The Rare Black Rail

Black Rail, a state endangered and federally threatened bird, is one of the most imperiled avian species in New Jersey. They have highly secretive habits, are very hard to visually detect (spending most of their time under the cover of vegetation) and call primarily at night. Join us as we follow the NJDEP Fish & Wildlife Endangered and Nongame Species Program’s effort to document this increasingly rare bird!
