Amazing video. Exactly what every mechanical tutorial video should be. Great camera setups, just the right amount of guidance (no ranting) and you actually went step by step and showed putting it back together. Thanks a ton man!
Great video. Methodical and well-explained. I am replacing my Murano radiator this weekend and this video answered a lot of questions about the job. Thank you and well done.
This is the most thorough video for the Murano I was able to find, so thanks for that. Having said that, the audio quality is pretty awful; I had to turn on CC so I could tell what you were saying because some parts are too loud and some parts are muffled. I get it because it seems like something I would do, but just for future videos, beware!
@@carismasociety Thanks for your response! My grandson and I attempted this yesterday on his Dad's 2010; I am no newby to working on cars, but after replacing the radiator in his 2004 Avalon in two hours, this car is ridiculous! We came back to your video several times but there were still some things that were very frustrating. We broke several clips holding the grill in because they are very difficult to release. It took us 4 hours just to get the old radiator out! We took a lunch break and went at it again to install the new one. Once we had assembled everything back and started the car I noticed an oil puddle under the driver's side, so I shut it off! After some investigation I found that the top transmission cooler line goose-neck was leaking where it connects to the radiator. OK, I had tightened it as much as I thought I should without breaking it, but I guess NOT TIGHT ENOUGH! Today we have to do it all over again! UGH. I hate this car!
Good job buddy, I just changed my wife's out after viewing your video, good video, it definitely helped a lot, the thing that gave me more problems than anything was the fkn hose clamps, unbelievable. But yea your video definitely helped . Thanks D
Great video and yours is the best one at explaining the removal of all the bolts and clips involved. I have a 2011 murano and the layout is exactly the same, this will be my first attempt at changing a radiator. So all together I will need a 10mm and a 13mm socket ,long nose pliers a drain pan, some coolant. was there a risk of losing any ac charge with removing any of the bolts attached to the condenser? I guess removing then battery made it easier to remove trans lines as well. thanks!
@@carismasociety I forgot to ask .did you do a pressure test on the rad before determining that the leak was in fact not coming from somewhere else such as a hose or even the plastic drain bolt on the bottom? thanks.
Best video for Gen 2 Murano radiator replacement. I was trying to do it without removing the bumper cover.. wasted a lot of time, just couldn't get it out without causing more damage so I gave up for the day and did more RUclips research. Glad I found this video, and will hit it again today after work. Keep up the great work! BTW, how much CVT fluid did you have to add after this job?
Thank you! What can I buy to replace the plastic retainer pins for the splash guard? I also removed a 10 mm bolt from the left side of the Ac condenser and while it was sitting all of a high pressure amount of anti freeze came out of where that bolt connected to and kept lines together . I replaced the bolt but what did I do? Cause any more damage? what can I do to fix that pressure in the condenser? That was before watching a video on how to I was trying to wing it. Last time I do that
Great video though I will definitely be watching your videos I had 0 problems taking the radiator out except for trying to get to the hose clamps whoever installed them need to make them more easily accessible I was cursing them! Keep making videos yours are by far the Best
when I poured coolant... it leaked directly under it... does that determine it's a radiator leak or a hose leak? it leaked more on the driver side and just a little from the right side..
Good vid , but you failed to mention the hood latch was 13mm ... I wish people list all the tools you need during the job
Your comment will help others!
lol you must have not watched the video. literally says its a 13mm.... i wish people would actually watch the video instead of being so dumb
He did say that
He did say remove 3 13mm screws from latch.
It was a thorough video, I like to do my homework before I do many jobs. This was a fine job description thanks.

Thank you for your feedback. I really appreciate it! I've upgraded recording devices since then and worked on my audio editing!

Great video, thanks to this i got my radiator replaced in a couple of hours, very useful all the step by step
Thank you for this video. Awesome job with taking apart murano. Very vital information on how to do mechanical work .😊
Well done! I wish more DIY videos were like this. Maybe I can finally get my radiator out!
I have to remove the whole front just for the radiator..... Great can't wait. Barely made it home work!
Hope it went well!
It actually did go pretty smooth.... The shop wanted about $900 to do the job....lol
dude your a life saver
Well done young man, my first one done at the dealer was a pain all because of the clips on the grill.

Great Job, I'm going to take on a similar job in 24 hrs.
If you are going to do it, definitely have a pair of offset needle nose pliers for the pain in the ain hose clamps.
Thanks for the detailed info. Just replaced mine in a 2011 murano.

I personally don't recall having to fill up the a/c afterwards

I didn't. The radiator was dripping, so that was the only diagnostic I needed
Nicely done buddy! Ya save me quite a few curse words I’m sure!
Great Video. Thank you.
Great video. Thank you sir!
This was the best one I've seen so far. Great details on step by step. How long it actually took and was it expensive?
it took about 1-2 hours. It was fairly priced. i needed 2 coolant bottles and the radiator which was about $140ish before inflation hit.

Mahalo for your video. It really helped us!
The engineers who designed that car should be fired. Absolutely ridiculous the labor that some of the R&R jobs require to complete.
Oh yea, it’s a technicians catch phrase to say “bro wtf was this engineer thinking?”
Bro come on... u got to take the bumper off God damn

Less than half a quart in my case. May be different in other vehicles. id refer to the dip stick
Came home and 20 minutes later had the radiator out.. Thanks again
Great video 🎉🎉
Thank you!!

Sorry for the late response! You didn't cause more damage! That was the A/C Refrigerant. If you haven't already, get it vacuumed and filled

i just had that. you probably fixed ur car by now but for me it was the radiator that was broken
Great job kid off into ma backyard I go 😂
Thanks
Good video
Life saver
Do you have a link for the radiator?
I think I used Rock Auto
So, you didn't need to remove the ac condenser?
No
what a pain in the a** for a freaking radiator!!
Lot of stuff
