    The barista isn't visibly worse. It does a better job at consolidating or almost homogenizing the foam into the milk, also called "textured" milk. Textured milk is key for things like making latte art and for making a drink where the milk in the coffee became one thing. The aerocino in my opinion produces dry foam and a less pleasant mouth feel when combined with your drink.

      stan_sprinkle I’ve been following a few coffee channels and this comment is 100% accurate. The barista is making a milk consistency which is far superior to a “foamy milk” from the aeroccino. Try making latte art with the aeroccino - you get a foamy mess. The barista is more true (yet not perfect) to “steamed milk” you would find at a coffeeshop

      It’s just the temperature… the barista is hotter than 65c (around 68-69c) the aeroccino is around 62c. If the „milk“ is getting to hot it doesn’t froth anymore.
      Almond: around 60c
      Coconut/soy: around 65c
      Oat: around 62c
      However Nespresso doesn’t allow to adjust the temperature, so the Barista is useless for milk alternatives

    Use 2% milk and follow the fill line for the recipe you are using. I get a better quality foam and it foams so much I have foam left over in the bin. Hope this helps someone watching this video.

    I mean this dosent seem like a fair review. I went to a demo of the barista at my local nespresso shop. They specifically told us that its designed to be make european type beverages, meaning that the foam is not as thick. They told us that if we wanted to a SUPER foamy beverage we should choose the Latte Art settings and then they proceed to make foam on that setting, and the foam was amazing!
    Also the barista makes more than just foam, you can make moka and other beverages, even cold ones.

    • @barbarreviews3332
      @barbarreviews3332  5 лет назад +1

      They told you the Barista makes less foam which was the outcome of our test, what is not fair?

    • @carolinamedero5311
      @carolinamedero5311 5 лет назад +11

      @@barbarreviews3332 Because arlekiel is saying you can't make a fair comparison to the Aerocino if you didn't use the proper "Latte Art" setting on the Barista, which is what you do when you want the thicker foam.

    • @arlekiel
      @arlekiel 5 лет назад +12

      @@barbarreviews3332 Because you are stating that the Aerocino 3 is a better product than the barista. When you are not using the correct setting on the barista, the barista its main purpose is not just a foamer, but a coffee beverage maker.
      Its like putting a piece of chocolate, milk and a espresso shot at the Aeoroccino, and comparing the result with the Barista, when making a Moka... Of course the barista is going to be able to do that, since it is its purpose... and the Aeroccino would just make a mess. You are comparing different products....with different objectives. And even on the "who makes the best foam" you are using the wrong settings.

      @@arlekiel A cappuccino is defined as "a coffee made with heated milk and a thick mass of bubbles". We chose Cappuccino mode and it did not create a cappuccino, there was no thick foam. It doesn't make sense that I would have to chose Latte Art mode to make a cappuccino. A cappuccino is not a latte. It may have additional features but it can not do the basic European style coffee drinks.

    The 2 machines are not equal. I have several machines from Severin, Nespresso, and other brands. The bigger (Read wider) the cup the more product you have to use. I can almost guarantee that if the lady in the movie would increase the amount of milk from 100cc to approx 150-200 cc the Barista would do an excellent job. (Nespresso is having mothers days sales, in Portugal, they were sold for approx 70 euro (with the purchase of 300+ capsules)

    We have an aeroccino 4 and always use the less froth option, so this was a little biased to the aeroccino if you like loads of froth. In both milks, for me, the Barista won hands down, and that's what my next brother will be. But at is a good review, thank you.

    I have an aeroccino 3 and this is the second one. The first one stop working in less than a year. The second one is still working but does not make a lot of form as it use to do. It is same as you second test. This one has only 14 months. I have order the barista. I do not know the performance but it looks better. You can put it in dishwasher and that’s the greatest thin. Washing the old one was a nightmare.

    What a stupid review. Didn't even use the Barista machine properly. You can put ice in it for iced coffee creations and also chocolat chunks. Further more the review made no sense when you didn't switch the machine to latte to achieve a greater amount of foam.
    Noting also that the the aeroccino doesn't make the milk creamy and the foam is not only airy but cold. Barista machine definitely works and is worth the extra money if you know how to actually use the machine.

    • @barbarreviews3332

      A cappuccino is defined as a "coffee made with heated milk with a thick mass of bubbles" while a latte is "coffee made with heated milk and topped with a small amount of foam". We put the Barista in Cappuccino mode - it did not create a thick mass of bubbles as required to be called a cappuccino. It's rather silly if I have to put the Barista into Latte mode to create a cappuccino, how do I create a latte then? Whilst the Barista may have additional features such as making iced coffee, it struggles to do the basics that the Aeroccino does well and for much cheaper. The Aeroccino also does hot and cold foam, perfect for hot cappuccinos, lattes and cold coffee drinks.

      @@alfredthabiso for what it's worth, I disagree with the review. Quoting my other comment "The barista isn't visibly worse. Textured milk is key for things like making latte art and for making a drink where the milk in the coffee became one thing. Watch some videos on how to make textured milk, and when it's done right the foam in the liquid don't separate like you saw in the aerocino. The barista model is Nespresso's attempt to achieve the holy Grail: to create latte-art-capable textured milk at home without needing a thousand-dollar espresso machine. I'm not saying that it's perfect, but it's much closer than before

      Barista is better for making Latte art, Aerochino is for capucino. The foam from Aerochino is too much for latte, and it is not microfoam, so the bubbles are quite big in size

      You did not waste your money, my friend. Try to go deeper into the barista qualifications and you will be able to extract better results from your equipment.
      This equipment seeks to deliver results closer to what a professional barista delivers.
      Try visiting a specialized coffee shop and you will see that what you will be served is much closer to what your equipment gives you than what aero 3 gives you.
      To be honest, in a specialized coffee shop, that super froffy milk that aero 3 delivered would be thrown away. Aero 3 is spoiling milk, in the eyes of a barista.
      Trust me. You bought the best equipment. Invest now in increasing your knowledge about coffee by visiting good coffee shops. I believe it will be a very pleasant experience.
      take care
