"This completes today's programming on WVTV, which operates on Channel 18. WVTV, with studios and transmitter located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is owned and operated by the Gaylord Broadcasting Company. Programs telecast by this station may not be used for any other purpose except exhibition at the time of their broadcast on receivers in places where no admission, cover or mechanical operating charges are made. WVTV operates on an assigned frequency of four-hundred ninety-four to five-hundred megahertz. We now close our programming day with the National Anthem."
Looks like the technical crew had to scramble to find a record of the national anthem to substitute for the film breaking or not playing. The perils of late night TV, I guess.
This version of the Lord’s Prayer was also used by KTUL in Tulsa, OK. It was accompanied by a film of a local Indian chief reciting the prayer in sign language.
WVTV was WUHF WXIX and WOKY. Operated on Channel 19 for awhile before dropping down to channel 18. I was born n raised in Milwaukee my first 18 years to know this.
How can I get a copy of the Lord's prayer with sound and music . That was a definite catch on Saturday nights after Shock theatre and such in Milwaukee.
Hey Madman! I was wondering do you have any clips of the bumpers with the blonde lady and mascot for WVTV? It’s a really intense memory for me and will not get out of my head as I get older. If you can help me thanks so much
@@TheTVMadman Oh Ok, Is there any way I can get the footage with the audio, This is actually pretty good I have been looking for this for a long time I am glad you keep a recording of this.
Another great one! I lived in the Chicago suburbs and would watch her on clear nights when I could get the signal back in the late 70s.

Apparently, the station could not find a suitable film of our SSB, so,they had to settle for this audio recording.
24:52 WHAT?!
Susan Wirth, aka the Queen of Ink, died in 2017.
Good one. Guess I am scared of some sign off videos :)
Including from July 1984
Sounded like Susan also did the movie tag at the top of the clip--I presume live, since she was definitely there for the newscast.

This version of The Lord's Prayer is by The Robert Wagner Chorale.
I recall back then when at the end of the shows at the late night at 2pm we had National anthem now tv goes on all the time !!
Oh, just for that. Thanks!

Back when they read from a sheet of paper and not a teleprompter

The SSB was deleted in 01/1984. I cannot post that, i don't want to get a CGS!
The 21st was a Saturday. Hulk Hogan won the WWF Championship on Monday the 23rd, two days later.
The temperature makes me glad I live in the Sun Belt. The Lord's Prayer is almost inaudible.
It is completely muted. The owner of the recording is very protective of their copyright
Poor WVTV...
got her charles nelson riley goggles on.
Love it!

How there is no volume when they are singing the lord's prayer?
It says in the description. I would have to take the whole thing down if I left that audio in.
@@TheTVMadman Oh Ok, Is there any way I can get the footage with the audio, This is actually pretty good I have been looking for this for a long time I am glad you keep a recording of this.
I will respond back when I have uploaded it somewhere else. Stay tuned!
@@TheTVMadman Ok Thank you, I will keep a look out for your reply, Thanks alot.
Just checking in with you on the video.
WMVS 10 Milwaukee - Opening/Nat’l Anthem July 23, 2012
Is it possible for you to post the Lord's prayer film with sound on a separate video?
+Matthew Arce unfortunately, it would be detected and taken down no matter how I put it up, so to avoid that, no.
Do you have more wvtv sign offs besides the other one you posted?
+The Cage Master I've posted everything I've got so far, but there's always a chance there's another one in our very extensive library.
The TV Madman oh nice!
What is that name about song about lord prayer?
If you listen more carefully, you could actually hear The Lord’s Prayer.
