    Rec D doesn't have nuclease activity it only has helicase activity(5'end) it is Rec B responsible for nuclease as well helicase (3'end)

      As far as I know the repair system working after replication are : Direct repair (photoreactivation), Base excision repair (glycolase, AP endonuclease,etc), Nucleotide excision repair (Uvr enzymes) and Mismatch repair ( MutS, L, H).
      Probably ( I am not sure) the ones during replication are recombinational repair systems : Homologous and NHEJ.

      Yaa if there is vertical cut in both the junctions then mmqq both strands will be on top and MMQQ both strands will on bottom
