In my humble opinion, I totally agree - the personal connection is WAY MORE important than any wicthy book recommendations or even any ancient magic book. Using things that are personally important to you is the actual witchcraft. Every recipe we praise today is someone's personally important ingredients. I really enjoyed the video, thank you!
I agree as well! In the past I have looked things up only to forget it immediately because I am not really relating to it on a personal level.
I just wanna say that I'm very new to all this. I'm just realized and decided to get more into witchcraft. I have been watching a videos for a couple months now. I have to say they're wonderful.
And ever since, I am decided to follow this path. I have never felt so alive And I can be completely myself.
I have meditated for years. And I've tried to be very mindful for years. But I never felt my true self until.
I started looking into being witch.
I hope there's no age limit because I feel like I am old at starting this, i'm 56
So thank you very much for your videos. I've learned so much already and look forward to Everything else that you share.
I love your videos & warm, down to earth personality! You always have such wonderful tips & information. My Irish granny always left out an apple on Halloween night as "food for the dead" to nourish any spirits that may pass by. The next day, she would cut up the apple & toss the pieces in the yard for any critters that might be hungry. I've continued this tradition. She also taught me to crochet - a hobby I have recently taken back up. For some reason, this year I have felt the need to crochet scarves for all my loved ones - almost like it's a way to send them a nice, warm hug.
🤣 lol yeah i hit that part of the video as I am figuring out how to make my own creamer so i don't have to run to the bathroom after I drink my coffee. lmao
I truly was unpleasantly surprised 🤣🤣🤣 from now on only homebrew
Remember that recipe for a cure for constipation 😄💩
Wunderbare Ideen! 🙂
Great video! I'm inspired to bury some old expectations and put them to rest. After 15 years, the same project gets *very* burdensome...maybe I'll celebrate after with a potion
Wunderbar !
Dankeschön!
Thank you for these ideas. I love love love all your videos! I appreciate everything you do!❤
I'm so glad! ☺️♥️
You have such a great personality! I love your videos!
Awww thank you ☺️♥️
I am with you on the candles but didn't need to read about the toxic ingrediants as I unfortunately I react physically to them. Thanks for your video, always love some time with you🥰
Oh brilliant timing doll. Thank you so much. Best wishes to you & yours. XXX
Hope you enjoy it!! Have a lovely spooky season X
And the same to you &yours doll. I've already decorated the log burner/mantle area. XXX@@Thewitchescookery
Blessed Samhain from Seattle USA! Hope all are well across the pond...
Love the realness of the personal relatability to PSLs 😂❤ happy samhain!
Thank you so much for this sweetheart. I find this time of year to be both my favorite, and a rather difficult one as well. My mother was adopted, and I never knew my father, so I have no real ancestors. I don't live in a place where any of them would have lived either, so I can sometimes feel disconnected. I don't speak to my mom for a decade now, and I don't plan to, so I even have no family to speak of aside from those I've chosen. I have a husband, and my friends are all men, for no particular reason. Thus I have always had trouble connecting with my own feminine energies. Always being "one of the boys" sort of. But I love to craft, and cook, and make magic. I paint and sew and do embroidery as well. I've actually been a witch for 30 years, but always alone. You inspire me to enjoy myself and love myself and be a woman, and you make me feel less alone. ❤
😂 You're smart, funny and authentic. ❤ We love you.
Oh wow I have the same problem with the candles. I want to by them so bad, it sucks. Also u r hilarious 😂
"Clench!"...Lol!! You are so funny Bex! Thank you for always inspiring and bringing us some chuckles as well. 🧡🧡🧡
You're one of the only witches that I understand. You and Molly Roberts Art Magick.
Perfect cosy autumn vibes and witchy inspiration! Great to get into that seasonal mood while I practice my marine mammal levitation ;-)
So happy to hear! 'this that time of year again where witches shall gather along shores to perform this time-honored tradition 🐳
Lovely witchy suggestions, as always dear one.
Glad you like them! 🎃
SO HAPPY to see a new video again this week! Especially right after taking a ritual bath to wash away self-doubt and insecurities, and then I get to treat myself to a beautiful bedtime video by Bex! Sigh… your outdoor videography is so gorgeous it makes me want to hop on my broomstick and fly away to Bavaria right now! Thank you so much for another dose of your magick.
My witchy sister, you always make me smile and laugh! I love your sense of humor and the way you teach!. Blessed Be to you and your crotch gobblins!
Healing the Witch Wound is absolutely the Best! Personally, a must read! I happened to have been doing my shadow work when I read it. Wow, it was a great aid during it, plus just a great read. Love this time of year! Thank you for always making such amazing videos 🧡
Thank you for your tips.
