I keep toying about getting the installation pliers but have reservations about how useful they are. I love a set of croppers, used CK for quite a few years, the ttc before that but can’t seem to find them about much
Ah, haven’t been to an electric Center for years. My main wholesaler stocks CK so normally get them at next to nothing prices. Started using the facom protwists yesterday after watching your review, they are a cracking set of drivers. I’m now ordering another set as back ups, decent price, got them for £28
Those TTC croppers are the ones, I’ve had so many sets of those over the years! Great set of cutters you can do anything with them first & second fix, the will do flex and all sorts. Like you say mind as soon as you do a screw with them…they are Donald ducked 🤣 The Knipex combi pliers I love mine I did have two sets one for first fix and one in my second fix bag but someone has chored the first fix set the bastards😂 Want another set but £50 is a bit dear for something I don’t really need I sets off haha
CK Combicutter3 Max are my go to cutter / stripper for most things, with those NWS cutters for bigger stuff like meter tails. The Combicutters are great for everyday stuff with a little anvil in between the grips for folding over, and the screw shear gets used a lot more than you'd think as well. cheers for the vid mate
@@ElectricianTV - The small amount of VDE tools i own are all CK inc. dextro drivers & the excellant combicutter 3 plus the redline combi. , snipe & cable cutters - Although not a sparky i have worked in general maintenance for over 30 years - I now stick to quality brands after binning a lot of accumulated crap i had over the years - Using/buying now is knipex , ck , bahco , stanley (older-england) , fat-max (france) for "dirty" work & some wiha , etc. - just sub"d mate :)
@@ccmogs5757 Nice one as an electrician I’m a big fan of CK tools. But they always seem to be overlooked by other brands I think it’s because they’re available in every wholesaler.
@@ElectricianTV - True , one example is the Combicutter 3 which more people should look @ when after a stripping cutters :) well done on the football mate , i"m a cardiff city fan :)
I’ll probably find out over the 23 years I’ve worked with other electricians working probably about 200 the other electricians I would say is 90% of them don’t use Side cutters
