"CD Projekt Red does NOT deservbe forgiveness" they 100% do and have made up by not abandoning the game, instead improving and adding a ton of content its clear that the higher suits wanted the game out way before cdpr devs where done cooking
i think i mainly meant the higher ups at CDPR and those above them that forced the devs to have terrible working conditions & had the “we made the Witcher 3 so we’ll be ok” mindset. the devs themselves are fkn saints for not giving up on the game, but those above them even within CDPR shouldn’t get a second chance imo. also thanks for the comment :)!
You know who doesn't deserve forgiveness? All those butt-hurt gamers who cried endlessly, and who made DEATH THREATS to the Devs .. BEFORE the game was even released because it was taking too long. Then they turned around and cried endlessly because they couldn't play on those toys they call Consoles.
Let's not forget there was this little Covid thing happening to complicate matters more. CDPR devs were unable to really synergize as a team for almost a whole year before release when work was at its most critical point.
@@WHIKKEDD the story blows everything else out the water tbh. My favorite games: Mass Effect Trilogy, Bioshock Infinite and Cyberpunk 2077. I have played hundreds of games and to get top 3 is just something else. The story is rich in detail, the characters are lovable hate-able and interesting. The combat is unique and actually the best I've seen implemented in first person RPGs
I love it it made me grow as a person I’ve been thru a lot felt a lot and I finally slowed down played this game and damn my frontal lobe actually developed while playing made realize how real reality is how the human history love manipulation corruption is all part of life also how we are still getting played but now heavy with distractions and comfortability I love this game its real just people got germane robot arms and flying cars but everything else is real as will be more real in time I love this game
I just finished Phantom Liberty last night, and have been at the point of no return in the base game for weeks now. I bought it on release day, but shelved it this entire time. So this has been my first playthrough, and I love this game so much. I’m stretching out my experience as much as possible, doing everything on offer. Haven’t felt this way about a game since RDR2. Great video man, I 1000% agree with you.
love to hear it! I think RDR2 is a really great example in terms of trying to stretch out an experience. I think i’ve put in the same amount of hours in both, but I am so glad you are experience your first play through. Make sure you choose the ending you best see fit, here’s to you! 🍻🥂
I think it’s fair to have a lack of trust in CDPR as a company due to their shading marketing of this game being “complete” and forcing the launch knowing it wasn’t ready, but I believe the devs and people behind creating the characters, lore and world of this game absolutely deserve praise and I have confidence they’ll keep delivering fantastic games
I love cyberpunk as a genre as a whole. It's been my favorite since before the game! Cyberpunk is the o e genre that can be coupled with any and every other genre.
I swear, this game’s comeback story is almost as good as No Man Sky’s. Hell, I’d personally argue it’s even better. It’s legitimately one of my favorite games out of recent years.
yeah i’d argue it’s better. especially because of all of the mainstream whiplash against this game was at an all time high. def one of my favorite games of the last few years
I can.... The neon lights and freedom to roam a city, no matter how bad, is what makes this cool. It's like the sensationalized version of Tokyo or Seoul or Singapore that we all dream of having in other parts of the world. Ok this my opinion anyway.
Night city is one the best open world city scape ever created, the characters in game r some of the best and most human npcs you’ll ever see in a video game, the gameplay movement and combat is all top tier and super fun, and the game never feels like it’s wasting ur time and forcing u to do busy work to extend ur game time ..I mean any of those things would suffice in explaining why u love the game.. cuz those r the reasons why it’s my favorite game of all time
CDPR's not wholly to blame for the botched launch. It was the money people behind it all that forced it to drop way before it was ready. Either way, the Edgerunners Renaissance™ fixed it all in the end, we're gonna be good
oh yeah, I think I said at some point in the videos it was a lot of the higher ups and publishers. but yeah ever since they started making changes we’ve been eating like kings and queens 🕺
Just found your channel so let me to you this, Yes cyberpunk at launch was one of the biggest flops in gaming history but gradually over a few years it came back and yes it holds the title of the biggest flop and biggest and best comeback in gaming history it holds that title hard the game won awards for how great the game is now I've got 3000+ hours in cyberpunk it's in my top 3 favourite games of all time and the dlc is top tier actually one of the best in recent gaming years and it yes got an award 🎉 Great video choom keep up the great content ❤
I'm one of those people who loved this game at launch. I never fell through the world, I never had NPCs follow me around endlessly, no wacky vehicle spawns, no endless t-posing, the worst thing I had to deal with was the world not fully loading in without needing to wait, and the game crashing after about 6 hours. But, when my hard drive died and I had to replace it, I downloaded the game again and it never ran as well after that.
even nowadays I hear of a lot of people experiencing weird bugs with the game and I'm like?? how? I got like 400h in the game and the only somewhat significant bugs I've had have been cars spawning from the sky sometimes, 2 instances of falling through the world and 2 times dead NPCs decided to clip through something, freak out and turn into polygon spaghetti. other than that it's just the usual traffic weirdness and other typical bugs you get with any game.
@@jeminatamminen When I got the game, there were like 8 patches before I saw any difference at all, it crashed after 8-9 hours instead of 6. And I played on a PS4 Pro, not even PC.
