I saw this about 7 times on social media and it got me so hyped for the new season before I realized it wasnt an edit from a trailer but fan animation... I think I will end up underwhelmed when this scene gets actually animated in the show bc the bar is so high now
@@theajoestar I personally believe that talent only matters at the upper echelons, Some people are born to be good at a certain thing and you can't really compete, but this level ain't exactly a starry night drawing, other than the hand animation, everything is kinda crude when compared to other artists, I'm pretty sure it won't take much, unless you are learning from scratch
This reminds me of the breakdown of spiderverse, like how they combined the 3d models with 2d textures and expression lines and stuff. Even calling you talented would be an understatement.
The fact that this is arguably on par with Kimetsu no Yaiba's animation even though he is the only one making it is *crazy* didn't think i would subscribe to anyone anytime soon, i was wrong.
i genuinely think that the 3d is implemented better than for example the fish that gyokko used. now granted, this is only one scene and kny had a whole season to take care of, but still, impressive

Ok ngl normally I instantly notice 3d no matter how good it is but I had to double check this time. I didn't even realize the hands were 3d. Amazing work! Btw it's easy to tell if something is 3d due to movements and camara work.
It looks like he used fractal noise, vector blur, turbulent displace, posterize, colorama or tritone (some sort of way to add color), and then findedges for the outlines.
@@ypsomfloo he said he made that in blender and I assume he used one of the textures, to replace fractal noise and then color ramp with emission to give it such a nice look, the really hard part was probably the fire animation itself