Glad you like them!
It’s the best time of the year! I loved Of Blood and Bones. Looks like you got a Witch Casket, too! 💜 Sorry about the 💩! Eat some cheese! You always make me laugh!
It's a fantastic book! And no, didn't get it from witch casket - it was a book that the people from my workshop read in their book club. Hahaha the 💩 was cleansing in the most unpleasant way
“Clench”. Omg this is why I follow you! 🖤 Love all these suggestions. Blessed Samhain!
Wonderful ideas, danke! I appreciate you mentioning having enough spoons...I am a spoonie and don't always have good days. Samhain blessings to you, friend 🧡🖤

Congrats on your Audible sponsorship. Quite the accomplishment and well deserved.
I was soooo excited hahaha
Greetings from the tropics, Australia ❤🇦🇺
Wonderful video and such beautiful scenes and settings! Thank you for a lovely start to the Season 💕
I love love love your videos! I will definitely be taking your suggestion for the burial practice. It makes so much more sense to do this during this time of year following the natural cycle of the seasons versus randomly like many do at New Years. Thank you for the excellent ideas as always
Your Apple cake recipe please💚🧡💜
Congrats on your Audible sponser 🎉🎉 I listen to Warrior Cats books thru Audible. Love it!
"I ruined so many fun things that way." You sound like me after I started paying attention to the ingredients & nutrition labels of food I regularly bought at the supermarket...!
Im a new-ish witch, been practicing for about a year. I am struggling with trusting my senses (especially when it comes to meditation and connecting with my spirit guides). Probably due to my religious upbringing and the process of losing a religion. For example, I have had a couple of mind-blowing meditation sessions meeting/working with my spirit guides. It all is real to me when in the meditation and the days immediately following, but as time goes on, I doubt my experience. I always feel like I need verification that it all actually happened.
All this is a long-winded way to say one of my goals for this winter is to work on that, and I think your burial ritual is a perfect place to start! What a great idea 😁
Thanks for all your great ideas and cozy content ❤
beautiful!! I can't wait for samhain finally the time is right for letting go rituals!!
Been making candles out of old wax for years. They are always the same colour red or brown. Use toilet roll centre for mould and string for the wick.
I wish I had time to do some witchy things but I’m in the US and we put on a big display (Halloween stuff) and do a public walk through with food and drinks served. This year it’s pulled pork sandwiches BBQ style, hot chocolate dispensers running all night, non driving adults can get a cup of cinnamon whiskey spiked apple cider or have the hot chocolate instead. Treat/toy baggies and juice boxes for the kids to take home. Hundreds of people come through, and we work from the end of September up until the week after to get everything put out and then put back up. I have some really big tall props and a lot of animatronics that run on electricity, so none of it is easy to deal with. Yesterday we worked all day while it drizzled rain on us, and we had out very tall ladders putting up a giant overhead spiderweb with glowing egg sacks and oversized baby spiders hanging down in the dedicated spider area where we have two giant spiders out on the ground and some smaller animatronic jumping spiders that lunge out at people’s feet when they walk by. I’m so exhausted after all of it that I’m still not good for a week after that 😂. But my community loves it so much that we can’t stop doing it until we physically can’t anymore. So witchy videos will have to do with my morning coffee until I start another day of this. Thank you, your videos are beautiful and positive. They help me remember who I am when I’m lost in something else for awhile.
This video was chock full of Wonderful ideas and Beautiful photography 🥰Thank you so much Bex 🧡🧡Happy Samhain Season 🧹🧹🔮🔮🧙♀🧙♀
@8:22 - I just unboxed a batch of pure soy candles for autumn, Hazelnut and Almond Vanilla. The soy candles are much safer than the petroleum ones. Mine came from Pure Integrity, but there are several online stores that produce soy candles, as well as the pure Bayberry wax ones (wildly expensive, but worth it for a special evening.)
Oh no that dessert! Maybe a little steamed rice? That helps. I need to make myself more potions. I do make myself a lot of beauty products but a good brew just sounds nice!
Yes, autumn is so magickal! I do love pumpkin spice, but in candles, aromas, etc they are usually toxic and we dont really get that in Spain anyway.
As aromatherapist and herbalist, i make my own pumpkin spice candles from essential oils we distill. Message me if ur interested. But definitely, making your own spice blends and autumn spiced aromas and food at home is the go.
13:49 Lol gross .... here's to keepin' it real sister. lol thanks for your down to earth nature and honesty.