@@jeminatamminenfriend of mine sa me playing it on my PC, said it looks awesome, bought it and immiedietly turned everything to ultra + rtx because 4060. This was the first time I saw the glitches everyone cried about (and at premiere I had 2060S, just spent 30 min tweaking in settings). But ps4 patato optimization was something different.
I've just started playing CP2077 in VR. I'm a huge RPG fan. My first impressions are that CP has I very well crafted and believable world, great well acted characters and a intriguing story line.
I started playing this game on PC after Patch 1.5 when the vast majority of problems had been cleaned up. As I understand it, the early experience _on a good PC_ was actually good. If you're 'weird' for liking the game, I'm from an alternate universe because I've been playing it for over 2 years almost exclusively, and I'm still in love with it. I never bought into any hype because I was barely aware of it....7-8 months after its release it just looked like a fun sci-fi shooter game so I jumped in. I forget my earliest experiences with it...I didn't start playing it seriously until March 2022 and got sucked into the vortex.
yeah it sounds like pc day 1 was pretty much great. i’m glad you’ve gotten to experience it the last 2 years and am so glad to hear you’re stuck in the vortex. you belong with the rest of us, choom 🍻
I remember the dog-piling when CP77 came out and it just didn't ring true. I searched YT for some Lets Plays and found several of my favorite channels (like Welonz) playing on PC with no issues. So, I bought the game and loved it.
Hi Choom! Netflix was just the publisher, the whole show was made by CD Projekt Red and studio Trigger. All rights for cyberpunk are owned by CDPR- so you don't have to be afraid of a lawsuit from Netflix :D
i remember watching that 2012 teaser... i was a young boy then life happened and it finally came out during covid time and yeah I do remember that disaster that the media was able to turn into a moral panic
@@WHIKKEDD i wish 22 year old me could talk to 12 year old me and tell him its gonna suck at first then its gonna be awesome (then tell him to save up for vr headset so I can mod this game in vr check it out)
A lot of cyberpunks story left me feeling empty, not in an unfulfilling way, but in a more gut wrenching almost soul killing way. The overarching theme of sewer side and mental health awareness undertones really stuck with me. From Barry feeling empty and having no one but a turtle to speak to, to Evelyn dealing with so much trauma, that despite Judy explaining that she was in a state where physically she would recover but not mentally, she was reduced to a empty husk. And of course there is the ending where V calls it quits at the top of Misty’s. And it simultaneously makes sense and is one of the best anti self delete pieces of awareness I’ve seen in media. God those voicemails are chilling
To elaborate further from a personal stand of view also, prolonged depression kinda makes you feel a loss of self, I feel like Johnny replacing V also plays into that a lot, V is literally losing their mind, forgetting what they like or don’t like, like smoking for instance is one of the main ways they show it if you decide to play into it
wow you really just dropped the biggest bomb on here that I agree with 100%. thank you for writing your feelings out, I think you hit the nail on the head.
I remember playing a game called shadowrun on Sega Genesis, it was my favorite game when I was younger. This is like a new age version of that. Love this game
I've been gaming since 1990 at the age of 4,and was gifted CB2077 in December 2023. Other than my racing sims, I haven't touched another video game since picking up CB2077. It's currently sitting at the very top of my favourite games list. I'm 90 hours in and I generally don't even finish games, let alone replay them. I just started a Very Hard run yesterday and will be playing Phantom Liberty this time around. It's a really great game and should have been finished before it was released, but CDPR lucked out and recovered from it, and then some. I can't wait for Orion now and will absolutely be buying Day 1 (and I haven't bought anything Day 1 in at least 10 years). I couldn't care less if I get hosed. I need more of this content in my life. Great video, have a sub.
man thank you for such a well thought written comment. I am so happy to hear the joy this game has brought you and I think stories like yours are why games are just so fkn special. Welcome choom, I hope you enjoy your stay 🤙
I preorder thia game an hour before coming out for the ps4, was so devastated at how baaad the launch was. However! This is one of my favorite games of all time, the characters, the story, ect. The journey you go through makes you think about reality and how many of its situations can be relatable to current events. Will i preorder the next one? Nope, I'll wait till the reviews come in. However I've finally beat the main game on PS5 and started the dlc. Its just super amazing they fixed up the issues and wanted to not let this game die.
yup, their resolve to stick with what they loved until they made it what they wanted it to be should be applauded for. the dev team really saved the rest of CDPR.
Being a Gamer since I was a kid on NES, and having worked in IT/Technology for a number of years, I kind of knew what they were promising in the inital release was total BS! But I mean, with what they did release, and where the game stands now, it really is an amazing work of art, and the world building/writing is insanely good. I was busy with life, so I didn't get the game until the 2.12 ultimate edition came out. 200 hrs in so far, and all I can says is WOW! I love it all! Runs flawless on my mid level PC, its fun as hell, the DLC is a story I will never forget. I think if it was any other game studio (cough *EA*) they would have cut and run after 1.10. But to see where the game is now at 2.12 w/Phantom Liberty man, amazing, definitely a huge come-back story, and I hope more game developers take notice! Fix old games, make solid value packed DLC, don't keep releasing new broken games on a constant schedule. Also games are supposed to be FUN, not a grind for stupid loot boxes, Cyberpunk is always fun!
thank you for such a fkn awesome comment and i’m glad you got to experience the game and what it’s offering! I think the devs really deserve a standing ovation for their work in fixing the game.
oop my apologies then! i just used it as a quick example but there’s probably some other stuff floating around out there. nevertheless, this game fkn rocks. thanks for the catch!
