The sound & the image of this single encapsulated punk at the time! The ultimate single tracks! Impossible to replicate the sound of this!! People try haha
One of the first eps i bought at 14yo, ended up in a finnish dbeat grindcore band playin the last ever gig at Lepakko (rip) not a nightmare at lepakko after all.....that was half a life ago.
THEY STARTED OFF IN 77 BUT YOU ARE WRIGHT IT WASN'T TILL THE EARLY 80s THAT THE MUSIC INDUSTRY GOT A KICK IN THE BALLS EVERYONE THOUGHT WORLD WAR 3 HAD BROCK OUT IN A VERY NICE WAY 🤣 ☠ 👍 ☠ 🤪 ☠ 👍
I bought this EP when it first came out. It’s great to be able to find it on RUclips. And let’s not forget : “War’s no Fairytale Guns and Bombs aren’t Fuckin’ Toys!”
I remember the first time I heard 'Fight Back' in 1981. It felt like the top of my head had burst open. I'd never heard anything like it. 30 years later and it's sill 'fuck me'.
Even though the singles are readily available, there are a lot of tracks that are great and get overlooked, which are difficult to find anywhere. So, it's fantastic that you are sharing what you have with the world. I hope that more comprehensive re-issues of Discharge's back catalogue will happen someday, for those of us who were a little too young the first time around...
this one touches something in me, I can feel rising unstoppable anger in me ‼️ I want to crush everything, that we realized world we live in not good at all, not better at all‼️ hail discharge🤘🤘🤘
It's got to be the most brutal music to come out in1980!? There were a few doing it that I know of and maybe many more that I don't know ,but in '80 it's seems like punk definitely was slipping into hardcore but I think 95% of the it seems were still in the punk rock &roll mode with a lot more breaking that mold with great hard music but for 1980 these guys seem to be way ahead of the pack by at least a year?? Though not my era I didn't even know a punk rock music until 84-85 I've spent a lot of years but still can't seem to catch up to the current!

Absolutely Feral ! Tremendous... Considering how young they were.
6:51, 5 song. Raw groove in a simple manner. what you need more? Discharge was outstanding, and real music makers!
I have all the 7" originals of Discharge. I'm happy to play this in alternatives club

After all these years, still BRILLIANT.
Thanks for sharing this...
I don't mind metal records reaching nearly 40 mins to an hour long but I definitely prefer my punk records to be less than 8 minutes long.
Masterpiece.
First song sounds like "Born to be wild" riff sped up and shortened.
Heads up on that 🤜🤘 🤛