I just love your videos. You bring so much happiness to things. I never go a video without laughing. 💜💜💜
Love these ideas! Congrats on the sponsorship FINALLY! Hahaha 🎉 *clentches* those pumpkin spice drinks can sneak up on ya 😂❤ Blessed be.
Blessed Samhain, Bex. Thank you for all the wonderful videos and the inspiration you provide x
So glad that we found your channel.
Loved the ideas I will leave apples as a offering out on Salem. And look up spells with apples. I really enjoyed this video blessed be
Thank you for reminding me that I have to re-start doing shadow work, I took a maybe a little too long vacation from it and I have to get back at it again. Beautiful video! I also want to try your pumpkin spice cake from the last videos
Scented candles -YES!! I have learnt too much about them! I cannot understand why they're not more regulated.
I'm reading Healing The Witch Wound at the moment! So good to hear you enjoyed it.
I haven't been practicing or focusing on spiritual growth for the last few months, and jumping back into your videos after a while is really comforting and encouraging. Thanks for making videos like this!
Every video you make something that looks so yummy. When are you going to write a cookbook?
Adore you and your channel!
I absolutely love your videos. They are very creative, detailed, and knowledgeable. Your positive and goofy attitude and perspective helps to remind us to be gentle, appreciative and grounding. Keep smiling. Thank you.
Thanks for this! I love everything you do, and so jealous of your location!! It's beautiful there!
As always you have very cozy and easy to do ideas 😊 Thank you! 🍂
Love all the great ideas, traditions, and just the witchy vibes all your videos have, but especially this time of year I feel like there is magic jumping from the screen just waiting to be embraced. Looking forward to the next one as well!
❤❤ thank you.
Any time!🎃🧹✨
I always love your videos, and since I love Autumn so much, this is even better! 💛🧡❤
Also I was excited to see the California poppies! Although they likely aren't called that everywhere, I imagine.
In German we call them Kalifornischer Goldmohn (Californian gold poppy) 😄
@@Thewitchescookery That’s so interesting, thank you for letting me know! As you can tell by my profile picture, I like them quite a bit 🧡
@@MissEliseIsTired indeed haha that's why I shared that tidbit 😄♥️
Bex, I love how you set the tone/mood for the Season.
I have read blood and Bones !!! Its extraordinary No nonsense book on darkness and Shadow.
It's suuuuch a good book!!
@@Thewitchescookery stimmt !! Ich wohne auch in Bayarn
I can not bake for the life of me but I love seeing the gorgeous food you create 🥰
Hi Bex! I'm also a fellow scented candle enjoyer and I recommend looking into soywax candles. They're non-toxic and I find that they burn so well and longer than other candles made with parafin wax and all of theo ther toxic stuff.
Personally I prefer bees wax to soy, as I can get the wax from my bees and it isn't toxic. I know a lot of people enjoy soy wax, but I don't really like soy products personally because of their negative impact on the environment (deforestation and the likes)
Lovely and inspirational video! I adore how passionate you are about your craft and helping others find theirs!
I love all of your videos so much! And your humor is the best.
I absolutely love Of Blood and Bones. It immediately became my favorite witchcraft book I’ve ever read once I’d read it. I’m currently working on two spells out of there. I recommend it to anyone who is considering it, it’s so good! It also looks like you get Witch Casket boxes! I love mine 😊.
It's such a good read!! This is now the third comment about witch casket so I am curious: Is there anything in my video that looks like it's from it? 😄 I have no idea what people are talking about
@@Thewitchescookery For me, that black book of shadows looks exactly like one I got in one of the boxes. I don’t know what others may be referring to.
@@riveramnell143 oh yeeees!!! True - that is indeed from witch casket 😄 they send it to me to try out that box
Great episode!
🍎🌳🫚🍂
Thank you 🎃🧹✨
Beautiful video!! Got to watch again cuz I found myself completely mesmerized by the stunning footage of misty woodsy. The dark arcana theme definitely resonates within, especially this time of year too. Like welcoming home a relative that hasn’t been seen in a while. Wonderful ideas, I’d like to try my hand with a soul boat. Think my daughter will love the craft. Thank you again!!
