    I use a short 40lb break away leader on the weight. Seems to help out when the rock monster grab the weight. Lose the weight keep the rig and line.

      Lots of shows out there. But its amazing how much BS goes with these other fishing shows.
      And some shows the guy never shuts up. Can't stand to watch them. It's like hea dude!!, all I wanted, was to watch some fish being caught and listen to the sound of the water hitting the boat and nature's sounds. NOT! the sound of his voice filling up the entire show, never shuten up.
      I love your sense of humor and your experiences on the water. Im 65 now and done my fair share of catching. I'm still catching. But I don't need to be flapping my jaws to do it.
      Miss your shows. Its the only one in town or on the West coast for that matter.

      Yeah I definitely agree about the flapping Jaws there's some other shows that I watch I wish they just shut up

      Yep. I have to push the Delete button. It's about 70% of them. While there going on and on how to rig up on steelies or Salmon. I'm like Hugh "I don't think so" click and delete.
      I think more are in it for the business rather than the meaning if it.

    Good job Rich! I always prefer to hold my rod and work it. Lost plenty of gear out there over the years

      Would have lost three setups

    Use a longer keader on your weight that is light lb test. All you'll loose is the weight. The weight can be anything. Rebar with a hole and a piece of wire to a snap swivel.

    I do mostly kokanee fishing but i like the two hook herring rig for tying my hooks up. its a little more work but i feel that the knot is less likely to come undone. i noticed trolling salmon with the slip hook that the cut plug got stuck on the hook and spun up my line pretty bad.

    • @Aaron-bo8mz
      @Aaron-bo8mz 3 года назад

      ohh man i was looking at your video a little more closely. I don't see any beads between your cut plug and your hook. For sure if you don't have any beads there your hook is gonna get stuck inside the plug and start spinning up.