@@WHIKKEDD No stress. Really enjoyed your video though. Pretty much describes how I feel about the game too. It still has a lot of flaws but somehow it’s one of the most enjoyable games I’ve played this past decade
I’m completely done with preorders and early access. Don’t even get me started on kickstarters and crowd sourcing lol. You can’t even trust a game’s official launch anymore. Props to CDPR for cleaning up their mess. The game is so good now. The 2.0 changes took the game to its final form. It’s easily one of my favorite titles now. Cheers, Chooms!
It’s like they promised you a night with Scarlet Johansson but instead you got a night with Natalie Portman. Like yeah they lied but I’m still thrilled with what I got.
150 hours of trying out new builds and not having finished a playthrough yet, I'd say I'm into it. XD Then again, it also gives me a nostalgia kick as I'm old enough to remember the TTRPG of Cyberpunk 2020. I geeked out when the radio conspiracy guy started talking about the Carbon Plague. XD
4:46 if it was third person, I honestly believe it would've been more than capable of taking the throne from GTA in the open world genre! Rockstar would've definitely had to up the proverbial ante!
I started this game late November of 2023 and wow I was immediately captivated by the world that was being shown to me entirely engrossed playing the main story I choose for hours on end all the side missions all the gigs all the nopd scanner hustles every single thing phantom liberty has to offer and I can confidently say this one of if not my favorite played games of all time even after finishing this game with nothing else to do I still find myself looking for any excuse to play beating on thugs or doing those car delivery missions and it's hard to accept that I miss this game I miss learning about this world I miss when I didn't know anything about it besides Keanu Reeves and a depressing anime from 2022 I want more Cyberpunk 2077 | don't care what critics said in 2020 it's good NOW I miss playing this game man.
The release version of Cyberpunk 2077 is where I sunk over 900 hours of my life into. I haven't even played Phantom Liberty or anything past 1.2. I played it on a PS4 Pro and it was shockingly fine comparing to what I saw online.
The thing that really got me was the players who stated I played cyberpunk 2077 and came across no problems with it while most people were doing feature length movies of all the glitches in the game the only people who probably didn't have many issues with the game were those playing on top of the range custom built PC s when the game was supposed to be made for the x box one and ps 4 consoles and still work properly on those consoles after the game had been stripped back to its bare bones in order to get it to run a bit More smoothly as those consoles didn't have the prossesing power or ram size to do so CD red by all rights should have been sued or of business for that I gave up buying games because I got fed up spending 60 pound a time for broken unplayable games from an industry that has zero respect for the people who buy their games they only respect and expect the money even if the game should never of been released but thrown into the furnace to burn
I'm15 and Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the best games I've played in my entire life. I'm so happy I wasn't conscious enough in 2012 to endure the wait period for its launch 😂. I'm heavily into story based and single player games. Cyberpunk 2077 has influenced the way I use slang and introduced me to my new favorite genre. No game has ever impacted me more than Cyberpunk 2077
I have also just picked up cyberpunk. Haven't touched it since launch. I had a ps4 at the time. I also had terrible internet so took awhile before I got all that sorted out. Now I'm playing on both xbox series x and my steamdeck with cross saves and this is now what I had expected at launch.
I've been playing this game since day 1 and would come back for a full playthrough after every update. It's been one hell of a ride seeing this thing reach It's final form but I couldn't be happier that Cyberpunk got It's No Man's Sky redemption arc... But yeah NEVER again will I pre-order anything from Seedy Project Red (see what I did there 😂)
@@WHIKKEDD Thought you'd get a chuckle out of that rebranding 🤣🤣🤣 For me it was a one two sucker punch to learn that lesson. Cyberpunk and Assassins creed valhalla were my 2020 pre-orders. Never again after that mess!
been a cyberpunk enjoyer since near enough day one. I bought it during the chaos that was the release, didnt pre-order it. as a game developer i believe there is no game that is not fixable. I did pre-order the DLC though, was quite hyped for Phantom Liberty and it didnt dissapoint!
The release disaster was because Cyberpunk was optimised to be played on next gen hardware, if we remember at the time of its release the next gen consoles were delayed, I bought my os5 of a scalper, so unfortunately the game was primarily ran on Previous gen hardware, ps4s. So everyone was fuming, but then when next gen hardware was available that’s when the games hate dies down. CDPRs audience was next gen players, it wasn’t their fault next gen became delayed
As of right now, Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the very best if not the best game ever made. I mean come on......how spectacular is this game? Its pretty much all i wanna play. It is the GOAT
It was only a "disaster" if you were a Console Peasant or playing on a Potatoe. I had no issues. To date I have nearly 1000 hours. I love it because it's different - for example, there are NO ZOMBIES or MAGIC SPELLS etc etc
I've enjoyed it since day 1, I didn't really get much if any of the bugs and glitches at release, Actually got more of it after their first big patch, but even then it was minimal.
