Either they did raise a son who makes bad decisions or the parents just think lowly of their sons good decision making skills.Either way, the girl is just an excuse for how poorly they see their child. Such a beautiful and sad song/storyline. I tear up because it reminded me of a recent neej neeg I heard. The neej neeg was about a blind Hmong girl and her love story. Her lover went home and she never heard from him or what happened to him until she is already in her old age. His parents didn't let him marry her. She was never married and is still alive today.
