Yes, the no leg hi hat stands work extremely well with double pedals. The legs on a hi hat stand are what cause the problem when trying to add a double pedal to your setup. If you remove the legs from the stand, positioning the pedals becomes easy.
In the 80s, I come up with following: By modifying 4 tom to tube clamps, I made 2 double thumb wheel tube to tube clamps, I simply put 2 tube clamps together with a longer bolt. So I had 2 clamps which could rotate to any angle using a thumb wheel adjustment. My rack simply folded up into one piece for transportation. The rack was a standard, comprising of one cross piece and 2 uprights. I could mount 2 tom holders, and 3 cymbal holders on the cross piece, easily folding up. Sorted. I showed the guys from Gibraltar at a drum exhibition in the UK. They were amazed, it never occurred to them to convert the clamps..
Hey Brent, Thanks for all the videos!! I love when you go out and build kits! I'm a percussionist, and I currently use your top-of-the-line conga basket stands, they're awesome, as I'm a heavy hitter and they won't budge. I would love to see, however, a whole percussion set up that embraces this philosophy of "no legs". I Know it's a challenge, but I'd love to see it done. Three congas, timbales, cymbals, wind chimes accessory table, electronics... The works!
Gibraltar Rack Systems are just awesome!!!! I saw the Spider Rack & had to have it!!! A rack just opens up endless possibilities for ideas and set ups plus cleaned up my studio. Before I was using 7 cymbal, 1 snare & 1 tom stands!!! Tripod city the floor looked like an octopus!!! Now only 5 points of contact!!! Love it cant say enough good things about it!!!!
Since Hannah’s rack was designed with 2 rack toms in mind, you will need to place a double tom mount in the leg the 10” rack tom is currently mounted in, in order to mount an 8” as well. By doing this, you can mount the 8” and 10” on one mount, directly out of the front leg.
Thanks for commenting! We have a new series we'll be producing in the fall that will have lots of cool set up ideas. We did a custom spider rack build for ASAP Rocky drummer JT Rollerson and filmed a mini doc on the build. I posted the video above here in the video response box. thx for watching!
Yes! You can go to our website, the link is in the description box, and get the full catalogue. There is an ebook with everything but I recommend you download the pdf of the ebook (icons on the bottom of the page) as it's too hard to read on the website. Then you can order the parts from any authorized Gibraltar dealer. Thanks for your question!
Is there anywhere I can email to show what my setup is and see how you guys best recommend to set it up with the various racks and parts? It's something I'd probably even pay for. Serious inquiry. Thanks in advance
im looking into creating my own custom rack for my Gretsch Catalina 7pc kit. I want to mount my mounted toms with the setup you used for Hannah Ford. How can I incorporate the 8in tom with my 10 and 12?
We have an endorsement application on our website that needs to be filled out and sent in to us. This can be found under the Contact us section. We will also need to see a tour itinerary, along with a bio.
I need help 5 cymbals a snare stand double peddle a high-hat stand a 2 toms one floor tom and a set of 3 roto toms i cant find any place to put the roto toms where i can play them comfortable help
If I deploy a legless hi-hat stand and a legless snare drum stand on my rack, can I also fit in there a double-bass drum pedal? Is there enough room? Is that what the stealth bent bar is for? that its bent to allow the driveshaft between the two pedals to fit?
Keith Franceschiello yes you will actually have more room to add a double pedal than using legless stands than using stands with tripods. Yes the bend in the stealth connector bar was designed for a double pedal
2 people like to eat their icecream from 20ft away... its like those building blocks as a kid. Im putting some cash aside for random gibraltar hardware... SWEET!
Hi BRENT, you didnt go as far as i expect, take SC-AE200 as cymbal No leg base and put the SC-AE100 to 9606NL, take a SC-AE300 to 9707NL-UA, put on top of the SC-AE200 a quad 6713QP........you have 3 foot print on the ground........
interstatemusicDOTcom is how i do it. i plan and map out my setup, copy down part numbers, and do a part number search on the website. then i just add to cart and order it. i find myself typically more knowledgable than the sales people too....
michael hembree if you plan to use a stand, the 9813DP stand has a heavy duty base that will support the weight of a floor Tom. You can flip the drum upside down and use the floor tom leg bracket to mount on the L rod. The resonant head will become your batter side.
No offense but if i was in a wear house with every thing your company made i would be able to set up my kit real easy how do you do it when you have to depend on sales people that are not familiar with every part you sell proberly dont have all on hand how can i map out what i need and then get it in one shot i can figure out what i want but im not up with every little piece your company makes is there a way to get a full catalogue and order directly
U choose to be a drummer than deal with the work I say. Here in Hawaii I play drums for a reggae group and it ain't that hard just to assemble and in assemble your set😒 c'mon don t be lazy and just deal with the work that comes to being a drummer.