It's the design of the city for me. It just flows so fucking well. Like your mother in a bukaki scene getting piped up by smooth peanut buttery Complexion BBCS. SHIT jokes aside one of the main things that make me just fall love it is the small details like going to fight the twins and you get there while some dude is playing some chill ass melody with the city in the background..Or talking to Judy in some dusty ass stairwell abt life that made me go "yeah I can definitely see me having a convo like this with my drunk ass uncle" somewhere away from everyone. That's just the top of the creampie list and ... I'm... Sorry I'll stop.. Fuck I'm a mature grown adult
😭 easily the funniest comment i’ve ever gotten. its ok you have me trying not to burst out laughing at work, and I totally agree that the design of the city is fkn kick ass
Here in two or three years, you'll probably love StarField as well... Sorry I just remember everyone and their grandma talking garbage about cyberpunk. Meanwhile I get the original copy with the dust cover and all the extra fiddly bits, like the map, the stickers, the postcards. I'm actually going to get the map and the postcards framed together for my Twitch streaming studio room. #ZerohSyks
that’s awesome! i actually have always had a base fondness for cyberpunk, even when everyone was shitting on it I actually really liked it, Starfield tho…I just don’t really like at all but hey it can change over time :)
@@WHIKKEDD I'd say give her about 2 years, if you still don't like it after that, then that's the way it's meant to be. Honestly though I'm anticipating this remaster or remake of Oblivion in 2025. It's almost akin to knowing a really good ice cream flavor is about to release, that you just know in your heart and in your mind and in your soul is going to be absolutely amazing.
The answer is not to trust studios to deliver something polished and complete straight out of the gate. Because they almost never do. Stop pre-ordering. Paying for a product without even knowing what you will get is insane. Foster the discipline and self-control to say "No, I really don't need this thing the second I can get my hands on it." Because you don't. Make these companies earn your money. Refuse to buy their products until you're sure you're getting what you expect and aren't getting shafted. If it means you have to wait three more years after release then so be it. You'll survive without it. There are a thousand other ways to spend your money and your time to keep you occupied until then. They will never learn not to take advantage of their customers-unless their customers like you and I teach them with our wallets.
U should definitely play the dlc, also i think first person is way better than third person, at least for this game, since it makes the ge so much more immersive, also the animations look fucking hillarious from third person since their made for first person, but thats just a fun fact and my comment is already a bloody mess if no making senae
i think it makes perfect sense! i think I just overall prefer 3rd person games BUT i think the first person here does it really well. thanks for the comment!
I played the pc version on release and from start to finish besides a couple t-poses and some funny collision events it ran very good 1440p with a locked 60fps. The real problems where with the console versions.
I played CP2077 on release and honestly I can't say I had any major issues with a game. IMO in terms of disastrous releases No Man's Sky holds the first place.
i played the game before i watched the anime, tbh to me the anime didn't make me feel sad or emotional the way the game did, i know it's kinda contradictory compares to other people when most said the anime gave them depression, cyberpunk 2077 gave me another level of sadness, lonely feeling, it doesn't hit you with a sudden tragic event to make you feel sad, V's story happened slowly, yet obsessed. All the shit V been through, i been through ( deeply feel like so ) though i know all of this is just fictional, but at the same time it's just so real. I played a couple of RPG games but never felt connected to the main character as in this game. Sorry for bad english
don’t apologize your english was great! and i totally understand tbh, i think the game drew more emotions out of me overall. V’s story is a tragic one through and through, while the anime was more of a world builder. Thanks for the comment 🫶🏻
I didnt used to love it as much as i do now after the anime launched. Unfortunately, i had a very bugged version at launch and couldnt play it more than an hour. After the DLC and 2.0 update, its an absolute Gem of a game. The emotions that the dlc rips out of you is amazing. I hadnt played a game or dlc that made me feel a nostalgic sense of being entranced by a game like when i was 12.
People feel bad for liking this game because the company made mistakes. I think one can enjoy the game while not liking the company. The company and the team of people who made the game are separate things even though they work under the same name. You can appreciate the work and passion devs put into this game despite the tough goals and timeframes set by management. All the while disliking that the corporate part of the company messes with the creative/dev part too much. Also, the game is very relatable to the lives of people. Yes, it's an exaggeration but it's a logical exaggeration of the real world.
I'm so addicted to this game and everything Cyberpunk 2077, that I'm going to have to check in to rehab. Also, looking forward to the live-action and the sequel too, which unfortunately will be around 2030. Yuck.
man i’m glad it’s only 6 years away, as long as it doesn’t get delayed. plus it seems CDPR are adding more and more talent to their staff. save me a spot in rehab brother 🫡🤙
@@WHIKKEDD 2030 is a random year I threw out. It might be longer which would suck even more so, however, I think Orion will be bigger and more badass than 2077. Worth the wait!
I want a cyberpunk MMO, but more cyberpunk than CP2077. I feel they went too easy on what makes cyberpunk awesome, there are too many present-day things so it's more like the early stages of cyberpunk. I prefer the later stages with crazy architecture and interstellar travel, like in Blade Runner or The Ascent.
