Planet fitness still exists?! We use to call it planet shitness. I never walked inside that joke.
Unless you're training for the Olympia, Planet Fitness offers a pretty good work out. For $10 a month, 24 hour access, and a clean gym, you can work the butt pretty good in there.
Granted, you're not gonna get Ronnie Colemanesque striations in the glutes, but you can rival Stephanie Sanzos.
AND, you can plant your glutes on their machines and play with your digital fondle slab for hours, just like everyone else in that abomination of desolations.

I 100% agree with Dave but, I also agree with John. Here in WV gyms are far and few. I know this area has one gym and its planet fitness. You can’t go 10, 15, 30min to a different gym. It’s more like 1hr each way and that’s in shity roads. So around here I understand. Luckily I got a good friend that owns a bodybuilder gym and competes so it’s a great spot.

The problem is there’s zero gyms these days and the ones that are are still complying with Covid hours and don’t have amenities you can tan at planet but most guys have 2 memberships real gym and planet only because planet is for the most part 24-7 these other chains don’t offer shit and 5 times the price the blood and gut gyms are gone

Guys, spend 3-5$a day (150$ a month) for a gym membership that’s private where you can get on any machine you want and do whatever you want to do. Stop drinking the pre workout crap, stop going to star bucks and going out to eat and pay more money to train at a nice place with less members.
People that spend 500$ a month on useless supplements or dining out but only 20$ a month on a gym has never made sense to me.
Your point is moot and entirely subjective on supplements. A quality-concentrated pre work has absolutely accelerated the pump for blood flow when training, and I wouldn’t go without. (I can tell when I don’t use and when I do.) I also use a highly filtered whey isolate post workout that adds to my daily protein intake and adds a lengthy BCAA profile that aids in my recovery process, coupled with other nutrients. I’d argue supplements has significantly aided in my workouts and post nutrition to build muscle, even if it’s in small strides. It still works.
Just because something you don’t condone for supplements, doesn’t mean it doesn’t work for someone else. You’re the type of guy who thinks whatever you say has all merit, when you it’s nothing more than your own anecdotal opinion, not a fact. And you call yourself a ‘personal trainer’ based on what you said? Yeah…Ok.
FYI….I don’t know of anyone who spends $500.00 a month supplements. That’s a total exaggeration on your part.

I hate PF but it's the only gym there is in a lot of places. I drive 35 min to train at another gym but that can't be expected of everyone.
The average hard core lifter is willing to drive 2.5 hours to get to the gym. Most people will not travel more than 1.2 miles to get to the gym, which is about 3.34 minutes.

Especially that we now know it was all overblown overreaction discrimination. People were being denied access because of their religious beliefs of vaccination, health issues or even having a ‘moral backbone’ as what Dave keeps saying about this? I agree with dave 100% on this but i cant help but notice a strong sort of hypocrisy between the two stances.