I actually watched that video a few times. And I love it. it was a sweet set up!
brent is my spirit animal
I love you Brent. Just discovered your videos, thank you. Am just about to buy two SCBCSA. Hopefully the answer to my dreams

Love the 6609NL. I desperately need one to go with my side stealth rack.
Agreed...
Gibraltar should make a video with Brent with the spider rack. like building it or showing it off or showing some cool things one can do with it.

so much stuff so much fun I love Gibraltar drum racks
good video is what I was expecting really helped me and assemble it as you say in the video thank you..
This is what I been looking for.
I figured that, just didn't know if there would be a particular tom mount you would recommend.
GENIUS!!! I am getting me some of this

All I see is the future struggle of getting the hardware bag out the car😂😂😂😂😂
4:07 FINALLY!
Brilliant!
Do the clamps come with the no leg high-hat stand, or do you buy those separately?

is the no leg hi hat stand compatible with double pedals?
Hey Brent, what do i need to do in order to become a Gibraltar artist? Not joking or anything I legitimately want to know.
im looking into creating my own custom rack for my Gretsch Catalina 7pc kit. I want to mount my mounted toms with the setup you used for Hannah Ford. How can I incorporate the 8in tom with my 10 and 12?
Do you have a legless version of the flat base hardware? (hehe)
I'm pretty sure the Gibraltar SC-DP would be a good mount for a double tom mount.

I haven’t seen a video on the GCFSS floating snare stand.

the snare drum still has a leg. what about options for complete legless snare?
www.musicstore.de/en_GB/GBP/Drum-Workshop-Snare-Holder-f-Drum-Racks-DWCPRKSBL/art-DRU0022998-000
I connected my hi hat to a side wing on my rack and it caused all kinds of vibration and noise.
A lot of super and ultra right there. Neat mini-rack thing, though.
man i have a legless hihat stand and honestly it stand up fine not attached to anything because the pedal base is so wide and thick.
Until the drunk bass player bumps into it with his headstock xD
@@BlazonStone bold of you to assume my drumset has ever left the house
I did all the legless on my gear minus my snare cuz well how my pedals are set up I can't use a legless snare stand
I need to know how to place a floor tom on a stand

0:12 wouldn't it be 3 legs at a time?
that takes even more floor space to me though
No offense but if i was in a wear house with every thing your company made i would be able to set up my kit real easy how do you do it when you have to depend on sales people that are not familiar with every part you sell proberly dont have all on hand how can i map out what i need and then get it in one shot i can figure out what i want but im not up with every little piece your company makes is there a way to get a full catalogue and order directly
So basically a rack...
Jesse Cortez right lol
As high as i need?.. Interesting..
attaching that snare to the one cymbal stand seems incredibly unstable imo. I'd rather leave it on a snare stand or attach it to a rack.
for all you cutters out there
Seems complicated
Now you need a no leg drum stool.
Overkill .
What if us drummers want all of the legs on a set up so when we do shows the public can say “ oooo this guy have a bass drum trigger, he’s a cheater”.
Good in principal, but three times the hardware and way too complicated to set up.
Geez, was this video first posted on April Fools.
what working drummer wants to schlep around a freaking rack
bottom line, Yamaha HexRack System rules!!
Like to play with racks? Haha
U choose to be a drummer than deal with the work I say. Here in Hawaii I play drums for a reggae group and it ain't that hard just to assemble and in assemble your set😒 c'mon don t be lazy and just deal with the work that comes to being a drummer.
Or just use a standard drum kit with stands and not completely over-complicate things! This is ridiculous! And pretty pricey I bet.....
Too complicated!
This is for people who are too lazy to put their set together and take it apart😒