No, you are not weird for liking Cyberpunk 2077. It's one of my top 3 favourite games of all times. Yeh it had a rough launch, and that shouldn't be forgotten. But they made good in the end, which is more than most companies would do. I can always forgive someone who made a mistake and owns up to it and makes up for it. It's the ones that can't admit (or don't even care) that they made a mistake that truly bother me. Now if CDPR make this mistake again and shows they didn't learn anything, THEN we might have to have some words! 😅
thanks for the comment! yup the devs really showed how much they cared for the game, hopefully their next venture doesn’t get force rushed and they’re able to shine again haha
CDPR took your pre-order money, spat in your face, but then cleaned you up and served you a steak dinner. I'd say i didn't like the spitting, but the meal was super nice. Moral of the story, stop pre-ordering games no matter who its being developed by.
V is an asshole but a good surrogate for the player. And if you played Witcher first, a Witcher and an edgerunner is essentially the same profession. So familiar territory
Nah you're not crazy for liking it. Night City is beautiful, the combat is tones of fun and the story is simple but really well done. Sure it had a disastrous release but they fixed a lot of that and unlike a lot of studios they didn't put blame on the fans. Instead they admitted they fucked up, apologized and immediately did everything in their power to right their wrongs. I think CDPR deserves another chance and Cyberpunk deserves the resurgence in popularity that it's getting. Now does that mean we should 100% trust them at this moment? No it doesn't. We should still be somewhat cautious but I think they deserve a chance to prove themselves a trust worthy company again and I think props should he given where they are due.
sadly cyberpunk was receved as a financial failure due to the huge amount of money invested in it and i dont think that there will be anymore cyberpunk 2077 franchise games :/
I played the game since day one release on PS4. Was it buggy? Yeah Did it have less features than expected? Yeah But it still really made a big impact on me and I loved it. The bones of the game have always been wonderful. Looking forward to the next and seeing what can be done without last gen limitations.
i always thought the story was fantastic and worth it. not sure why so many big youtubers were so mad and called the story lazy, i thought it was pretty solid and overall a great time from launch
No ur not wierd, I was a day 1 enjoyer and defender even tho yes there was a shit ton of bugs and it being practically unplayable on last gen. I was playing on series x and only said bugs i experienced was the game would crash on me when I would drive fast between the main corpo district and i wattson getting off that exit on the highway, and some of haneko gigs escort being a bit buggy that a simple reload would fix. Aside from that though the world of Night City, ads, news broadcast talking about events in NC as well as events you as V has created, the Music on the radios to even meeting some of the ingame artists, side quests (not just talking about the characters but also gigs such as the brandance father and son murderers, bugbear, the monk brothers with ine forced implants on him, Mr. Blue Eyes, prisoner that git crucified, and journalist forced hinself against a wall and was willing to end himself because he thought you was the corp sent after him) that just had just amazing writing. Also the voice acting and set scenes really just raised the var for me for 1st person rpgs with player choice. Its a quality and care that they went through the effort to put in things to make the world immersive and game memorable that a lot of single player games in the same genre now just dont strive for anymore and is extremely rare especially in an open world setting outside of the usual IP's or companies that have all the time in the world and money for funding to supply that experience which even then is once in a blue moon. Is a bit unfortunate with how the executives handled things in terms of overwatching management and then having to also take into consideration salesmens and investors being on them bout the constant delays. Also just coming from someone who was a cdpr supporter since Witcher 2, i will say CDPR only has 3 games under their belt aside from little spin offs and they really nailed it in making 1 good game out of the 3 with that being Witcher 3. Not to say 1 and 2 was bad but u can tell within 1 and 2 that was them still getting a grip on how they would hone their craft and get uo to the standard they was known for. Them switching from a 3rd person fantasy to a 1st person sci-fi with all the mechanics we have up to date implemented had me with my expectations thinking they wouldnt have made it that way but damn they still missed the mark. We can talk about what was advertised vs what we got in terms of the whole line chart of players actions and reaction that was cut after the prologue, or the whole nocs would have their own cycles of day to day things however at this point just looking at the game objectively with what we got its still up there in quality and emotions in my opinion that makes it still worth a playthrough along with its praises especially now with every update thats been out making it yes the way I wold say is the definitive way to play it. It shouldve been like this from launch outside of the phantom liberty expansion state of the game with 2.1 shouldve been shipped as 1.0. My main only issue I have with 2077 is just that well, you can see where things was cut, and which characters that was yes given some closure to an extent has some cracks that show they was suppose to have more to them. With Orion being worked on with a whole new l studio team expansion CDPR made located in Boston I will say I truly hope they learned from their lesson and pull through with that one. All i know is some Insomniac devs left to join them, only time will tell. I just want quality stuff and IP wise i do really love Cyberpunk and the world Mike Pondsmith has made and expanded on with the collaboration work with CDPR.
holy cow this comment is insanely through and so well written. thank you for taking the time to write this whole thing out. i agree with everything you put here and I think this game is so fkn fun to play, even at launch I was enjoying myself. idek what else to say other than thank you for taking the time to write this
i wouldn’t say embarrassed is the right word, i just expected more people to be on the side of “haven’t played it since launch because it was so broken” but I am glad it is not like that at all 🙉
Bro I had to stop at 4:41 I think this is a great video topic and I agree with loving the game but to release this now, when you haven’t even touched the dlc? That’s kinda fuckin dumb my boy, why not play the dlc and tell us your thoughts on the FULL GAME?
because i’m playing the game in between other games and not planning on doing the dlc rn. its probably ur first video on the channel but this is just the style. It’s why I call the video playlist “random rambles”. i do full reviews differently, which can be found on the channel. idrc if it’s fucking dumb cause it’s working 😭. i just talk about games I play and that’s it. ik you stopped the video but I quite literally talk about the netflix show too. this style just works for the channel, some people really like it some don’t, it is what it is ig 🙉
@@WHIKKEDD for sure it's your channel. I just think if you're commenting how much you love the game/other media and how much it's stayed with you, not playing the dlc that is paired with the updates you mentioned is...dumb. Edit; Like even tho it's dumb you could very well still find success with it but it is imo dumb.
