I'm in the UK and speaking from just the economic POV....
I would say, in INDIA If you are earning 1.25L+per month as single or 2.5L+ as couple or if you are able to easily save 50k-100k per month (as per your situation) then don't come to UK. (everything after taxes)
you may slightly save more in UK, but you have family in India...
Yes work-life balance is definitely a lot better in the UK.
That's just my opinion. I don't have plan to stay in UK for more than 5 years.
everyone's situation and preferences are different.

it is not one should move or not based on the earnings in India; i say by moving there not only one is settling with his family but also his children likely to settle well in UK. For that matter many future generations will settle well, as they will have access to good job market that offers a better pay !!!Tough one has a decent job in here, he should struggle to find good school and pay a lot of fee, good hospitals, good place to live without crime and pollution, excessive competition (0.1% intake) after all these if once will secure a job there will be a toxic work culture - work for 70 hours, 90 hours that force ppl leave automatically or will lead to health issues!!! Next generation can't handle the lifelong struggle. If you don't migrate, your next generation will not forgive you. They may or many not ask for ancestral property, but for sure, they ask why have you placed me in this lifelong competition and struggle? why you did not migrate?

Having seen so many of my visa sponsored friends get laid off from big companies, I feel its a risk, especially with a family. If you are alone, its worth trying to come here for a good role. But probably not as a student.

Hi Ritwik, I've got offer from Bayes Business School and the University of Edinburgh for Masters in FinTech. I'm confused it I should join Bayes as it's location is London and its course work is practical and hands on, while Edinburgh ranks higher internationally, but networking options might not be much. I've been hearing that UK is not worth it anymore for a masters, that students are finding it difficult to get jobs. It is that scary? Any advice you can give would greatly be appreciated.

Hey! That is a really small gap. She can easily negotiate that with her employer.
Either they can increase the salary. Or if they don’t agree to do that, she can ask if she can contribute 1000 to the cost of sponsorship herself and in return they increase her salary by 1000.

The issue is, net immigration has increased in last few years in the UK and now, govt wants to control that for various reasons, so the rules are much stricter now than ever, if you really want to migrate, consider NZ, Aus. If you still want to come to UK, look for Jobs on Gov.uk/jobs
