Hello. Just so you know, TWICE is 9 members.
One is missing due to her neck injury and anxiety.
As some others inform, Twice is 9 members group, but one is sick...

They are missing a member in this performance so that’s why something may be off with the formations. Jeongyeon is taking a break from performing

I felt like he was actually impressed on how they positioned themselves given the fact that Jeongyeon was missing. I love how they could adjust with ease no matter the situation. Here's to reviewing "Cry for me" next! 🤣

Twice i can't stop me choreographer is the same choreographer as beyonce single ladies, also one member is on hiatus so the choreo doesnt look complete

The formations are empty it’s because one member (Yoo Jeongyeon) is not in the choreography due to health issues. We miss you jeongyeon!

Her name is jihyo, a main vocalist but people who don't know them always mistaken her to be in the dance line and over the past comebacks starting from fancy people were really attracted and focused on her exactly the same reason you have said. She's really giving her 200% in every performance she did even in rehearsal. I should say, she's the hidden main dancer of the group
As others have pointed out, the one giving the extra 5% is Jihyo, Twice's leader. As someone who takes her leadership duties seriously, she sets the bar and expectations. If she were to half-ass it, the others might feel it's OK to half-ass their performance. But if she goes full out, the others will have to keep up or their performance will stand out on camera - and not in a good way.
Leadership by example, one of the many reasons I love Jihyo.
same with momo!! her energy motivates the others to go hard out too, an underrated but another reason why momo is the best female dancer in kpop 😆

I haven't watched the full video but the reason you were confused during the first M formation is because one of the members, Jeongyeon, is missing. She's probably gonna be the fourth in the left half of the formation.
Hi man One member is missing there due to mental health and she is still resting as of now..🙁 I recommend their “BETTER” Dance practice vid the choreography of TWICE “BETTER” is one of the best...and BETTER is their recent Japanese cb

the choreography is created for 9 person but in the dance practice video they only performed it with only 8 members as one of the members Jeongyeon is currently on hiatus due to health issue...perhaps later once she returned to Twice they will make another "complete" dance practice video for this song...it has happened before in 2019 with their song Feel Special where they had 2 different dance practice videos as Mina was also on hiatus that year...

Some of the formations on this video might seem weird because they are actually 9 and the original choreo probably was made for the 9 members, they just did some ajusts so it can look good even when missing one member

maybe some of the line of their dance a bit out bc its suppose to be dance by 9 members instead of 8. one of the members not taking part during this promotion after their finished recording the album bc she's take a break for a while due to anxiety issue.

20:04 The "extra 5%" girls are (in order) Sana, Tzuyu, Jihyo, and Mina.
God jihyo is really amazing, the main vocal even though she had trained to be a main dancer, it's why she's amazing at both.
Kiel Tutin helped choreograph I Can't Stop Me. He also choreographed More & More, Cry For Me, and Better (Japanese release) this year. They really have stepped up their game in terms in choreography.
And like others pointed out they are missing a member right now. If you happen to watch Better and Cry For Me (MAMA 2020) performance videos, there will be 8 members.

I think everytime you react to a Twice video, you should always count if they're complete or not, because usually one member is always missing 😆

I have to make a little correction.. you said "they are singers who dance" and although is true for some, there's a lot of idols who were first dancers who start singing or rapping (for example Jhope (hiphop street dancer) and Jimin(prodigy in contemporary) of BTS)
and at the end of the day they are both dancers/singers.. rapers/dancers..
There's a lot of variety in idols.. there's actors who start dancing and singning, dancers who start singing/rapping, singers who start dancing/rapping, etc.
And there's ones who did all of that before becoming idols xD
There's a lot of backgroun is not like in the west were companies only take singers and make them dance..
I know is not a big deal xD there's nothing wrong in being a singer who dance, but by saying that I feel you are taking half of the soul of some artists who were dancers first.

when I cant stop me came out I was shocked bc twice have good choreos, especially with their recent releases, but I Can't Stop Me was on a whole different level. (Side note! I think you'd really like seventeen's FALLIN FLOWER! 24H is also great, as is Don't Wanna Cry!)

The formation still includes one of the members who is currently on hiatus (resting) now, that's why some are quite off. But some also are adjusted for a 8-member-formation. Some clips of the choreo with 9 members are in the MV itself. Thank you for this! Another awesome breakdown!

you should definitely check out seventeen's dance practice video for "24H"! the choreography is absolutely insane and is so intricate. they're self-producing idols so they choreograph their own dances and produce their own songs (with the help of the company's choreo team). they're also known for being one of the most in sync groups + have some of the hardest pieces in the kpop industry.

You should check out boA! Her song “BETTER” was just released. One shot two shot, no1,
Camo, and Woman are some of her top releases. She just celebrated her 20th year of her kpop career and always picks taemin (her junior artist from the same company) as her dance partner for certain songs (he’s performed ONLY ONE with her for the last 9 years). She worked with Britney Spears in her rookie days and has been a household name in Japan and Korea since the early 2000s. Absolutely love your detailed reactions!

The8 is a member of the group Seventeen (which I’m sure you’ve been told to watch a bunch of times already) and has a background in b-boying and contemporary dance.
There’s no dance practice for it but there is a behind the scenes for the making of the video if you’re interested in that as well.

i'd recommend you to check out nct u - 'the 7th sense' ,, its considered one of the most difficult choreo's in kpop which a lot of people don't really see when u dont rly have the knowledge. Love to see your analysis!

Hi. About the first half of the video, I think you could have checked the number of the members. You reacted to Feel special 4 months ago but I guess that you haven't seen them since that day. For the record, Twice is already a legendary group and their last songs aren't cute (checked the MVs and lyrics if you want). During a good period, there was a cutely dominance but they showed versatility in many ways especally the special stages.
Indeed, there is something wrong with the formations but Jeongyeon is supposed to come back. When she had to stop because of her anxiety, after the most exhausting choreography (More & More) done with an herniated disk, they haven't modified it.
It happened on past eras and esthetically, it would be better to modify the choreo or giving lines to the other members but in a way, the fans are happy to see that the lacking members aren't forgotten.
Anyway, I enjoy the video so far. Let's get back to it.

JeongYeon's absence is so clear that it clearly lagged Emeroy's brain.
I think you already know but one member is missing there because of mental health issues. You should react to their little sister group ITZY - Not Shy, they got a lot of formations there and is pleasing to look out despite only being a 5 member girl group. Also Gfriend, Loona and IZ*ONE