90% of these promises of what Cyberpunk will be like are exaggerated and inflated journalists' imagination. If you look through all the original creators' materials, all Night City Wire episodes, you'll see that it's hard to find anything that wasn't ultimately released in the game. The game was what the creators said it was supposed to be, not what journalists wrote about. Fans were waiting for Cyberpunk from journalists, but they got it from railway stations and it turned out to be a different game. True, the technical condition was terrible and nothing justifies it, but an attentive fan knew what to expect. You were deceived, but not by the creators of CDPR, but by inferior journalists who inflated every rumor as if it were a confirmed fact and promise.
yeah i also just think it’s important to highlight how the higher ups at Cdpr created a terrible working culture. you should watch BeatEmUps’ video on it, pretty good watch with some deeper info.
you will never trust them again? for more than 3 years they constantly fixed and update the game, spending million fixing it, they refunded the money at first and many other things that basically no other company will do, your opinions are really bad, developers like CDPR are the one we need in the industry, they deserve 100% forginess, when EA Games or Ubisoft are still there abusing and abandoning games
the devs do yes, which is what i literally said multiple times. the higher ups? nope. the publishers who rushed the dev team and made them have terrible working conditions? nope. look into it for yourself to see just how much the devs we’re screwed over :)
@@WHIKKEDD not at all, we are just debating opinions, i was a little fanboy mode haha, anyways good video, keep up the good work, Cyberpunk 2077 rules!

@@WHIKKEDDcyberpunk is undoubtedly the greatest single player 1st person shooter of all time bro
My fav quote from the creator of the source books cyberpunk 2077 is based on is cyberpunk isn’t about saving the world, it’s about saving yourself
goat quote
"CD Projekt Red does NOT deservbe forgiveness"
they 100% do and have made up by not abandoning the game, instead improving and adding a ton of content
its clear that the higher suits wanted the game out way before cdpr devs where done cooking
i think i mainly meant the higher ups at CDPR and those above them that forced the devs to have terrible working conditions & had the “we made the Witcher 3 so we’ll be ok” mindset. the devs themselves are fkn saints for not giving up on the game, but those above them even within CDPR shouldn’t get a second chance imo. also thanks for the comment :)!
Cyberpunk is King in Single player games right now
i think the story’s always been top tier 🙉
@@WHIKKEDD the story blows everything else out the water tbh. My favorite games: Mass Effect Trilogy, Bioshock Infinite and Cyberpunk 2077. I have played hundreds of games and to get top 3 is just something else. The story is rich in detail, the characters are lovable hate-able and interesting. The combat is unique and actually the best I've seen implemented in first person RPGs
The game was never bad. I played it at release day and yes it had bugs but the story was great and I never understood all the complaints.
same here 🕺
It‘s Four years in some months and still not just beautiful, this will become a timeless classic.
yup, totally agree!
i love the rambles!! keep em coming, the channel is growing so fast man!
ty ty! i know, our niche Choom audience is growing 🙇♂️
cyberpunk makes me cry like a baby i fear
edgerunners and honestly part of V’s story makes me a fkn wreck, no shame here
I love it it made me grow as a person I’ve been thru a lot felt a lot and I finally slowed down played this game and damn my frontal lobe actually developed while playing made realize how real reality is how the human history love manipulation corruption is all part of life also how we are still getting played but now heavy with distractions and comfortability I love this game its real just people got germane robot arms and flying cars but everything else is real as will be more real in time I love this game
the emotion between the game and the show are just so fkn strong and real.
I think it’s fair to have a lack of trust in CDPR as a company due to their shading marketing of this game being “complete” and forcing the launch knowing it wasn’t ready, but I believe the devs and people behind creating the characters, lore and world of this game absolutely deserve praise and I have confidence they’ll keep delivering fantastic games
e x a c t l y how I feel and couldn't agree more! The devs deserve the world, can't wait to see what they do next.
I love cyberpunk as a genre as a whole. It's been my favorite since before the game! Cyberpunk is the o e genre that can be coupled with any and every other genre.
honestly i think that’s what attracted me to the game was the overall asthetic and genre in general. but huge W i hope you enjoyed the game too!
Ok this my opinion anyway.
the city looks badass 24/7
@@WHIKKEDD yep, even if it's an NPC peeing on the side of the road 🤣
Night city is one the best open world city scape ever created, the characters in game r some of the best and most human npcs you’ll ever see in a video game, the gameplay movement and combat is all top tier and super fun, and the game never feels like it’s wasting ur time and forcing u to do busy work to extend ur game time ..I mean any of those things would suffice in explaining why u love the game.. cuz those r the reasons why it’s my favorite game of all time
W, glad it’s your favorite game of all time! I love the atmosphere of the city and overall exploration as well :)
Yeah the investors were getting really impatient and stupid covid had a lot to do with its demise too.
