I don't think that when they originally threw him out they realized they would be making history Dave was given the opportunity to not only influence Metallica's music cuz Cliff absolutely loved his guitar playing and still implemented his sound in the next two albums that were made by Metallica after he left. but Dave was also given the opportunity to give us one of the greatest heavy metal bands that stands honestly shoulder-to-shoulder with Metallica in every way and influence a hell of a lot of other bands

Dave mustaine is and will always be a pos. He was kicked out of metallica for creating megadeth while in metallica. He always thought of himself as the singer songwriter of the band.
Look up the interview with cliff burton and kirk on a radioshow, where cliff states that dave was kicked because of megadeth.
I still dont understand why this has not been made more public, perhaps metallica felt bad for the dude knowing dave is just a total narcissist.

I listened it couple of times and still don't get it why it is so praised.. guitars sound thin like it's "kill em all v2.0". A few cool riffs on this album, but from compositional point of view, it does not compete even with Ride the Lightning, better than Kill em All tho. Tornado of Souls is the only song that is awesome from the start to end, the rest - a messy collection of riffs, cool riffs tho not saying it's bad but I just don't get it why this album is so overrated. The most overrated thrash album of all time IMO.

As a huge fan of both bands there is no doubt that Megadeth is just on another level, Mustaine is truly an underrated genius, the shit that he plays while singing the lyrics he sings is pretty insane. Just go and listen to Killing is My Business and Business is Good and Peace Sells But Whos Buying. Without a doubt one of if not the pioneer of thrash metal, and not to mention how much more consistent METAL albums they have, not only that but how many of those albums are good music as well, but metallica is more popular and not known for being a metal band as much as everyone thinks they are. Metallica sold out and never went back to their metal roots, and hard wired is just a worse death magnetic, it’s a fucking joke. Megadeth sold out and went back to their metal roots. Also, the description says "Melody or Technique", where as both bands have both of those for sure.
Look :
1. Quantity over quality bro
2. Megadeth is more technical
3. Vermillion picked great Deth Riffs, but shit from Metallica, Leper, Orion, For Whom could've been replaced with riffs like Damage Inc, of wolf and man, and justice for all, the struggle within, the intro to fade to black, disposable heroes and Dyers Eve for example
4. Metallica made Metal popular, so thats a win for us all, because a lot of bands came from them
5. To sum up, As fan of Both bands, but mostly Metallica fan, both bands are great and there is no point in fighting

Megadeth sound soft compared to Metallica. That is putting it nicely.
It's because of the tone of the riffs. Metallicas riffs are very heavy and evil sounding, megadeth goes for a more happyish sounding technical and groovy feel

Megadeth has much more complex riffs, but Metallica I think has a more original thrashy sound. They are equal. I still enjoy Metallica more though.