Congratulations on your sponsorship! 🎉
Thank you ☺️♥️♥️
I love these ideas! I have the hardest time starting things/ deciding what to do. The perfectionist in me makes me feel like i need to have everything figured out beforehand OR i need to have the perfect setup or ambiance before i begin which means my witchcraft journey has been more halting than progressive. I yearn to do more but i also feel stuck in my own head 🥲
I so love your videos! I hope you feel better soon. Thank you for the book idea, this time of year I get to read more. I spend less time in my garden. Blessings and love to you and your family. Your videos make my day. Thank you
Blessed be
Thank you, Bex❤ Great video
Happy Samhain to your family & you, Bex 🎃👻💀 Im so bummed I couldn’t join you for the Samhain Retreat this year but Im sitting my Intentions for the New Year to join you in 2024 🤞🥳🍾
2 hours to eclipse here. I’m glad to see you and this video. While I reorganize my outdoor Halloween decor! We got a down pour of rain! 3 inches yesterday and 2 day before ☔️
Thank you for sharing these videos with us. They are so uplifting.
Beautiful video. Love your genuine spirit and expressiveness. Autumn is my favorite time of year, for many of the same reasons you name. Thank you for sharing and spreading the love of our craft. 🍁
For me connecting with the seasons is nearly impossible because i live in Hawaii, specifically Honolulu where we have summer hot and dry, autumn hot and humid, "winter" hot and dry which is exactly the same as summer, and spring hot and humid. Different islands especially the Big Island do have "traditional" seaons because their elevation along the slopes of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa allow for a seasonal change in precipitation and temperature. I've never experienced non tropical seasons for my entire life so i don't really understand seasonal witchery. i do understand howerver the intentions of each season and spellcraft each "season" when i feel the need to do so throughout the entire year.
I'm so glad I have found you! I love your uplifting personality! And your cakes... OMG they all look delicious!
I absolutely adore you 🥹 thank you for being an inspiration to my baby-witch self ✨
Loved the vid Bex, some of the things you say crack me up 😄
I'm glad! 😅
So excited for you for your Audible sponsorship! I actually already have Blood and Bone on audible! ❤❤❤
Thank you! It's such a good booooook ☺️♥️
Thank you so much for the lovely suggestions! :)
Of course!! 🎃🧹✨
Hello from Estonia! I love your videos.
Glad you like them! 😄
@@Thewitchescookery I like these videos because then I don't feel so alone (I am lazy witch) so hard to find info about witches here.
Bex, in the outtakes, giggling at her smutty audiobook collection.
Me: Same.
ahahah my guilty pleasures xD
Hi Bex! You dropped this video at the perfect time for me. So many wonderful ideas! You helped me jump start my creativity. I hope your diarrhea subsided quickly. 😂 Thanks for all you do and all the laughs! 🥰🖤🎃
so glad to hear you're also an #IBSWarrior

Hihi catching all worms here
Congrats on your Audible Sponsorship, you deserve it! Always fantastic content and beautiful clips!
I love your Videos!!🥰💗✨Thank you!
A friend from Wales told me that men in the UK don't kiss feet, they're rude. 😮
Nice cosy video as always. I hadn't thought about Autumn and Winter being a time of renewal, I associate that with Spring but you're right that for spring shoots to grow the previous years growth often needs to be shed. Was it you who shared that trees need to shed their leaves in order to survive winter and not freeze/lose all their moisture? Also as someone who suffers from migraines I totally agree about scented candles and all synthetic fragrances. I wish they'd all be banned and replaced with products containing essential oils or no fragrance as those synthetic fragrances are really toxic and make me very ill.
Bring on the ghouls and the spooks!! 👻👻👻
🎃👻✨
Hi Bex!! Thank you for this amazing video 🙂You are the best youtuber ❤
Awww that is a huge compliment ♥️♥️ thank you
Another great video, thank you! Your videos are always beautiful, full of simple and fun ideas, and inspiration.

Hi Bex,
Long long time ago when I as a young boy long before all the Americanism of Trick or Treat started, my mother and father would always take part in either Apple dunking “Apples in a bowl of water and take it in turns to take a bite just using your teeth” which was always dodgy with my dad as he had false teeth 🤣🤣🤣. Or the other way was tying the apples by the stalks to a string suspended across the room where you would lie on your back and try and bite them😉. Yes I know these games/rituals were to do with the persecution of witches in the past but were always family fun👍
I loved the visual of the dentures and the apple bopping 🤣 we do apple bopping with the kids too for our Halloween party
I am going to try rendered fat for candles.
I saw people make edible candles for spreads with that 😄 you can dip your bread in it while it also gives off some nice light!
She said new life 😏
Another wonderful video young lady, thank you 😘🍁🎃
Hahaha thank you 🎃🍂👻🧹✨
Cool 😀
I just love you
"Hey, I'm a witch, come and judge me." Ba ha ha, good one. So true!
😅
Love the comment about book covers.. I'm a witch come and judge me. That would be Christians. So many references in scripture on judging. Warning people not to judge. So what's the first thing they do, judge.