Just found your channel so let me to you this,
Yes cyberpunk at launch was one of the biggest flops in gaming history but gradually over a few years it came back and yes it holds the title of the biggest flop and biggest and best comeback in gaming history it holds that title hard the game won awards for how great the game is now I've got 3000+ hours in cyberpunk it's in my top 3 favourite games of all time and the dlc is top tier actually one of the best in recent gaming years and it yes got an award 🎉
Great video choom keep up the great content ❤
thanks choom!! I appreciate the comment and I also thing it’s one of my favorites!!
But, when my hard drive died and I had to replace it, I downloaded the game again and it never ran as well after that.
im sorry to hear about that last part but I'm glad it was working super well for you at launch :)
even nowadays I hear of a lot of people experiencing weird bugs with the game and I'm like??

But ps4 patato optimization was something different.
I've just started playing CP2077 in VR. I'm a huge RPG fan. My first impressions are that CP has I very well crafted and believable world, great well acted characters and a intriguing story line.

@@WHIKKEDD Cool,I use a Quest 3, but I had to upgrade my 3080 to a 4090 for CP. The game is so good, it's worth it for the best experience.
So, I bought the game and loved it.
good! i def think there was a little too much dog pilling tbh
Hi Choom!
Netflix was just the publisher, the whole show was made by CD Projekt Red and studio Trigger. All rights for cyberpunk are owned by CDPR- so you don't have to be afraid of a lawsuit from Netflix :D
W choom for giving me advice. we keep going, no one will stop us
My first playthrough at launch was effectively bug free, minus the performance problems it was amazing for me.
i’m glad I wasn’t the only one who had this experience

W throw back
I've been gaming since 1990 at the age of 4,and was gifted CB2077 in December 2023.
Funny enough replaying this game made me want to make a RUclips video about it as well 😩 it's my new obsession
I love the game. It is one of my absolute favorites. Definitely get phantom liberty. I'd say it's definitely worth it
yessir! already done :)
The ‘every NPC has their own unique schedule’ quote was a mistranslation that even CDPR employees tried to correct but no one listened to them

XD

Cyberpunk 2077 is actually a really good game now. I love it
so glad they made it man, so many great changes, such a fun time
The release version of Cyberpunk 2077 is where I sunk over 900 hours of my life into. I haven't even played Phantom Liberty or anything past 1.2. I played it on a PS4 Pro and it was shockingly fine comparing to what I saw online.
right? i played the ps4 version on my ps5 and it was perfectly fine while I waited for the next gen update
The thing that really got me was the players who stated I played cyberpunk 2077 and came across no problems with it while most people were doing feature length movies of all the glitches in the game the only people who probably didn't have many issues with the game were those playing on top of the range custom built PC s when the game was supposed to be made for the x box one and ps 4 consoles and still work properly on those consoles after the game had been stripped back to its bare bones in order to get it to run a bit More smoothly as those consoles didn't have the prossesing power or ram size to do so CD red by all rights should have been sued or of business for that I gave up buying games because I got fed up spending 60 pound a time for broken unplayable games from an industry that has zero respect for the people who buy their games they only respect and expect the money even if the game should never of been released but thrown into the furnace to burn
unfortunately a lot
of higher ups in the industry want to rush people and it really sucks, great comment!
No game has ever impacted me more than Cyberpunk 2077
love to hear it! i’m super glad Cyberpunk got to impact you that much!!
I have also just picked up cyberpunk. Haven't touched it since launch. I had a ps4 at the time. I also had terrible internet so took awhile before I got all that sorted out. Now I'm playing on both xbox series x and my steamdeck with cross saves and this is now what I had expected at launch.
man i hope to get a steam deck soon so I can experience the game that way too. for now i have the playstation portal 😒

W, i’ve bounced between my PS5 Copy and PC! glad to hear you’ve been having a good experience :)
been a cyberpunk enjoyer since near enough day one. I bought it during the chaos that was the release, didnt pre-order it. as a game developer i believe there is no game that is not fixable. I did pre-order the DLC though, was quite hyped for Phantom Liberty and it didnt dissapoint!
glad to see you enjoyed it since day one, I have as well! i agree I think with enough time and effort, any game can be fixed!
Multyplayer is coming as a mod. There is a working version right now where deathmatch works.

Cyberpunk pulled a soulkiller
yuppp
The release disaster was because Cyberpunk was optimised to be played on next gen hardware, if we remember at the time of its release the next gen consoles were delayed, I bought my os5 of a scalper, so unfortunately the game was primarily ran on Previous gen hardware, ps4s. So everyone was fuming, but then when next gen hardware was available that’s when the games hate dies down.
CDPRs audience was next gen players, it wasn’t their fault next gen became delayed
this is a pretty solid reasoning tbh, thanks for the comment!
