    Not all drivers are enthusiasts. Ultra reliable machines are good for those who treat cars as appliances.

    My 4yrs old Gixxer SF still rides like a new bike and not a single rattling noise from the body. If it was a bajaj or hero then i would be listening to jhun jhuna after 2yrs for sure. Japanese products are always better than Indian products. It's just the machine and only machine, no gimmick feature.

      I'm completely with you. It's embarrassing to admit, but I was a huge Bajaj fanboy till I made the (now) catastrophic mistake of buying the 2020 Bajaj CT110. This stupid machine makes more noise than a bloody JCB going down the road at full chat!!!
      Currently in the process of shortlisting my next bike and no surprises here......I'm almost ready to buy the 2025 Honda Unicorn. Why the Unicorn? Simple. I bought an Activa for my sister back in 2001 when it had just hit the market. When my sister got married and moved out, we then gifted it to an employee of ours who uses it to this day and keeps us updated about all repairs being made (if any). That thing has covered over 2 lakh kilometres till date and runs butter smooth ❤ lesson learnt, fanboyism can take a backseat now. The Unicorn it is!! Have been advised by our dealer to wait for the updated version to hit the floors so I can ride it once before plonking the money down.

      @@vikramwadhwani6174 the new unicorn would be a great choice. In the market of 125cc as well I see a lot of people buying Raider, Xtreme 125 but nobody is looking at the SP125. My frnd has a Raider and that thing vibrates like a bullet. Just to get the exhaust note right the got the whole bike wrong. It's just unbearable to ride on straight roads. Bike wobbles at 80+ kmph and the body panels and logos have already started coming off after 1.5yrs 😂 it's just a mess. Desh bhakt bano but Andh bhakt bilkul mat bano.

    • @vikramwadhwani6174
      @vikramwadhwani6174 55 минут назад +1

      @soumyakdas2157 the Raider was on my radar for a while 😁 but heard more than a few horror stories from owners here in Bangalore. So off the list it went! I didn't consider the SP125 because it was again too close to the present bike I ride. And now that I have a lot of free time during the weekends, I plan on longer rides so a 150/160cc seems like a prudent choice to me. Not to mention that I don't have very deep pockets right now either. The Unicorn ticks many of the boxes in my list.

    I had a 2016 RC 390. The first one with slipper clutch, I had 3 specific issues with the bike -
    1. The display suddenly used to go blank on certain occasions after about 1.5 yrs and about 15k kms.
    2. I was going on a 200-300km ride but then decided to go back home midway. 500 m from my home, I saw the low oil pressure warning. Took it to the SVC only to realise that the piston rings were shot. Again replaced under warranty.
    3. The gear shifters attachment had its teeth worn out way too soon. So the bike suddenly stopped shifting gears.
    All three happened within the warranty period.
    Those early 390s had some issues but I think for 2.4 lacs on road back then it was stellar value.
    I had to sell it since I wasn’t in the country and it wasn’t being used but I regret that decision even today.

    Reliability is not just about how long it will last, reliability is about if I drive from kashmir to kanyakumari non stop there won't be a chance of breakdown. That's where I would put my bets on Toyota or Honda. My car won't die on me between 2 services. I don't think any other manufacturer can beat Honda and Toyota in that kind of reliability.

    Guys, please make a video on various things to check on you vehicle which requires maintenance, for e.g. on KTMs you need to check a lot of stuff regularly which the service centre people just overlook and don't pay attention because they have keep moving the vehicles. Also, it's very difficult to find good genuine mechanics outside of service centres, It's awesome how Shumi gave an insight on how he maintains his Ferocitas

    Dear Shumi, Honda Highness is a gem of a machine. I have bought it twice. It’s a long story I’ll tell later. But for now, c’mon, let’s appreciate good motorcycles. If we don’t, they will stop making good motorcycles and then again we will have to fall back on substandard RE bikes. I have previously owned Bullet and Himalayan. And it’s unfair to compare Africa Twin with Highness. Look at the price difference!

It was so frustrating back then but now i have Aprilia sr125 and that thing is so solid be it pot holes or uneven unfinished road it just handles those like a boss. The rattling noise is near to zero. I feel like I have bought the right scooter.

    I’ve been a KTM owner for 11 years and have clocked 60K kilometers on it. Honestly, it’s not that great. My feelings toward it are like having a standard office-issued Dell laptop-it gets the job done, but that’s about it.
    Before this, I owned a 2001 CBZ, and it demanded much less maintenance.
    One persistent issue with KTM bikes is the engine heating problem. In stop-and-go traffic, when the radiator overheats, it causes the water pump’s rubber gasket seal to melt. This leads to coolant mixing with the engine oil. I’ve had to replace this seal at least 6 to 7 times. It’s a recurring problem that just can’t be overcompensated for.

      What Do you think duke 250 of gen 3 ?? Does it has the same problems??

    • @jeanbaptiste-d4y
      @jeanbaptiste-d4y 16 минут назад

      I don’t know, bro; I’m no expert. But the Duke has been my office commuter since 2014, and it’s the only bike I’ve been riding since then. It has let me down many times-strange error codes, engine overheating that burns out the alternator and stops charging the battery, and other odd issues. It’s even left me stranded in critical situations.
      I don’t mind spending money on servicing, but I expect the bike to work reliably. Even after a full, complete service, there’s no guarantee it won’t fail the very next day. I bought this bike based on glowing automotive reviews, but honestly, the overall ownership experience hasn’t been enjoyable for me so far.

    It's been maintince free till date as I get my car serviced well within manufacturers recommendations and change the parts such spark plugs, Break pads filters etc as they recommend.. ❤
    Yes, I do use Premium fuel once ever 2 or 3 full tanks, maintain tyre pressure, fuel up before it hits the reserves..
