This song came from the Syriac Orthodox Church... Marthoma Church never used these hymns until the past 8 to 10 years.
I don't think the Mar Thoma Church claimed anywhere that they are owners of the song.

@@antiochsuryoyo5118 Doubtful, it was used 14 years back when Joseph Mar Thoma was enthroned as well.
I think it has always been used, just that advent of social media have brought the Churches into a transparent light..which is why I believe you have not heard it before that.
Dude I used to be part of the marthoma church and in my 30 years of being there, I never heard them use this hymn. All these are new from the last 10 years. I only heard British hymns
@@abeljoshua170 I agree with the person who posted the initial comment. In my 30 years of being marthomite, I never heard this song and none of my family members have either. Marthoma only adopted this maybe within the last 10 yrs and probably when your late metropolitan was enthroned (could have been the 1st time). But other marthomites know that this hymn is relatively new to your denomination. This new "Syriac phenomenon", in your denomination is relatively prevalent within the last 10 years; it's a "cherry-picking" of items from the original Syriac church aka the Universal Syriac Orthodox Church of Antioch. Nothing to do with social media.
