- Here it is - the finished tablecloth, so beautiful with its rosy pink buds. Many thanks to the original stitcher who started this pretty piece. I have loved finishing it and look forward to many happy cups of tea enjoyed with it in my sunny spot in the garden.
Thanks to @ValitasCreativeDesigns for her new Australian open collaboration, #OpShopCrafter where we share what we have found for our crafting from the op shops, secondhand shops, online op shops and social media etc.
This time I visited in person:
The Hawkesbury Remakery hawkesburyremakery.com.au/
I used the Hugs'n Kisses method for the English paper pieced clamshells. I thank @helenshugsnkisses for this wonderful method. You can buy the iron on papers here wequilt.com.au/haby/hnk-haby-...
I carefully selected elements that would go together. I felt so happy to come away with items that would go together to make one project, rather than a collection of random items to sit in the cupboard. Don't get me wrong - I love stocking the crafty cupboard 🤣 but it felt good to come home, excited to start stitching and to use the items straight away.
Thanks for watching, commenting and subscribing. Thank you to all the lovely viewers who take time to comment. Having you as part of our stitching community is what makes it special.😊 I love to hear what you are working on and other great crafting videos to watch.
I think the crochet edge would be just what it needed to finish it. I just love this tablecloth. It’s so sweet. ❤️
Oh thank you! I like your thinking about the edge. 😊
It is as lovely as I expected Leanne🤗 I think a crocheted edge would be pretty, as Christine said though, if you feel up to it. It would be lovely to think that the person who started the centrepiece would see this video….you have really respected their work. 😊Thanks 🌸🌼🌻🦋
Thanks Trish, I love feeling the connections that the arts create between people that endure through time. 😊
Just Beautiful Leanne and the music so suits your happy stitching time. Huge Hugs from NZ xx
Yay, thank you! I picked the music I like listening to, when I wish to create calm.☺️
The fabric is so pretty Leanne❣️looking forward to watching. Best wishes for healing. Trish x 🦋🌻
Thank you so much, Trish!😊
So pretty Leanne 🥰 I was so intrigued by your pop out sewing box too, how awesome is that!
Thank you very much. I was about to tag you in the sewing box video but I see you found it! 😊
Loved watching and glad to see you using clamshells (happy to inspire rediscovering old supplies). Would love to see a crochet edge if you feel like adding. Cheers, Christine
Thanks Christine, always so grateful for your generous sharing with our community here and the inspiration it generates. 😊
I will enjoy watching this video, Leanne.
Thanks Lyn! 😊
I knew you’d make something beautiful. And it’s so satisfying to watch the pen disappear. Maybe pin the lace on and see how it looks before committing.
Thank you! am glad you enjoyed the disappearing pen. I wasn’t going to chop it in the edit, but I love seeing it too! 😊
Yes, add the lace. Will finish it beautifully.
I think the lace has the win! Getting out my needle and thread immediately and stitching it on! 😊
Look forward to watching Leanne 🤗
Yay! Thank you!😊
So very pretty but maybe the crochet trim would add that special final piece.
Thanks for your thoughts. I always wonder if I am going too far and when to stop so I really appreciate other opinions. 😊
