This cover is brilliant. Some rock bands are too obviously taking the piss with these pop covers, but The Vaccines get the right balance of having fun and playing it straight. And the line about "find your peace of mind with some indie record that's much cooler than mine" probably resonates with the band, as being uncool is one of the main themes on their new album. It's a perfect fit, in my opinion.
