooler and rear fan p12 pwm on a 5800x3d and rx6800. my pc is basically slient I use the Auto Fan curve
Should I leave my AIO 360mm pump speed at a static speed or let it build up with temp via a fan curve/graph?
has anyone faced the issue that app is not auto starting, although "start at user log on" is ticked along with "start minimized" ??
16:22 also can not manually set the GPU fan curves in AMD adrenalin, everytime i set the values on the dials it reverts back.

I could use some help with my Kraken X73. I have 2 Fan Curves that pop up with two different RPMs that seem to be part of the AIO. Turning the slider up and down does not make sound but the RPM is registering. Would you have any insight what could possibly be causing this? Thank you for all your videos
The one to control the AIO is controlling the pump. It is faint but if you listen closely you can hear it or at least should.
One more issue i have, is that even though i set 20% fan speed at 20c on my GPU, the fans dont spin even if the bottom graph (curve) shows 40c degrees ( and 20% supposedly fan speed ) whats up with that?

Subscribed and liked the excellent video , but i still have one question remaining I set up the step up and step down at 12%/sec, but in some fans ( aircool cpu fans , top case fan , and GPU fans , the "start" option is at 12% and the "Stop" Option is at 6% for the CPU and for the GPU 51% and 36% respectively . Should i change this to 0% or something like that? Also the Offset and Minimum % is 0% on all fans , case, gpu and cpu . Thank you in advance .

Hi Panjno, I turned off the fan curve on the MSI Afterburner so it doesn't interfere with the fan control. However, my GPU on the fan control still has "?" (after I've refreshed it), suggesting there is still an external source overriding this. Should I force apply on that fan? As I don't know what that other source could be. Thanks

your tip to look at mobo manual was THE BEST! i actually was able to figure out what sys fan 1 and sys fan 5 was and everything (first pc) and honestly, default is fine, i was STRESSING! and i use ZERO FROZR on msi, it keeps it all cool, usually off (gpu fans off while idle) when i game (instantly turns fans on, keeps gpu at 60-70c) and geforce experience, fan control automatic, if you have an issue or its just too loud, then i guess fix into what you need, but for 40 series especially, they are efficient and nvidia tested what their cards can handle,,,,but knowing is still important thanks for video

Hey man I love your videos! I've followed so many of your optimization videos but I have not seen any improvement in my performance and I was wondering if you could help me. No matter what I do I never see fps increase or anything. Here's my set up.
ASUS ROG STRIX Z590, Intel I7 processor, EVGA RTX 3090TI FTW3 ULTRA, and my monitor is a 4k 144hz acer predator xb323qk. My fps drops like crazy and I can't get a consistent fps number. I've tried rivatuner and it does literally nothing and my games will drop 20 to 30 frames or sometimes even more. I've been trying to fix this issue for months and I desperately need help.

Not bad mate, your fans wont break off or anything like that but they might last a bit longer, sound better and probably maintain the performance if you were to drop them down to 80%.

Awesome video, learned alot but could you also do a warzone 2 optimization guide for potato pcs i have a gtx 1650 and getting 50 fps, it makes me not wanna play cuz in every fight im fucking freezing.
i get 120-180 fps and it still stutters/hitches. think the game is just borked tbh everything else runs fine

just wondering around how much fps are you getting in MW2 and in warzone because in MW im only getting around 60 and in warzone from like 15-30 with a gtx 1080

Si alguien no sabe controlar los fanes de un pc se nota que es nuevo en esto , de lo mas basico que existe , y de hecho seria tirar potencial de el pc y arriesgar a que caliente.. aunque las bios actuales vienen configuradas automaticamente , pero podrias poner todo a tu gusto.. mucha gente ni si quiera se fija en eso.. arma el pc y juega o trabaja como bien todo por defecto.. gastando y sin sacarle el verdadero provecho a los componentes del pc alargando o acortando la vida de los mismos aunque todo hoy esta mas que testeado (igual que la 4090 y su conector =P) y raro que tu pc se sobrecaliente o queme hoy dia..

Panjno I love your videos but you've really messed up with your own fan setup (at least with the system seen in the beginning of the video). Your top fans should be exhaust not intake because hot air travels upwards and you now have 6 intakes and only one exhaust in the back. Turn your top fans the other way around and you'll have your fan setup in perfect balance with a slightly positive pressure to ensure the least amount of dust build up.
On a Phanteks p400a case with a NH12S and after religiously following your instructions it is so much quieter and cooler too. Witchcraft if you ask me. Thanks man

Hi, I play PUBG, and it is so bad optimized(I guess) that still a demanding game even today, I have a problem Wich I cannot fix. I used to play with an RX 550 4gb, with the time I had to configure graphics lower and lower to the point of reducing the render scale to the minimum, using res lower than my native had no effect at all, just looked worse buy same fps and consistency. It was playable but I have the problem when ping increase no matter what amount, it suddenly freezes, for nano seconds or a second . Updated my card to a 1660 super . And it keeps happening. Tried capping fps , lowered graphics with no effect at all, even tried NIS but didn't work. I suspected thermal throttling but my temps were 55 maximum sometimes 60 but fans increased and got back to 55 . My CPU is Ryzen 5 1400, 8 gb ram. The game is running in an m.2 just for the game. I'm so annoyed because I know that lag/high ping is one thing and fps is another totally different, and everyone I asked tell me again and again that high ping and lag is not related to frames per second :/, so they don't even understand the issue. Can you help me please? U.u