As of right now, Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the very best if not the best game ever made. I mean come on......how spectacular is this game? Its pretty much all i wanna play. It is the GOAT
it’s fantastic tbh
It was only a "disaster" if you were a Console Peasant or playing on a Potatoe. I had no issues. To date I have nearly 1000 hours.
I love it because it's different - for example, there are NO ZOMBIES or MAGIC SPELLS etc etc

I've enjoyed it since day 1, I didn't really get much if any of the bugs and glitches at release, Actually got more of it after their first big patch, but even then it was minimal.
yeah i feel like i got one maybe two on launch week and then never really got them, i always really enjoyed the story

The real problems where with the console versions.
yup! that’s pretty much the sentiment i’ve heard from everyone but I played console day 1 and only really found problems when I went looking for them
I played CP2077 on release and honestly I can't say I had any major issues with a game. IMO in terms of disastrous releases No Man's Sky holds the first place.
ohhh yeah no man’s sky def takes the cake. i’m right there with ya
You dont have to explain buddy let go of yourself and just enjoy the ride

i played the game before i watched the anime, tbh to me the anime didn't make me feel sad or emotional the way the game did, i know it's kinda contradictory compares to other people when most said the anime gave them depression, cyberpunk 2077 gave me another level of sadness, lonely feeling, it doesn't hit you with a sudden tragic event to make you feel sad, V's story happened slowly, yet obsessed.

I feel they went too easy on what makes cyberpunk awesome, there are too many present-day things so it's more like the early stages of cyberpunk.
I prefer the later stages with crazy architecture and interstellar travel, like in Blade Runner or The Ascent.
oh man a Cyberpunk MMO with even more cyberpunk awesomeness sounds like a fkn dream
@@WHIKKEDD 100%! And I can't wait to see what they do with Cyberpunk Orion (or whatever the official name for the sequal ends up being) 😊
CDPR took your pre-order money, spat in your face, but then cleaned you up and served you a steak dinner. I'd say i didn't like the spitting, but the meal was super nice.
Moral of the story, stop pre-ordering games no matter who its being developed by.
😭 love the analogy
Cyberpunk is the only 1st person shooter I like andi don't know why
super relate to this hahaha
V is an asshole but a good surrogate for the player. And if you played Witcher first, a Witcher and an edgerunner is essentially the same profession. So familiar territory
it’s funny because i’ve never even thought about that but the more I think about it the more true it sounds haha
100%. I think the devs deserve the absolute world. they kept grinding and turned the game around.
sadly cyberpunk was receved as a financial failure due to the huge amount of money invested in it and i dont think that there will be anymore cyberpunk 2077 franchise games :/
man :( i hope if that is true then we at least get either some books/tv shows, i love this universe
bro said all this and hasn't even touched the dlc 🤯
yup, said all this because it’s what i’m currently playing haha
@@WHIKKEDD if you like the base game this much you’d love phantom liberty. the missions are even better imo
How do you slide I'm stuck on liberty city big robot
Hmm I want to say if you hold down sprint or
double tab it and hold down then the crouch button you should slide
I played the game since day one release on PS4. Was it buggy? Yeah
Did it have less features than expected? Yeah
But it still really made a big impact on me and I loved it. The bones of the game have always been wonderful. Looking forward to the next and seeing what can be done without last gen limitations.
i always thought the story was fantastic and worth it. not sure why so many big youtubers were so mad and called the story lazy, i thought it was pretty solid and overall a great time from launch
@@WHIKKEDD Yea lot of people I think just went in with bias from the beginning after seeing some noise about the bugs and cut features.
I just want quality stuff and IP wise i do really love Cyberpunk and the world Mike Pondsmith has made and expanded on with the collaboration work with CDPR.
holy cow this comment is insanely through and so well written. thank you for taking the time to write this whole thing out. i agree with everything you put here and I think this game is so fkn fun to play, even at launch I was enjoying myself. idek what else to say other than thank you for taking the time to write this
Cyberpunk is extremely popular now so idk why you’re embarrassed.
i wouldn’t say embarrassed is the right word, i just expected more people to be on the side of “haven’t played it since launch because it was so broken” but I am glad it is not like that at all 🙉
Bro I had to stop at 4:41 I think this is a great video topic and I agree with loving the game but to release this now, when you haven’t even touched the dlc?
Edit;
Like even tho it's dumb you could very well still find success with it but it is imo dumb.
My man talking about cp being disaster, you should take a look at Fallout 76 launch.
oh trust me that’s up there too 😭
90% of these promises of what Cyberpunk will be like are exaggerated and inflated journalists' imagination.
Why the fuck have you modded in some normy modern day car? 😂
it’s not my gameplay 😭
you will never trust them again? for more than 3 years they constantly fixed and update the game, spending million fixing it, they refunded the money at first and many other things that basically no other company will do, your opinions are really bad, developers like CDPR are the one we need in the industry, they deserve 100% forginess, when EA Games or Ubisoft are still there abusing and abandoning games
the devs do yes, which is what i literally said multiple times. the higher ups? nope. the publishers who rushed the dev team and made them have terrible working conditions? nope. look into it for yourself to see just how much the devs we’re screwed over :)
@@WHIKKEDD ah I see, yes thanks for replying 👍
@@eduardobrigas4177 of course! hope my reply didn’t come off rude in anyway, have a great day :)
