I've had this song playing in my head for at least a week now. Just heard that TR passed away suddenly at home on Christmas morning. I hope his beautiful song plays on forever. RIP💔

Tony liberated me and my music. I was a "folkie" who loves bluegrass music too and when I heard the first New South Album I knew there was a place for my music to live too.

Tony did a lot to introduce bluegrass fans down South... to the music and songs of one of our greatest Canadian songwriters: The one and only Gordon Lightfoot. And this is a good example of how well he interpreted his songs.

Well done !!! This is now my second favourite version of Lightfoot's song. (Gord's original version with Red Shea, and John Stockfish still rules) Belefonte, McLaughlin, and the rest of the pack have their place too. Cheers.
