The i3 quit working because there was just too much rice on the bin. That caused it to not empty, since the metal contacts weren't contacting the charging port. But it was full, so it didn't continue. Cleaning off the rice from the bases prevents this issue so the robots don't get lost.
Hello everyone. If you could give this videa a like even before it starts I would really appreciate it. This is a continuation of the 50 pounds of rice video.
❤Was lmpressed! On Friday, l ordered the iRobot J7+ as a replacement of my iRobot 980 which will be moved to the 3rd level of my house and my iRobot 500 will go down to the garage. I will control the 2nd and 3rd level robots using the Alexa Amazon Echo Dot 5th generation for voice control. Total cost was $335.00 + $35.00 for the vacuum and the Alexa as both were on sale. Only 1 old 400 iRobot used for parts bit the dust a couple / few years ago. They have been work horses. Bought the first Roomba when they first came out. Killed only one which was a used bot. I cross my fingers on the J7+ which self cleans. Love your tests as they put this company to the test.😅😊😅❤
Hey, I have a j7+ and would like the bigger battery that comes with the new j7+ combo. Do you know how I could buy one? Are they available for purchase?
Ģet delivery of the J7+ on the 15th of July. Thinking of the M6 for the tile floors. How would you rate the M6 on a scale of 1 to 100 ?😊 Thank you in advance of your answer.
Same here, the S9 was probably the best only vacuum robot ever created. Sad they couldn’t find a proper replacement to continue it’s legacy. The 10 max is a joke sadly.
I just bought the J7 combo rumba and I really do like it. What are your thoughts? Is it just having a pretty good vacuum cause I got it on sale because of Veterans Day.
Hi Adam, today was a Firmware-update for the roomba combo j7 released. It seems the Combo is cleaning more properly. I don´t find any notes. Perhaps you can try a new Test and perhaps notice some advantages. Thank you and have a nice time.
actually youre right the dirtbin sensor AND the dual brush system expires next year May! Hopefully we can finally get some better competetiors with those patents gone.
Actually I will mention there is some Roborock Patent involving 2 rollers as well as a trademark saying "DuoRoller" and "DuoRoller Riser" so there is hope they will add a bin full sensoer
I robot may be giving the game away but these are tanks and just will not quite. My 959 sold by Costco years ago is still doing its job the battery was replaced twice but still going strong.
We should start some cult to tell Roborock to add some full bin detection without infringing on iRobot’s Patent. iRobot uses an acoustic sensor in the brush bar and if the robot detects a lot of sound for a while, it will go back and empty. One way to bypass the patent is for Roborock to add an internal scale in the robot under the dust bin. If it exceeded a set number of pounds, it would go back and empty. The obstacle avoidance camera up front will identify what debris it’s picking up and intelligently adjust the max weight. If it doesn’t see any debris, it will stay at its default weight (which in theory would be low because dust isn’t that heavy).
The acoustic sensor behind the rollers is the "dirt sensor" that tells Roombas to go over a spot multiple times; that's not how Roombas detect a full bin. The bin sensor is a (presumably infrared) beam that shines across the entrance of the bin.
These are always hilarious! But I'm going to make a rebuttal video next week because you always poo poo on shark and praise iRobot and I bet my shark could vacuum 20 lb of rice! (Or I'll be eating my words) The battle is on! shark versus iRobot except mine is going to be one shark, (it'll be a smaller room cuz I have a hooptie house) but I bet it'll get it done!
@@AdamsReviews video is out! ruclips.net/video/skKtUar42oo/видео.html You were probably right roombas are the only ones that should be doing this, what a pain in the ass this was! 😂😂
Executive Summary: Even with a swarm of robots vacuuming the same area many times, there is still rice on the floor. After all these years and billions of dollars invested in research and development, there is still no replacement for manual vacuuming. Such a simple task and such a major failure. Does Elon have to do everything???
I dare Adams tech reviews to tape markers on a robot vacuum so it will draw on the floor so you know exactly where the robot vacuum has cleaned it kinda make a mess but it will be fine because you can always spend money to fix and clean the floor and if you are out of money you can always be a homeless person or steal money from your friends or neighbours and I subscribed to your RUclips channel so please do it.

A patent that expires cannot be renewed. The patent expires after 20 years since they added the patent
